Was forwarded to these guys by my body shop as I needed a full paint for my 87 Honda crx restoration. This car has never looked so good! Wasn't expecting factory level work but the silver on my car now sparkles and gleams and the repairs to the cracks and bumper are immaculate (paid a little extra for that). I did pay for the premium package which is still fair for how much painting typically costs. Turnaround was very quick as well!There is some overspray which was to be expected, I recommend removing emblems and anything you don't want overspray on, and I removed my trim pieces beforehand.Giving 5 stars though because getting a full paint job in the bay is impossible for restoration projects and I fully support this business for doing a great job for a fair price.

UPDATE: The owner of the shop reached out to me and asked me to bring my truck back so they could try to make things right. They repaired my hood and fixed several other issues with the paint work. While I am still upset about my wheels being ruined but I appreciate the owners willingness to try to make things right in the end.Original:Worst experience ever with any shop. Don t be fooled by Orlando. He s a good salesman, but don t expect to receive anything your paying for without serious issues. These guys ruined my 73 Blazer! They bent a brand new hood and refused to replace it or make it right. They got overspray everywhere, including my brand new wheels. While loading it on the tow truck, I noticed a huge paint crack and it was still at the shop! These guys have no integrity and don t care about their customers. Orlando literally laughed when I said that they needed to replace my hood and fix the other damage. The Bureau of Automotive Repair will be paying them a visit soon and if that doesn t solve it, they ll be seeing me in court. Also, their yelp page is fake. Check out the Maaco Van Nuys page. Did wonderfully on my Miata. Now obviously it won t be absolutely perfect but for below $2.5k don t expect it. I got mine for a great price with a holiday discount, and sanding and this paint came out to roughly $2k. If you have a car that could use new paint and one that will get driven a lot, I recommend. Even cleaned up my wheels too!Services: Painting, Body & Trim

This review is a little overdue as I had my 1999 Lexus painted a few months ago. I couldn't be happier with my entire experience here. Orlando and Raquel were incredibly helpful, professional and friendly. And the paint job- amazing! The entire process was great and went smoothly. Had a paint job at MAACO, Hayward, CA, back in June 2021. I was told that the over $2,500 paint job has 3 years warranty. The paint is fading badly and went back to have it repainted, unfortunately, I was told that I have to pay $1,300 more because there is a warranty breakdown for each issue. Huh, what??? I don't recommend this shop at all.

Orlando was awesome. I called Caliber first, who wouldn t work on my 1989 Mercedes because it wasn t in our quoting tool. I had little faith calling Maaco, but Orlando knows what he s doing and how to create a happy customer. We discussed options and he was very transparent about the process. I got what I paid for, and the end result certainly wasn t perfect, but it fit my budget and my expectations were appropriately set in advance.Service: Painting

Orlando is a knowledgeable guy. Did the job quickly and reliably for a fair price for my Focus. Some slight imperfections like slight paint flakes left over but nothing that can't be washed off.

I took my truck in on a Monday. I was told the truck would be done in 2 weeks. Four days later they called to say it was done and I picked it up that Friday. The paint job looks beautiful. I was running a little behind after going to the wrong location but my appointment was still good to go 10 minutes late. Orlando was very punctual and got right to my vehicle. Less than half an hour later, my headlights looked the best I've ever seen them. Thanks to the wait staff, very welcoming with coffee. Great value, would definitely come back again!

I came to the place in personThe gentleman was very nice he gave me an estimate never sent me an emai in regards to my car being painted in May. l I called back and asked where the email was that he was supposed to send me with the car photos and estimate that we discussed for my car to be painted in May. NOTHING no email, no nothing.

Wish I could give even more stars. The staff is very friendly! I took my car in to get a paint job as I had a lot of sun damage. They really went above and beyond, its like I have a whole new car! They even got my headlights clear! and they were able to get this stubborn tape off my window that was bothering me for years. I think they even cleaned the inside a bit. The price was extremely affordable! They had my car done in about 4-5 business days. Highly recommend!!Service: Painting

I don't appreciate"bait and switch". The on line estimate for repairs to my car were in the $750 to $990 range. I understand that this was a preliminary figure and they needed to see my car but the real estimate came out at $4775! (Subject to further costs as they started doing the work). Beware and plan for bad news. On the positive side, the shop manager was knowledgeable, genuinely nice and very straightforward.

