I've been taking my 2017 Honda Civic here for almost 4 years now, and besides the routine oil changes and tune-ups, my car has never had any other major issues. I see reviews mention the price, but as someone who has lived in the area her whole life and has done extensive research around the Hayward, Castro Valley, San Leandro area, these prices are fair and if I'm trusting my car (something I rely my life on!) with someone, it's imperative that these are people that can provide quality service. More importantly, I've had more than satisfactory experiences here. I was first recommended this shop by a family friend who has been a customer here for years, and I was skeptical at first since I was used to getting my oil changes at Pep Boys. However, this was during Covid, so I really wanted to support more small businesses in my local area. Usually I'm wary of mechanics scamming me and telling me there's something wrong with my car when there isn't, especially as a young woman, but nothing of that sort has ever happened here. In addition, there was a time where I was not able to get off work early in time to pick up my car, but Ken was extremely accommodating and even though the whole shop was closed, I found him waiting for me to pick up my car before he went home for the day. I love supporting family-owned businesses, and Ken and Wendy are some of the sweetest and sincere people I've had the pleasure of trusting my car with. They are honest and efficient, which is really all I can expect from a mechanic. If you want quality service and love supporting small local businesses, definitely make an appointment here!

I phoned this shop in the afternoon looking for a smog check on my Subaru STI, they informed me that it was first come first serve. So I sped down to their shop and got it done. They told me it'll take 20 minutes so conveniently. there was a market next door, so I walked over to Chavez for some groceries and when I came back the car was ready for me to pick up! Service was quick and easy.

I've been going to this shop for a year now and I could not be happier. They really do know how to take care of you and your car. They got my 98 Civic working like a champ! All while making it look like million bucks! Just check the before and after pics! If I could give these guys a 10-star rating I'd give them 100. Definitely recommend getting your car fixed by them.

Ken is the man. I've taken my car here a few times and they remember me and my car even after a year from my last visit. I have an older 2001 Saturn car that needs maintenance. To date, I have had my brakes, rotors, spark plugs, serpentine belt, along with other major repairs and they've done a real good job. It is a bit pricey, but man is this place FAST. I take my car in and it's done in a day. Also, one of the few mechanics opened on the weekends. Highly recommend them.

Got a good amount of work done on my q45 from power steering leak,to belts & radiators done here & always a phenomenal job done. Plan to get brakes done here soon as well. A little pricey but worth it!

After taking my car to the dealership for an oil change and their free inspection, they said there was additional work needed on my front axle and it was going to be $1800. If I don t take care of it soon, it would be more. I decided to take it somewhere else for a 2nd opinion. I see that Hayward Auto was open on Sundays and read through the reviews, and luckily I stopped by. Ken called me and told me that I didn t need the work done and asked who told me that I needed this work done. I told him the dealership. I even had him double and triple check. Honest auto mechanic shop who is open on the weekends. I decided to get some other things done that had been lingering. Thank you Ken for your honesty. Really appreciate it thank you for being open on the weekends and doing a great job.Service: Auto brake replacement

Got an oil change and smog at the same time which for me saves time. They said 2 hours and it was 2 hours. The people were polite and efficient. Prices are up everywhere since the last time we got this done.

My family has been going to this place for years and we have always gotten great service and reasonable prices. The last time I went, I had all sorts of problems with the car. I wasn't sure how long it was going to take, so I told them that if they couldn't have it done the day of, I could bring it back another day because I needed the car again in the evening. However, Ken (the owner) assured me that they would have it done before the shop closed and even had two mechanics work on my car. It was amazing! I was very impressed with the service and the time they were able to get it done in. And they did it all for a very reasonable price. They did a wonderful job and I feel much safer now going on a road trip in a couple weeks!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Auto interior vacuuming, Battery, Oil change

I have 2 experiences here. Electrical Problem with 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. They diagnosed and serviced it for $80 when another auto service place on Industrial could not. Also, my wife's Lexus ES300's brakes were in bad shape. We got all 4 rotors and pads done with the brake lines flushed. Great service. Very nice and communicative. Will go again.Service: Electrical

Ken has been keeping my 2002 Civic on the road for over a decade. From oil changes and wheel alignments to CELs and valve jobs, he's the guy I trust. He'll lay out what you can wait to do as well, saving some dough here and there. Highly recommended.

