I drive all the way from Oakland just to see Jeff for my Mercedes. He is very knowledgeable, and gives great advice. It s always a pleasure working with him! So it s been exactly 1 week since I got my car back from the shop I had an electrical issue. (Wires)When I would press the start button to turn off my car, the engine wouldn t shut off right away. It would take a few minutes. It would shake until it would force itself off then my headlight would turn itself ON. (Yes, the lights were OFF) So b/c there was no other way for me to turn off, a button that was already off.. it would kill my battery which would make me jump my car every other day when it wouldn t turn off properly.Anyway I had already made an appointment at a Ford dealership in San Leandro for an oil change.. then I included the issue above. I had my car there for a lil over a week, I spoke with him the weekend after drop off (monday), and the day of pick up (the next Monday). I couldn t get a hold of him throughout the time my car was getting looked at.I called & spoke w/a few other ppl then I eventually spoke w/manager who told me he would get the guy assigned to me to reach out, which he never did. When I picked up the car, they said they couldn t find anything.A day after, the car started doing the same thing, I dropped my car off after hours (b/c of work)Spoke to someone new, asked for someone different for the lack of communication, the new guy didn t like that so much, so I took my car to the Ford dealership in Fremont,They ran another diagnostic (2), they too said they could not find anything, but that my oil was over filled & that I needed another one (drain out and put new), something about a lid under the hood needed fixing which would cost $1800, and I have bad tires in the front. They too had issues with communication, but it was kinda better then San Leandro..+ it was there a lil over a week b/c I had to wait 3 days for someone to run a diagnostic I honestly felt discouraged, and I didn t know who to trust.Then I went ahead and took it to Managal Motors, because I remember having a good experience with my rotors getting replaced a few years ago.I called in, I dropped my car off the day of. I was told that they were going to run another diagnostic (3) and that it would take some time to find out the issue of the car. They called for questions about it before working on it, plus called in again to let me know what they were doing, and what he thought the issue might be, and then I got a text of a receipt & a call it was ready. I dropped it off before their shopped closed on a Tuesday, and got the car back on Monday (they had it fixed less then a week!)I haven t had any issues with the engine turning off, or no spooky lights turning on by itself since & I was also told about my bad ties in front. (Which I did know about, I had my back tires changed, and I was working towards the front anyway) I felt like they actually took the time out to find out what was wrong w/ my car, & kept in communication, and my car wasn t even with them for a whole week.I m not sorry for the long review, I ve been really frustrated with the lost of money,time and lack of communication and trust. I m so thankful that my car is back up n running. THANK YOU MANGALE MOTORS!!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!Ps. I had some burnt wires (from a car accident) that needed to be replaced, and the total cost was $537.69Which includes a diagnostic, parts, & labor.

Some of the best services I've gotten. I'm new to the area and it could be sometimes hard to find a decent mechanic. I checked Mangale Motors reviews on google and they were really good. They live up to those reviews too. I took my car in for an oil change and they inspected my car just to make sure everything was working well. No funny business, only amazing integrity. Jeffrey and John are extremely kind. Jeffrey let me know what I may need done on my next oil change. I will definitely be taking my car back to get it serviced here again. Few weeks back, I took my car into mangale motors due to engine light and was severely lacking in power. It was diagnosed with engine misfire and that rodents had chewed through 2 of the spark plug wires. The chewed wires were right under the engine cover with easy access. In the end, I was charged for 2 hours of work plus diagnostic and fees for $540. After examining the wires and the work that was done, it seemed clear to me that charging so much was excessive. The wires were simply crimped back together and taped back up. It was exaggerated to me how bad the issue was and how much work had gone into a $540 simple rewire job. While they were great in service, I felt like they took advantage of a customer situation by over charging for a rewiring a few small wires.

Mangale Motors seems reliable, friendly and very competent. The estimates ahead of time have good level of detail, and in the three times that I have had them work on my car I never paid more than the estimate. If a friend were asking me where to go to get their car fixed I would recommend Mongale motors.

Easy to communicate with them and called to set up a drop off and pick up time. They texted me updates and questions. Reasonable quotes and if they have time it's easy to add on services (went in for brakes and added on an oil change). Got my car back sooner than expected. Their lot and shop is small so be careful pulling in and out. Will be back here! Friendly and easy to work with!

