I am sooooooo SO HAPPY I found a genuinely GOOD, FAIR & HONEST shop to take my vehicle to. I was very skeptical to try yet another auto shop as I've been raked over the coals, and bent over with no Vaseline so many times before. It's painful you know.Now, I can put my fears to rest and I firmly believe I've found the best. These guys were honest as to what I did and did NOT NEED. They did not call with a laundry list of repairs or try to pressure me in any way. The quote they gave me was fair and the work was completed and correct and done before the end of their work day which was a PLUS for me. Thank you Dave, Omar and Staff for an exceptional first time experience. I have finally found my GO TO SPOT for my vehicle needs. Thank you Val & Mike for training the guys to do it right. I've used Beach Cities in the past and was happy with Service / Pricing - I had a lot of work done recently and was very happy with the honesty and customer service provided. I have just accidentally started restoring my truck and I hope that this shop is comfortable doing upgrade / aftermarket work because I'd love to use then again to get my truck running the way I want in the end!Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto brake repair, Engine repair, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

I was blessed to find Mike & Val through a recommendation from Val's dad, Flo!! Many years ago, we were both doing volunteer work at a food bank in Costa Mesa & I mentioned how hard it was for a female not to get ripped off getting her car fixed! "Go see my son-in-law Mike", he said, "He is the best, most honest repair guy in Orange County. He will take good care of you!" He was right. I never looked back & kept taking all my different cars (with their different issues!) to Mike from then on. Always honest, always straight and fair, always trying to educate you about your repair so you know what they are doing & why! Mike & Val make you feel like extended family. Good good folks! Don't take your car anywhere else. We have been going to Mike's Auto Service for many years. A friend first recommended them to us, and we have never been disappointed. They are not only good at what they do, they are ethical, honest, and always charge a fair price. I could not go to anyone else because I totally trust them. They provide a ride home or back to work if you need it. AND they are just the nicest people on earth! I recommended them with the highest recommendation possible.

Excellent service. This is my first time using Val and Mike's and I was extremely pleased. Mike B took care of me and I was very pleased with his communication. My service was completed faster than promised and for a little less than the original estimate. I was happy with my car was freshly washed when I picked it up.

I had an amazing experience. Val was so sweet and extremely helpful. I recently moved to CA from NC and had to get a safety and emissions inspection done and Val went above and beyond to get me scheduled and get my inspection completed. Make sure to go to Val and Mike s Auto Repair for any of your vehicle needs. You ll be so happy you did!

Great, friendly staff. Same day appointments and usually work completed same day! And service costs are very reasonable. I was happy when I didn t have to take my car to the dealer for maintenance. Everyone needs to have a great mechanic. Val & Mike s is that place!

Val and Mike's Auto Service is trustworthy and reliable. I have been a customer for over 20 years. The last two times I went to the dealership for my free oil change, the dealership told me I needed brakes and a battery. So I took my car to Val and Mike's for a second opinion and they told me that I did not need these repairs. I completely trust them and I highly recommend them!

I having been taking my cars there for years. They are honest, ethical, and I trust them to not take advantage of my knowing very little about cars. That was extremely important to me when I was a single woman, because some places will take advantage of you. Not Val and Mike's! They don't try to upsell you. I always feel like they will take great care of me and my car and that is priceless! Such nice people, too!

As always, Val was accommodating and worked with my schedule. Patrick was very pleasant and took care of getting me a ride back to pick up my car at a time convenient for me. I don't want to jinx it, but my car is running beautifully, like new. Thanks to Val and Mike's for your great service.

This was my second time having Val and Mike s Auto work on one of my cars and, like my first experience, everything was excellent! .. their price was very reasonable and their service fantastic! .. I highly recommend Val and Mike s to anyone who wants their vehicle serviced properly and at a fair and reasonable price.

I've been a big fan of Val and Mike's for nearly fifteen years, starting when the Honda dealer told me I needed a $1600 head gasket and Mike fixed my overheating problem with a new hose for $85.Later, I depended on them to keep our daughter s car safe when she was a student in San Francisco. Wherever they fixed something, it was always done right and stayed fixed. And with our daughter 400 miles away, that peace of mind was priceless.Just last week they replaced suspension parts on my Prius and replaced the brakes on my daughter s aging VW Rabbit with the same care and expertise as always. Finding the right mechanic is like finding the right doctor or plumber, and we definitely found ours. If I could describe Val and Mike's Auto Repair in just one word I would choose FAMILY. I felt so very welcomed from the first 2 steps when I walked in to the final steps when I left. I felt reassured and was told exactly what they were going to do to my car and they told me if they needed to do any additional work that they would call me immediately before making any adjustments. Very sweet people! I definitely recommend them! Thanks guys! :)

I highly recommend Mike's Auto Service for auto repairs. Mike, Val and the staff were very personable and professional. John gave me a ride home while my car was being examined. Mike called to let me know what needed to be done and got my approval before proceeding. They called when the repairs were complete and sent John back out to get me and bring me back to the shop. The bill was very reasonable and I'm very satisfied with the work done. An all-around superior experience with Mike's Auto Service!

