I have owned several Porsche models over the years and love the cars. Unfortunately when it comes to the service side of things the fees for most anything are outrageous. I could go into detail but it really doesn't matter. I can get things done elsewhere for half the price that Porsche charges and in many instances even a greater discount. I feel like every time I go in I'm getting advantage of.

Interfacing with the service rep, Michael, was informative, pleasant, and unpressured. They dove deep into assessing the key problems I wanted addressed as well as performed a 24 point inspection to ID the things I didn t realize needed attention. Checked in at the appointed time for service. No wait, valet was prompt. Went to the waiting area which resembles an airline lounge. Shop manager quickly confirmed the issue I had with the car. Michael Skulick makes owning a Porsche a truly great experience. Michael is in the service department and is absolutely the best! His attention to detail and communication makes taking your car in a wonderful experience. I cannot speak highly enough about Michael. Honestly I would buy a Porshe just to have Michael on my side. Had an amazing time at the Porsche Service Center in South Bay! Carlos was so friendly and provided exceptional customer service with his friendly demeanor and quick response to my inquiries. I had previously been to another Porsche service, but this one is the best. Not only did they take care of my car with great expertise, but they also made sure I was comfortable during the wait. Update after receiving car that they PPI'd. One tire was 57psi, others in the 30s. In what world does a premium Porsche certification inspection not check and equalize tire pressures? It even said that they were checked on the report.Original review:Leaves a lot to be desired from a PPI experience. On the positive front, they took the car in the next day. However thats where the goodness ends. They attempted to charge me $800 for a PPI.. this is double, maybe triple what anywhere else charges. They did not complete the PPI when promised and did not reach out to inform of the schedule. Interaction is via texts primarily and they aren't responsive. Results of the PPI were like pulling teeth, I struggled to get a hold of a competent technician who actually knew what he was talking about and wasn't a degree removed and just going by the book. They also promised to inspect suspect things and then ultimately did not. They do a "comprehensive test drive" which I learned is a 3 minute loop outside. A few parts were needed and getting a good perspective with parts breakdowns and labor / paint services was impossible and never provided, although they were happy to attempt to try to sell me some indeterminate solution for $3,700 through an automated form that provides zero information. Huge disconnect in this respect. Had to call probably six times to get anything truly useful. Also when calling their main line, you're routed to an offshore call center so it's hard to get through to the local shop. Now I am sure that their mechanics/technicians are super qualified and know their stuff better than anyone, but the service experience wraparound was comically inadequate and caused me great hassle and frustration. I have dealt with three other Porsche factory locations and never had an experience this disjointed let alone faced price inflation like this place attempted, and with services promised that were not completed. I would begrudgingly use them again if I had to but would prepare better, and only engage if I determined ahead of time that I had a competent and invested service advisor middleman who knew his stuff, would give me access to the actual tech that worked on the car, and who would be forthcoming and price things fairly.

Updating my previous review as the level of service was much better when I took my car back for the same issue. Paul was very responsive when I asked for a status of my car. He also made sure it was charged at pick up. I advise working with him if you have a random clicking noise in your car. Hopefully it won't return again!

South Bay Porsche is very professional, and gave great service. Performed an AC upgrade plus a couple minor recalls on my Macan, and gave it a nice wash afterwards, all at no charge. Hands down Carlos Lazo is awesome! He s the best service advisor in my book. He helped me sort things out with my car problems in a very personal, down to earth approach. My wife asked to wait for the service. She was there for 3 hours and 20 mins.! Not a happy experience this time. It is important to let a customer know how long the service will take. You have the service records so this should not be difficult for a routine service. Wasting several hours is not acceptable. You can and have done better for us in the past. I purchased my car at this dealership specifically, because of their reputation for great service, both sales and car services. This was my first 10,000 mile service and they were amazing. Chris, was very friendly and professional. He went over the details of my service, I was in and out quickly, I didn t have to wait. My appointment was later in the day, originally I was told my car would be ready the following morning, but Chris was able to have my car worked on sooner and ready the same day. They had a loaner car for me to use if needed, or a ride home. I would highly recommend their service department, especially if you live in the area.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change