Jeff and Jon are amazing! I came to them last year and again this month. They helped me understand the issues, they provide options that are suitable to my budget, and most importantly they are honest. I trust my vehicles in their care. Very rarely will I write reviews but this is well deserved. John and his son are true professionals. They ordered and put in a whole new engine for my car. They provide quick and friendly service and the car is running beautifully. I trust them wholeheartedly and you will too.

My drivers side door actuator on my Honda Element was broken and the awesome team at Mangale motors got me in right away to fix it. Plus it was at a reasonable price. =)It would have cost me double at the dealership.Great people that genuinely care about you and your vehicle. Highly recommend.

John and Jeff are the best! They will help you always with a smile. I feel safe bringing my car here, they do not over charge or suggest things you don t need. Mangale motors is the only place I d take my car to, I ve been a costumer for almost five years and I couldn t think of better hands to take care of my vehicle.

Took my car here after a nasty engine fire (electrical) and was very pleased with the service. I worked mostly with Jeff, and I can say that I trust him with my car; he got my car back on the road quickly and at a very fair cost. If he had been less scrupulous like some other mechanics I've been to he could have gouged me.I also opted for an oil change and other general services (had been far to long on filters for me), and his prices were completely fair. Definitely bringing my cars back! If you're looking for a mechanic in this area give this place a try, you won't be disappointed.

I came in with a check engine light and my car surging on idle. Jeffrey supported me in identifying the problem, running a diagnostic (though I didn't get a full diagnostic because of the time and the focus was on the idle air control valve) and conducting a cleaning of the throttle to help alleviate the idle surge.It was very helpful and my car feels back to normal, for now. He did give me an estimate to potentially change my idle air control valve if I need to in the future.Overall, really great to chat with him. I felt like he cared about my situation, was kind and listened well.

My dealership quoted me a stupidly high number for brakes & rotor replacements so I called these guys, who are pretty close by. There super nice and professional. I really like how informative they are, and they text you your quote. Will definitely be returning.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Trustworthy mechanics. My Ford Escape had stalled on me a few months ago and my brother called multiple places asking for quotes on a new transmission. Mangale Motors was the only place that felt like they gave an honest answer and I had my car fixed in a week. My car hasn't had any issues since. Great service :)

The best customer service, does a great job, the staff are hella friendly. If you're in need of a trusting mechanic go to Mangale motors!!! Look for Jeff, he's very nice and trusting. Hard to find an honest shop these days and i know i found that with these guys.

I had a Pre-Purchase Inspection done on a car that I was looking out as I am from Alaska and had to do the whole transaction via email and text as I could not travel down do to work and all the lockdowns going on. They were extremely punctual and answered every question I had. Their inspections are a great value, so if you are thinking of buying a used car, have them look at it!

