Although we didn t stop at this place due to driving through here during the night and it was closed, I find it very important that they have this station placed here. As for someone who lives on an agriculture reserve, I find this inspection station very important for those who are travelling to accidentally not bring in potential diseases and insect infestations that could potentially be harmful to California s vulnerable agriculture land. Even if we were stopped I would gladly and respectfully allow my vehicle to be inspected upon request for any fruits or vegetables that could potentially be hazardous into this state. It is best to throw away any of those things before crossing into California from Oregon.

Go through every week. Answer questions about load and off you go. Only Mr Grumpy asks for paperwork. You will know who he is.

This place is pretty awesome. Well at least the two gentlemen that help me with my paperwork. Very polite, helpful and respectful with a lot of professionalism.

I have commuted back and forth to Oregon for almost 4 years now. It has always been a pleasant and professional experience. Recently, I have encountered a young woman(or man?) , while returning home after a 12-14 hour shift. I am greeted by a hostile, unprofessional, confrontational human being, that in my professional opinion, is not cut out for this job. She (he), stares me down, then asks the question "Do you have any fruit", I respond with a "No" and am on my way. Last night, was nothing short of confrontational. As she glared at me , she said " You KNOW that I'm ALWAYS going to ask you if you have any fruit".. DUH!! Isn't that YOUR job?? I hope she (he) can hang in there. The I5 corridor is over populated with some very unfriendly people, who will not tolerate her behavior/rudeness.

Nestled in the Cascade mountains. Peaceful place to sleep under the blanket of stars . Weather gets chilly around midnight. No restroom facilities provided for truckers .

Great waste of taxpayer money. I don't blame the employees, they are doing the job they were hired for but the state seriously needs to look at how necessary this isn't.

I often wonderif anyone ever admits they have fruits or vegetables when asked that question by the workers in the booth. What purpose does this serve. Easy job I guess. Waste of taxpayer dollar more like it

We reported a drunk driver to them tonight. Their response was "I don't think she is drunk, she is just Asain" I can't believe that! I honestly didn't know WHAT to say.

R.I.P. Medflies. Serious Q: if I bought apples in CA, tools them to OR for a visit, and still have a few left en route back to CA, so I have to disclose them here?

Planning on driving to California, called the Inspection Station to see what type of fruit I could bring into California. The inspector responded professionally and had the information I needed.

Given that California is a major agricultural producer it is the duty of the state to operate these inspection stations. I am surprised that other states are not as careful with their environmental safety.
