BEST SMOG GUY EVER! GO HERE.He helped work with me and gave me ideas how to pass and he didn't charge me right away.And I'm very poor and I got it done.This guy is awesome. He's the one to go to and his place is on a driveway along the side of a dealership. It's a long driveway and you don't see a big sign BUT IT'S THERE. I wish he would put up a big sign from the street. He's worth it.

Bob was super friendly, I needed a slight change and a hose and went across the street to AutoZone implemented a quick fix came back and everything was good. Bob is a great guy.I get a place at 10

if you need to get your car smogged, definitely give hb smog a chance to earn your buisness. very knowledgeable when it comes to smogging your vehicles. will be bringing my cars here to get it smogged every 2 years.

Great experience. Friendly and fast service, great price!! 3 cars in line but only waited about 15 minutes and the test took 10 minutes or so. Definitely will be returning.

Nice convenient place to have Smog service done. The place is tiny so only one car at a time. But there's lots of parking! But the owner is friendly and gets the job done fast. I was very happy with his service.Note! Google navigates to the wrong side of the street. It's on the West side of Beach / back of property. The entrance is immediately after the Quality Inn Hotel. Just drive to the back.

This little place is GREAT. I got screwed by another smog place royally, they charged me $80 with no retest, knowing I would fail and then tried to pocket my $30 change. The gentlemen at HB smog let me know what I needed to do and did not charge me until I came back. He is very kind and very honest. He provided the promotional discount without me even asking. I will never go anywhere else!!!

This guy is so polite that you can't help but not like him. I've been taking my cars to him for 8 years (I think it's been that long). I've been around mechanics all my life and I don't really trust them. This guy is very trustworthy and won't lie to you. Just please don't go out of business because I don't want to find someone else.

Been here many times for many vehicles for over a decade...great no nonsense service. Good price...check their website and talk to the guy if you have questions or concerns. One caveat, the guy can get squirrely with his prices...make sure you LOOK at his QUOTE before he starts. He's done this twice, even after a quote for my exact car over the phone. I guess he just 'shoots from the hip' and tries to get what he can. I was a loyal customer for many years, many different vehicles...honestly, I'd rather pay more now and find someone new. I let it slide once cus it was still cheap but I'd rather not after he tried it 2x with me, and I think once with someone who took one of my cars.

Great place to have a smog done on your car. The price is reasonable and it did not take long. I like it because it went directly to DMv

Quick, efficient, friendly service. Great location, plenty of parking. Entrance is from the south lanes of Beach boulevard only, between Warner and Slater just past the Quality Inn and it is well sign posted.

Took my vehicle here last Saturday. There was a wait, but he worked quickly to get through everyone in line.Vehicle was running fine, no issues. Left it running, as he instructed. Before he even started the test and was plugging in, he did something to start tripping a check engine light. He brought me over, said that he wouldn't run the test today as it would fail.He printed the error code for me, and cleared it after I asked. Error code said "unknown error", and the report was for '96 Toyota and had someone else's Vin number. (Not my 2011 Subaru).He didn't charge me, and was fair the whole time. Said I could bring it in Monday after driving it 50-60 miles and couple of start/stop cycles to reset the OBD.I took it for a short drive later that day, no issues. It's run fine since then, no errors and just cleared a Smog Test at another shop. I don't know what happened, but I don't trust his expertise. 100 miles later now, still no issues and nothing since he was working in it. I'll change my review if something comes up, but from my perspective, it seems like incompetence and I can't recommend this shop.

I had a hard time finding the place as it is located in the back behind another business. Make sure to turn right just past the hotel on Beach Blvd. You can only enter from Beach not from the rear as my navigation was telling me. Place is great. I'm happy and my car passed the smog check!Service: Smog certificationService: Smog certification

Whilst other shops were closed on the holiday weekend, they were open. My car didn't pass the first time, and the guy asked if I had the car off for a while or had a dead battery. Both of which were true the day before. He told me to drive it for 40 miles so the oxygen sensor could calibrate.

My New Favorite SMOG Place!The Tech is VERY nice and polite and gets the job done at a reasonable cost too!They accept Debit, Credit as well as Cash. No appointment needed. First come, first served.A little bit hard to find, cuz it is in the back of another business, next to the Motell.Just look for all the SMOG signs along the street before the driveway entrance.Highly recommend this location!

Henry Skiles provided the worst service I have ever seen. He said my car was unable to run under his system. AND CHARGED ME FOR IT! Charged $30 for the labor when my car did not even get checked fully. His speech was very unpleasant to a new customer. He threatened to call the police if I don't pay. Skiles did not even take the time to explain why I had to pay the $30. Seems more of him demanding me for the money! This place does not provide the best customer service, I wish to never return to this place.

Fortunately, I showed up with no waiting. The operators were professional and I was informed of the exact price out the door prior to the test. I was in and out in a short time with the required DMV certification for renewal.

Found this place by accident, but what a find!!!First come first serve and seldom any wait at all. Reasonable and fair prices, along with A+ professional Service.GREAT PLACE and GREAT STAFF!I Highly Recommend Hb Smog

Henry Skiles damaged my vehicle and would not take responsibility. And when I questioned him about it, instead of being a nice, curious, and understanding business owner, he turned into a child and put the blame on me, yelled at me, called me shady, and said he would not take any responsibility.BE CAREFUL WITH YOUR CAR WITH HENRY. If he damages your car, it will be on your dime. Very poor customer service and a very poor attitude.

HB Smog made it so simple and was an easy process to smog my Father in-law s car. I recommend the shop to anyone.