We've ben going to Mike & Val's for over ten years until we moved to Irvine a year ago. After two miserable experiences with a highly recommended local mechanic we decided the drive back to Mike & Val's was well worth the extra effort. I noticed someone complained about their prices, but my experience has been that they charge top dollar for TRULY TOP OF THE LINE SERVICE. Courteous, friendly, professional, always on time, & they have never failed to let me know if charges were going to be more than I might have expected. (Notice I call it Mike & Val's; She's too important a part of this operation to be left out!)

Love Val & Mike's! They have been pampering me AND my car for the past two years. Friday I just dropped in and they were able to accommodate a new battery and oil change immediately! Bonus, if Mike's there, it's like going to the comedy club; can't beat that!

As usual, Val & Mike's Auto fixed my 15 year old Explorer. The radiator cracked which means I had no A/C and that is vital to my comfort. They got me fixed up within 24 hours and also offer a discount with Enterprise for a rental. Val & Mike has been keeping my vehicle in great shape for several years. They are also conveniently located in my area. Thanks to Val, Mike and Mike.

We had our truck come in for a new transmission. This place was charged us half than what South Coast Toyota was gonna charge! They finished within a week and our Tacoma is running well and happy! Geosyntec will always take their trucks there.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

last week while visiting a friend in Huntington Beach, my car failed to startwhen I was ready to leave. My friend then recommended Val & Mikes AutoRepair. I had my car towed to their shop, where they quickly diagnosed thatI had a bad starter. They got it fixed right away for a good price. Now I toorecommend their services to other friends.

Mike & Val s Beach Cities Auto has been serving my 4 vehicles for years. They are professional, thorough and still friendly. They always explain services needed and are helpful getting me or my cars back and forth. Needed some work done before a trip and they got me right in that afternoon. The staff is courtious and helpful, and my car was finished when they said it would be. Mike gave me a ride home while the work was being done. Have been taking my car to Val & Mike for sometime now and recommend them whenever I can - 5,stars for sure!

You guys are great. I drove in with minimal air conditioning, and an hour later, with awesome air conditioning. My 2 doggies and I am very impressed. Great, prompt service, at a fair price. It doesn't get much better than that. THANK YOU from Jane, Scarlett. and Dobie.Customers for life.

I don t typically leave reviews but I had to comment on the excellent service I received here. I came in for some odd engine noises and I couldn t be happier with the quality, speed, and cost of the repairs. Some guy named Jake had my vehicle diagnosed immediately; I had the diagnosis along with cost of parts and labor within an hour.Despite how busy they were, I was in and out fairly quickly. Nobody was trying to sell me extra wheels or services like most of the other places either. It s been a few weeks now and my engine noise is no more.I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a new honest mechanic. Thank you guys!

Mike's Auto gives both excellent car and customer service. I have an older Saab and they always have the parts and always know how to service it. Their prices are very competitive They have been so helpful to us over the years . I cannot recommend them highly enough.

There invoice says Quality Service and Complete Satisfaction is there number 1 Goal, but we are NOT SATISFIED. My wife took our vehicle in as we had pink fluid leaking. Estimated cost was $213 in parts and $468 in labor at a total of $650 for replacing a upper radiator hose, lower radiator hose, power steering hose and thermostat. None of these problems fixed the problem that originally was pink fluid leaking. My wife picks the vehicle up to be told that they did not fix the leak and that we need to now have our Water pump replaced for another $450. The excuse they gave my wife is that they pressure washed the vehicle and could not tell where the leak was until she came that morning. All we wanted was our leak fixed correctly for the original $650. They offered to give us a free rental car. We wanted a better discount then the new cost of another $450 out of our pocket. We explained our dissatisfaction and that they would loose a customer that had been there previously before with no issues, yet that did not seem to matter to them. I am disappointed!!!

I want to thank the professional staff and service. From the start Jacob Schneider guided me through the process of how the technicians assessed all aspects of any potential work. Everything was up front and honest which eased my mind as I had a road trip planned to Alabama and back. I am writing this review from Alabama and I am very happy to report that my 1997 Toyota Tundra purred all the way - I am confident that my return trip will be just as good . Thank you all - Val & Mike (& Jacob) you guys rock

I have used their services on various cars for over 25 years. Their work is consistently excellent and their prices are fair. I have referred friends and family to them in the past and all have been well treated. Oh, and did I mention they are NICE PEOPLE!
