As a long time BMW enthusiast, I am always challenged when I have a repair I need to do on my vehicle that I do not feel qualified to do. The typical fluid changes, basic suspension component replacements, and typical service items are pretty straightforward; at least until you go with a newer BMW.My E60 535i warned me that the engine was too warm, went into limp mode, and I did my best to pull over before it hit the dreaded "OVERHEATED". After chatting with Ben, he assured me it was most likely the infamous electric water pump and that as long as there was no COLD coolant introduced to the system and I did not drive it until it shut off, most likely it would be fine. After taking receipt of the tow after hours and showing me each step of the process, he recommended the N54 intake cleaning since it was time. As always, I was worried about the cost but 3rd Shift really came through as the most cost-competitive repair shop. The communication was excellent, pricing was competitive, and now my car is home and running beautifully.Overall, I'd recommend 3rd Shift Motorsports each and every time anyone needs a repair shop that will be fair on pricing, timing, and communication. Let his tech's work speak for itself since he really goes for the technical solution versus the book timing/cost. That is enough for me to brave the distance and ensure my only newer car is serviced correctly. Now to save for the turbos @ 120k .... see you soon 3rd Shift!

I drive an old BMW 325i. Being an old car it has issues and 3rd Shift is my go to place to get it worked on. The owner, Ben, isn't the type of mechanic to try and up sell you on a bunch of stuff. They let you know exactly what the issue is and what needs to be done. I really appreciate taking my car to a shop where I feel like they respect me as a customer and don't try to milk me on every job. They earn the return business.

Specialized in BMWs, but will do other vehicles as well. They replaced the intake on my Volkswagen in a few hours. Their techs are knowledgeable and thorough. Prices are very competitive. If you want it done right the 1st time, see these guys.

I've owned many BMW's and had work done at many shops over the years. None have been as great as 3rd Shift. The work they've done on my Supercharged M3 has all be top notch. I would highly recommend them!

To start If I could rate zero stars I would. Ben Hicks didn t give me a due date or a price for work he was gonna proform on my bmw so I told him let s start with a budget of 500. 3rd shift motorsports and Ben Hicks are dishonest mechanics they had my e28 for more then 100 days working on engine harness to fuse box rework. During the time they had it I waited about a month for a reference sensor and crank sensor . They also ordered a fuel pump for my vehicle and said they installed it. I asked Ben if I can see a receipt and pay/see the parts he orderd but said no since it would require him to look for the parts. My car is in the same condition since I dropped it off they did not work on it even after telling me they did. There is a Facebook group for e28 bmws that I posted if anyone knew a shop that specializes in older bmws due to the fact that the current shop (Did not mention shop name) isn t working on it everyday. 3rd shift motorsports and Ben Hicks called me after an hour of the post and said come pick up your vehicle it s outside our shop. When I asked why, he said due to social media bashing (one post without business name or tech names ) i asked how much I owe for parts installed and he replied by saying they took them off. (Never installed) I lost about 250 dollars in towing fees and 4 months of time. I would not recommend this shop to no one. I am a diesel tech and I am also ASE certified that s how I came to the conclusion that no work/effort was made. Also they do not return calls and or respond to messages. Negligent business!

Really disappointed tbh. I heard nothing but great things from this place that turned out wrong for me. fool my 1996 e36 328i in for an new engine since the previous one blew. After spending 3,000 for everything the day I picked up my car as soon as I left the show my check engine light came on , and a week later it was over heating so I spent another 100$ to have it towed back they supposedly changed the radiator pump because it bursted after that my check engine light was still one and Ben told me it was because my Seconday air pump so I changed that and still had a check engine light turns out my car is misfiring so currently my warranty expired with his shop, keep in mind I m only 19 years old I m not rich it s my only car and I don t have money to be dropping like that , the 3 grand I spent was all my saving and some debt , also this car is my daily I have no other car so now I m stuck with a misfiring car that is probably going to blow up again so yeah thanks 3rd shift motor sports .

Garage workmanship! They do not know what they are doing and dishonest. Take your BMW anywhere but here. Ben is a lying snake.

Ben Hicks is a dishonest sales person, quoted me one price on a Rear Differential, then sold it to someone else and told me it would of been more expensive anyways... got intouch with him on Facebook and he has since blocked me from the company and his personal pages and from the e39 buy/sell/trade **socal** page...I belive the sale was a complete scam because after being asked multiple time for pictures of the diff, he only sent pictures of a box when he was asking for payment...

Great place to work on a BMW especially if it's an older model from mid 90s to mid 2000s.