I found the drive to Maaco direct and easy. The arrangements were easy to make and I was pleased to find that you were open Saturday mornings. That made it convenient. I was met by Orlando who did a great job of telling me what was available, and I made my choice. It proved to look great and I picked the car up a day early. This helped a great deal as I was very busy. The car was nicely painted and was up to my expectations. I have already recommended Maaco to the taxi driver that took me to BART, and a few friends. I was also thrilled by your price because I compared it to San Francisco prices. You have them beat hands down!

Great experience at this location! Front desk staff were friendly and professional throughout the whole experience, answering all my questions and communicating effectively throughout the whole process. The work itself was great quality for the price - got my whole car painted and some rust fixed. David and his team are THE BEST they fixed my 2018 Dodge Ram 1500 a day early and it was so perfect that I could not tell anything ever happened. David and his team are super knowledgeable and just nice people. I also had them do my Classic 1956 Ford Truck. They did such a good job that people always compliment me everywhere I go.I would highly recommend them for any body or paint work.Cheers,Carl

Not actually rating the shop for service.Went in and asked if he could take a look at the car and give me an estimate. He mentioned that they don t give free estimates or that they will deduct if you bring the car to them for repairs.

Didn t put car logo back on car, said that wasn t part of quote, but all other cars painted everything is put back on car make and brand lettering. Had white paint sprayed on tire and inside of wheel well said that was normal. I would of put up more of a complaint but the car was 3 days late in being complete when they already had it for 2 weeks. I couldn t be without the car through the weekend. Wouldn t never recommend, paid $2100 so those two items I would expect to be fixed or completed.Service: Painting

I had a fantastic experience with this Maaco. I had never worked with a Maaco before. When I dropped off my truck, the manager happened to be going the same direction as I was going, so he dropped me off on the way! This saved me getting a ride or uber back to town. It took about 10 days to get the truck completed, because they wanted to make absolutely sure it was done correctly. I was happily surprised how well it came out even though I got the entry level paint job. My full sized truck looks brand new now, and I will definitely come here if I need any future auto painting done.

Got the Groupon for the headlight restoration and it turned out great! Arrived about 1 min before my 9am appointment and there was no lag time...they were ready to rock & roll. My only actual interaction was with the receptionist, but the service I received from her was excellent! The guys were quick to come out & bring my car to the back. Before I knew it, the receptionist (wish I got her name) had already redeemed my Groupon & was handing me my keys. For $26 & 20 min, I could NOT be happier. My headlights look incredible, so mad props to the paint guy(s) too! Thanks Maaco Hayward crew!!

I had my headlights restored at Maaco in Hayward, shot out to my man Ryan for making my lights look like new! Thanks to Raquel and staff these are good people my wait was maybe 35 minutes! So if you want your headlights restored this is your place. Thanks again

Amazing service. They didn t have the exact color I wanted in their swatch books, but I had described what it looked like. I had settled on another color that they DID have , but when I showed up to pick the car up it was the exact color that I wanted in the first place. Great surprise.

We had our son s car painted with a different color, from brown to black and it turned out beautifully. At the time of estimate, Orlando said that it would show the dents and scratches of the car more if painted with a darker color but when it was done, it is spectacular! It looks brand new. Thank you for a job well done, Orlando and Maaco team!

I came in for a headlight restoration. I was greeted and assisted immediately. The work was explained to me clearly and was done within the time frame promised (20 minutes). The headlights look great. I m sure I will go back to Maaco Hayward for similar services.

I purchased a Groupon for Headlight Restoration at Maaco Collision Repair and Auto Painting. Roberto is very professional and helpful with my questions and scheduling. The service is excellent. They spray cleaning solutions before enter the car, and done within 20 minutes. Very happy with the outcome. My headlights now looks new and better.Kim Hoang
