Gabe & I deal with the Hollister Monterey Credit Union for both our business accounts & vehicle financing needs. It is ALWAYS a pleasure to go into the branch as they are ALWAYS extremely pleasant & helpful. When we started banking with them Sylvia has been our personal banker . They have increased their staff & they too are very helpful

Called to inquire about opening a Trust account. I was told I would get a call back from someone at their credit union who deals with that. No one called back, so I called again after waiting two days. The woman, to whom I was transferred, was very curt to me on the phone, after I politely inquired what was needed, as a Trustee, to open an account. Immediately, I was being disuaded from doing so. I was told that because the Trustor has passed away, I would need "new Trust documents" to open a Trust accout. Unsure of what this meant, I asked her to clarify so I can ask our family lawyer to help with that. I had not been on the phone with this representative longer than one minute, when another woman abruptly entered the phone conversation, without saying who she was, or even addressing me, in a professional manner. In a very condescending way, she said, "Monterey Credit Union is not a good fit for you". I was aghast. Not only were they not versed enough in Trust accounts to properly explain what is needed to open them (though I was told originally that they do Trust accounts), but I was treated worse than I have ever been treated at a place of business. I hope my call was recorded, so management can use it to train employees on how not to treat their customers, and how not to lose business.

We have been a customer of mcu for years and they have the best customer service of any bank I have ever been a member of. Sylvia always seems to go above and beyond the normal to make sure that everything is done right fir me.

Sylvia was the most amazing Teller I have ever had the experience of working with. I came in to start a new bank account and I cannot believe how quick and easy the process was. I even got $120 credit for doing electronic statements. It's been about 12 years since I opened a new account and remember it being much harder and taking longer. She was bright, happy, knowledgeable and I am so glad to begin banking with this company.

Liz was awesome to work with. She helped me get a car loan fast and with a great rate. Super easy to work with and their online banking is very convenient. Highly recommend anyone looking for an auto loan or free checking account with a local credit union in Hollister!

The people in the Hollister branch are wonderful, and I want to keep doing business with them.However, if you want a CREDIT UNION you MUST NOT open a new account, as the bank's management is moving forward to change to a commercial bank instead, and has the audacity to send out a flyer to all the members encouraging them to use their votes to give up their right to vote.They want their shareholders in control, not their members. I should have seen this coming long ago, and even though I love dealing with the people in the Hollister branch, I'll be taking my money elsewhere, which I'm sure is okay with them because I'm not a millionaire.I quote from the flyer they sent me: "In a commercial bank only shareholders have voting rights. Accordingly, members... would not have voting rights, except to the extent that they became shareholders of the commercial bank.So, we get yet another commercial bank to choose from, and one fewer credit union.

I been twice to this location and both times the costumer service has been extremely good, both girls the one at the front door greets every costumer who walks in and direct them, and the teller is also very nice and patience. Very professional staff.

The manager is prejudice. So rude and will talk about you to your face. I will be closing my account and moving to another credit union.