Was calling to get a quote for front brake pad replacement, a simple job, $100 standard. I was quoted over $300 saying that they would machine the rotors, or replace if needed. When I responded saying that all I needed was the pad replacement, and how much just that service would be, they became very rude and almost hostile, saying "I am a mechanic, you are not, if I say you need something, then you need it!" which to me seems like a great way to over charge for unnecessary services. Not a good look guys. Recommend staying away. After looking through their reviews I'm not the first to have this experience.

Excellent service. I took my car in for a tune up and an issue with a noise in the rear end and got so much more. They gave me a real time frame that i would have my car back by, its hard to be without a car especially when you have kids so having the vehicle back when they said i would have it, was awesome. They cleaned the dirt and grime off the engine and made it look new plus it makes almost no sound just like new . I think even my a/c is working better after a visit here. They took great care of my car and I. The manager went out of his way to educate about my vehicle a bit more. The mechanic work speedily and got my car finished an hour ahead of schedule. I highly recommend them.

I've been taking my cars here for a few years and I've had good experiences with this auto shop, until this last time I took my truck in with the service 4wd light on. He told me he needed to service the 4wd and it's gonna cost $800.00 I said ok but when I got the truck back the light came back on so I got a second opinion and it was a sensor that needed to be replaced, which he didn't do for 800 dollars i confronted him and he had a list of things he said he did but he lied I'm filing a claim with the better business bureau we'll see what happens stay away from this place he's a crook

Honest, fast, friendly, affordable. We needed a battery replaced on a Sunday and they had it installed in about 10-15 minutes. Awesome people. Will definitely go back for future work on the car.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!!!! I was purchasing a used vehicle and took it here to have it looked over. He told me it was fine. After the purchase was complete the seller told me he did say something about an error code. I took it to another shop and it's a $3500 repair. I called and told him he told the seller one thing and me another and he was responsible. He proceeded to CUSS me out for 10 minutes.

Time will tell you everything!! A horrible store and unprofessional "technicians" brought discredit on themselves. Finally, I saw the truth after four years. HAC totally destroied my trust.Rude attitude toward costumer when I asked questions after they couldn't fix my car but charged me $735 ( $85 is for parts, more than $600 is for the labor), same problem happened on my car in one week. They gave me some illogical excuses and then just ignored me. The boss didn't show up in front of me again. I asked FORD DEALER for help and they said you shoud ask HAC why they charged you this much.If HAC see this review and reply it in a dishonest way, we will get to know how they treat their customer.Go HAC and save those poor guys pls!!!

This is a fantastic shop that goes out of its way to not only observe and identify what exactly is wrong with the car but will willingly show you what's wrong and what needs to be done to fix it.The prior garage I tried was quite the opposite; didn't go the extra steps in identifying issues, minimal conversation. Ken, on the other hand, clearly enjoys his work and making sure you understand what's being done.If you want a thorough job done on your car, this is the place.

Don t be fool.Expensive ( to just change rear brak pads this guys charging $320 ) and takes very long time to repair ( 4 hours) And useing cheap quality parts. so i refuse to give my car to himI advise find someone else near him. I did that job for $100 (parts + labor+ Tax) and original company brak pads in 45min only.A lot option you have around find someone else.

Go to this place only if you have more money. They asked me 1400$ for repair and diagnostic test 90$ which they charged from me. Luckily I took my car to another place in Hayward and they repaired it in $250 and now my car is running good. As a student, I would suggest big noooooo for this place.

I had an expensive repair need attention asap. They were very welcoming and accommodating on short notice. Explained the problem thoroughly and performed quality work. Very pleased and not to mention very nice people there too.

Oil change way over priced, I brought in my own oil and he charged me $67 for labor. Took in another car $89 for filter and 5.5qts of synthetic. I think I'll pass on this shop

A horrible placeWhile doing the oil change, I asked them to take look at the brake to see if If that needs to be changed. The guy said it would be $45 extra for just taking a look. What a scammer