Mangale Motors was recommended to me by my daughter who is friends with one of the owners' spouse. In that the business also had excellent Yelp and Google reviews, I decided to take my vehicle to have it serviced. I drove 35 miles to Hayward to drop off my car, 2011 Nissan Altima 3.5 sr, for the following work - tune up, coolant exchange, CVT fluid exchange, and diagnosis of rattling from what I believed to be early stage catalytic converter issue.(Note: I had taken my car to the dealership previously to ask them to check on the rattling sound only to have them state that they did not notice it nor were they able to replicate it.)I dropped the vehicle off at 8am with John, one of the owners. I received a call from Jeff, the mechanic/co-owner, confirming with me the scope of work as well as inquiring in detail about rattling noise that I was hearing. He stated that the code reader did not show any issues with the catalytic converter. I described for him when the rattling is most noticeable. He stated that he would let the car sit for a bit and would try to listen for the sound again as well as to put it on the lift to check underneath. If he found the cause, he would get back to me. We agreed that if he was not able to find anything that it was best not to replace the catalytic converter. At this time Jeff stated he would provide to me an estimate for the work which he did in a timely manner which was through a link via text message. Given the amount of work to be performed, the vehicle had to be left overnight at the shop.The following morning I received a text message stating that my car was ready for pickup. I arrived and spoke to Jeff who was very detailed and patient in describing the work that was performed. He gave me recommendations regarding frequency of CVT fluid exchange and also where to purchase gas because certain gas stations have better additives/detergents which ultimately optimized the engine's performance.BONUS - Jeff cleaned the throttle body and did not charge me for his time or for the supplies that were required. He also check the air filter and also my tire pressure which he filled to the recommended PSI.Rattling sound - to my amazement, Jeff was able to find the cause of the rattling sound that the dealership was not able to. It was a mount on the catalytic converter that "lost its weld." Jeff gave the mount back to me, pointed out where on the piece the rattling had occurred, and advised that I have a muffler shop re-weld and secure the mount. Jeff stated he would have done this for me except that his shop does not perform welding. Needless to say I was just pleased that Jeff was able to identify the problem and that it did not require me to replace the catalytic converter.In summary, I am most satisfied with the customer service that I received from Mangale Motors. John made the intake and checkout process seamless. Jeff did an amazing job working on my vehicle, giving me service advice, and being patient with me and generous with his time. I cannot have asked for a better customer experience. Thus, I highly recommend you use Mangale Motors when you are in need of having your vehicle worked on. Trustworthy shop with honest employees. I have had bad experiences in the past with other shops lying for extra money/work or having unknowledgeable mechanics, but that is not the case with Mangale Motors. They do a solid job, charge reasonable prices, and work with integrity!

I really like this place. I've been looking for a local mechanic that I trust and I think I found two here. In Texas my father and I always did the work on any car I had, which was great. Since he's still in Texas and since I'm neither the most mechanically inclined nor do I have excess free time on my hands, Mangale Motors is great. I'll be bringing my Swedi back to them for more work in the future.

I Arrived at Mangales at about 9:30 AM and place looked busy, ( About 10 cars parked in the front lot), A very nice Asian Manager at the office said will be able to accept my Prius gave him the list of 200,000 mile Maintenance items to be done, I had all my own fluids, and he gave me an estimate of around $400, as he was not sure of all the needed services at this point, but I was sure total will be about $700.00 as it will take about 5-6 hours as a lot is done, Fan belt, PCV valve, All fluids changed, spark plugs, rotate wheels, Check everything, 1 or 2 test drives, The whole 9 yards.We both figured that my car will be there overnight and ready the next day, Perfect for me, All paperwork done and shortly afterwards, Jeff (Mechanic) drove me home, at about 10:30 AM. That afternoon, I got a Text message that the Actual cost will be $724.00 (Exactly what I was expecting for this much work that needs to be done)The next day, my Prius was finished by Jeff at about 2:50 PM, He came to my home to pick me up at about 3:20 PM to go to the shop and pay for the service ( Sweet older Asian man ) at the office, then I gave the nice Asian fellow a hug and back scratch, and I finally drove back home in Castro Valley.I did a quick check on coolant level and was a little low - Perhaps air bubbles formed when being re-filled.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I trust them with my cars. I have a BMW 328i nearing 180k miles and MBZ R500 with over 218k miles. In all honesty I should be looking at getting new cars, but don t want the new car payments. Jeff is always upfront and gives me the options on what repairs are absolutely needed.

I've returned to Mangale Motors for a few years now. Jeff and his team do an excellent job at pricing, time efficiency, and communication. I always leave the shop feeling like my car and myself have been in good hands. I'd recommend Mangale Motors to anyone in the area looking for a trustworthy mechanic.Tip: If you're getting picked up by a Lyft/Uber while your car's being serviced, walk (30 seconds) to the corner store 7-11.The Apps usually bring the drivers to the rear of the shop- requiring them to turn around the block again to find you at the front. Plus, you can get a coffee for $1.25 ;)

I ve had a excellent experience with Mangale Motors. They have repaired my car on multiple occasions. They offer warranty on parts provided by their shop. They have a quick turn around on most repairs.

I got my ac flushed and refilled and they are saying i have a leak since my system failed the vacuum test. They are sarcastic sometimes and don't really answer questions about the service in simple terms(they only speak mechanic) but overall they do there job well.

John was great! Very friendly and knowledgavle. He gave a fair estimate and diagnosed all the items needed to be addressed and suggested preventative maintenance for a fair price.
