Marcus and Roger has always been honest and straightforward with anything I need. They help me maintain 6 vehicles to service the high desert area. They warranty their work, provide quality service with quality parts, speedy and friendly service. I highly recommend Scotty's Automotive to all my family and friends!

I cannot speak highly enough about Scotty's Automotive. The day before we went to see them we had driven 13 hours straight to camp up in the mountains nearby. In the morning we realized we had an extensive coolant link.So many times when you are not from the local area mechanics and shops will take advantage of the situation. I reached out to AAA to see if there was an approved shop in the area and they gave me info for Scotty's Automotive.They were a lifesaver. Roger got us in immediately to see what the problem was. They were efficient, professional, and down right wonderful humans in addition. Once they found the issue the cost for the work was what would have been their normal shop rates not something exorbitant to take advantage of our predicament. Kindness and compassion for our situation was obvious. At the very end I was told that they are a NAPA Center, which means there is a warranty on the work, and if anything happens I can take it to a local place where we live.I truly wish we had an Automotive shop like Scotty's up here in our area. Hesperia is very fortunate.

Scotty s is a stand up repair shop, reminds me of old school mechanic shop that you can trust. I have had nothing but great experiences with them. They are honest, professional and very knowledgeable. I drive 35mins to have my cars worked on by them and would recommend them to any of my friends and family. I have been using this shop for years. Over the past year they preformed an engine and transmission replacement on top of numerous oil changes. If I ever have an issue this shop and the friendly staff go above to make sure all is good. Wouldn't tell me what was wrong after the diagnostic test. Just wanted me to bring it in. Went to O'Reilly and found out my gas cap wasn't on tight enough! Total rip off scammers!

Had some work done on my truck and I could not even begin to tell who how bad my truck was done it has been thru a lot with me and to see the damage this shop done to my truck how they stay in business after rob left they took a nose dive to all bad ! there up to there bad ways again ! ! My truck has more damage than when it went in and instead of putting a dash in they smashed my dash in and glued the new dash and broke it and parts of the rest of my dash dented and scratched the new paint and scraped the tint I do have pictures also triple A called them and also asked for the old truck parts they never returned there call nor did they give me back my old parts and they used triple A name ! shame on you marcus! You should be ashamed of yourself for what you ve done to my vehicle and I hope you don t get the opportunity to do this to someone else Scotty s Automotive 16645 spruce st Hesperia California 92345 your shop does not deserve one star !!!!!!!! Shame on you !

Could have been done sooner for what needed to be done. I realize people are busy and short staffed right now. Nice courteous staff, my car seems to be fixed. Would've been 5 stars but it took way to long to get my car back.

I'm milking my Tahoe for as long as I can. It has it's issues but Scotty's is always there to fix her up. Great customer service and honest mechanics. Being a woman that is hard to find. They work with you and very friendly. They are AAA rated, so you get a discount there. I highly suggest this repair shop.

Had my SUV towed there before the Christmas Holiday's. Scotty's assured to me the SUV could be fixed. They did fix the vehicle and I'm pleased with the outcome though the SUV Rides good. But I'm displeased towards the end of my visit. I took my SUV back to complete smog inspection. As the mechanic came inside to give me my key's he discriminated against me. I did't appreciate the racist type attitude coming from him and another mechanic looking at me with his bulge looking eyes. I started feeling uncomfortable. I didn't feel comfortable at the end of my visit. Being an African American woman, I guess that was his opportunity to show out and at like a coward to show he's a racist bigot. I preceded to get my keys and paper work and headed out of the door before getting out rate. I appreciate them doing a good job on the vehicle but I couldn't take the racist mentality from the mechanics. I was gonna make them the ones to be my mechanics but that has been changed. I'll never ever go back there again for anymore services and not give them a recommendation to anyone to go there. I was so outdone with the RACIST attitudes!!

Called on a 2006 Toyota rack and pinion and got Quoted 1200 when three other places said 800 max, you guys will continue to get reviews like this if you continue to screw people . Why not clean up your act and do honest biz and build a better rep. Very unprofessional.

Rob at Scotty s is fantastic at his job. We re from out of town and needed last minute repairs to get home during the holidays and they went out of their way to make a stressful situation less so. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

This is the shop that other mechanics bring THEIR personal vehicles to. My truck was barely running. Now it's better than it ever ways. And the prices are reasonable. 100% reliable establishment. Love this place.

I brought my own part because I knew what was needed. This Marcus guy tears vehicle all apart so if I declined I'd have to tow it out of there then calls me "oh that's not how we usually do it". He then says it'll be $350 , I had no choice but to okay it , then I called 2 other places including Bear Valley Automotive and was quoted $150. When I picked up vehicle and told him that he quickly dropped it to $225 because he knew he's caught. I paid it even though still overcharged. Having been in the business myself for over 25 years I can tell you this a good place to get screwed. There's many times 2-3 ways to fix something and they pick the most expensive way and Mark the parts way up then nail you on the labor. There work is okay but they are unscrupulous. The people that like them , it's because the job turned out o.K. , they don't even realize what happened. Avoid these guys like the plague.

At Scotty's Automotive you can expect Quality Care at a reasonable price and you will be met with courteous and knowledgeable repairman. And they also offer AAA discounts. I was referred to Scotty's Automotive by a very good friend and I have taken my last two cars to nobody but them. And I drive from Lucerne Valley to Hesperia just for their service. I would gladly recommend them to anyone.

Extremely busy business, took company van there and they got right on it, still took about a week but considering how busy they are this was still done in a timely manner, and Niki and George were very professional, with top notch customer service... highly recommend.

Won't get repeat business from us because of one employee with a bad attitude. Didn't tighten a muffler bracket and got pissy when returned.did such a bad job positioning muffler rubbed a hole it it because it was up against the steering column. Had fixed by another shop. Sad because they could have had more business from a second car. Recommended by AAA, I will make sure when they ask me where I want it towed, I will say definitely not Scottys.

I would recommend them my friend Randy recommend them to me never been disappointed they don't give you one price and then keep changing like a lot of other places I've taken my vehicle there may be 3 or 4 times I have more than one vehicle though sorry They are the only mechanics we use Thank you

First off Mr. Kornachuck, I did talk to person you mention about possibly looking into another vehicle. Struts alone are $400-$500 for parts, no labor, no alignment, yes we do charge more on our parts, that's how we pay our bills. We also do not use cheap parts such as "WalMart" supplies. The other repairs (which you do not mention, radiator, water pump, belt etc) I wanted to break up into other intervals so it wasn't such a big repair all at once, for two reasons. 1) Not such a big expense to customer and 2) as most of our customers know we are a very busy shop because we are honest and prompt with our repairs, at that time to do such a big repair was difficult to get out promptly. When I talked with Mrs. ***** it was her decision to do all repairs at once to get the car in great shape stating "can't really find another car in good shape for that kind of money". I also find it odd you recommended this customer when she has been a customer of Scotty's Automotive since 2005 and been in since such "repair" you speak of.Mr. "google user", I understand your frustration about your "cruise control" issue. We were more than willing to help out, as a matter of fact I personally came in when the business was closed to help your son. I believe the frustration lies between you and your sons communication since you yourself sir was paying the bill, he ok'd it and you were a bit shocked how well he could spend your money. You did what you had to do and reported us to the B.A.R. (Bureau of Automotive Repair), something any shop owner dreads. After representative went over your story, our story and paperwork he did side with us making your rant irrelevant. Such Bureau is there to protect the customer not the shop, if we were "wrong" or "ripping off" they would have certainly taken your side sir.In retrospect, if anyone has a problem with us or our services please let us know, we strive and work very hard to keep everyone happy, as most of us know it's near impossible. Thank you

I told an elderly 85-year-old woman she needed struts and an oil change on her aging Oldsmobile. Typically this would cost $600-$700. She went out the door paying Scotty's nearly $3,000,about twice as much as the car is worth. They charged her $12.95 for an oil filter that cost $3.50 at Wal-Mart. They changed engine mounts, a pulley tensioner, you name it. The right thing to do would have been to give an estimate and recommend she replace her car. I would recommend Shattuck's instead. A woman working there was a little feisty, but he's very honest.

Took them a month to do a alternator and control module..then after I drove away..the water hose was pouring out water and had to send it back...cost 1,000.. to fix plus the almost 2,p00 I spent on Lyft that month for work...so much grease in the steering wheel

If you need a reliable mechanic! Take your vehicle here. Been comimg here for 15+ years. I'm a robot mechanic and had trouble with my 96 s10 that I couldnt figure out after I tried all options. Marcus and these guys took care of me and found my problem that I kept throwimg money at! Thanks marcus and crew!
