We just stayed here the last two days and had to cut our trip short because the National park is basically closed. That has no reflection on how amazing this place was. The managers Scott and Employee Dave were very helpful and attentive. The park is quiet and clean with well manicured grounds. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, and the park had a bunch of normal people with families there: I m an avid RV er and this is one of the best parks I ve stayed at.Only critique would be some of the extra king spots in the back they stick two rigs in. Besides that this place is absolutely worth the stay

New KOA, right near Hat Creek, about 20 min from the town of Burney and Lassen park.Pros: Beautiful location in the redwoods, small pond, pretty quiet except for sporadic road noise. Staff are amazing and super friendly. If you love the outdoors, this is a great KOA. Great rec room with a pool table and ping pong.Cons: Very limited activities, no pool, no playground for the kids. Laundry room wasn't setup while I was here. No cell service, like zero. No wifi except at the store/office.If you want a resort feel with activities, this isn't it. If you want beauty, quiet and seclusion, it is.

1st time here. Friendly staff, grounds are well kept, bathrooms was amazingly clean. No issues with the full hookups. My wife already wants to go back. Also, free coffee in the morning at the camp store, can t beat that!Nearby activities: 20 min to Burney falls and lava caves. Near the famous Hat Creek for fishing.

NO CELL SERVICE! Otherwise, this place was perfect. (WiFi only at the general store)The camp grounds are surrounded by lush mature trees and the best staff. Everyone was very helpful. There are so many sights to see near here. A walk through lava tube, countless waterfalls. All only 5-20 min away. On the campgrounds, they have a game room, tether ball, and a few animals in a small petting zoo. Cabin rentals, tent spaces, and RV spots means this place has a place for you!Nearby activities: Hike to several waterfalls. Hike into a lava tube from the Lassen Volcanic eruption from the 1800s.Noteworthy details: No cell service within 50 miles. No games, no internet. Wifi is offered only at the general store. Small town has a little bit of service to make calls

Stayed for the weekend. It was a decent campground but the bathrooms weren t clean, the pond wasn t worth fishing in. And the last night there someone stole my sons $400 bike from in front of our trailer. Everyone kept their bike, bbqs, etc outside their trailers so I didn t think I d have to worry about it. I mention it to the person in the office to see if there s cameras (which there aren t) and all he says is it happens . Didn t seem too concerned.

Very nice! They have a lot of pond side sites but they are not stacked in super tight. Great staff, Danny went above and beyond moving us to the perfect site at check in. Played some ping pong and air hockey in the game room. I will definitely be returning.Made it back for a second stay and thoroughly enjoyed it again. There is a lot to see in the area if you are into geological features. Which makes this location so good.Nearby activities: Lassen Volcanic National Park, Burney Falls, Subway Cave, Butte Lake

We used this KOA to dump our tanks since the campground we were at had no dump station. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The campground looked nice and clean. Considering a stay there when we are back in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at this KOA. Scott was friendly and helpful. The sites are big rig friendly. It s peaceful and clean. Our starlink worked great in the site we were in. It is in close proximity to lots of hiking. Definitely would stay here again!

I want to give this campground 5 stars, but I can't. It's just not there yet. 3 is the best I can do. On the plus side, super friendly staff - fantastic to work with!!! Let us check in early, was helpful with guests and just nice people. I love that they escort to sites - no rookies taking out my rig. And finally, they have more than 1 dog run!!! Yay!! But they lost me with a couple of things - I reserved a "patio site" and no patio. Yes, it's a little wider than the others, but also right by the office & check-in so lots of traffic. Second, no wi-fi. In an area with NO cell reception, that doesn't seem reasonable. Next, wood fires. People just don't know how to build them and then the rest of us have to suffer. Finally, on our final night, they let a group with a utility trailer park next to our "premium" site and then they set up essentially a tent space. I didn't by an RV to deal with tent camping.

This was a great place to camp. It wasn't super busy while we were there. We went on walks in the morning and it was beautiful. We came across a deer sitting in the sun. The full hookup was great with nice views. They have recently changed over to a KOA and are working on things for the better. The bathroom and showers were updated and nice, with hot water. The two guys working there (Danny & Scott) were very nice and accommodating. They always checked on us and made sure we were comfortable. They gave us directions, things to see and what to enjoy. Overall this place was great and I want to come back in the next year.

Great campsite for RV's with kids on scooters and bikes. Also, there's a rec room and other outdoor activities to do there. The management is friendly, and they kind of feel like family here. They also have breakfast and dinner available to buy if you don't feel like cooking. The RV spots are not too squished together and there is a view of their little lake at pretty much any of the RV sites.Disc golf baskets were set up by them on the weekend we stayed. We had fun with the management helping them set them up because my son plays Disc golf and had some tips in basket placements. :)The campground is about 20 minutes to Burney Falls, and 5 minutes to Hat Creek "chill spots".We'll most likely stay again.

Hearing the wolves howling in the distance was the coolest and scariest sound. All was safe at the KOA though. We camped and had more than enough space since each spot had double the space for tents to be placed. We had electricity and water hookups that were for each site separately. The store had basic camping needs and firewood for sale.It was a beautiful spot with its own small lake in the center of camp.Any deficiencies were made up with its very large bathroom, enough shelf space to use, hot water and large showers. Everything was clean, restocked and easily accessible on the site. The hosts were friendly and willing to answer any questions. Even with neighbors camping next to us, it felt like we had plenty of space between sites and still had some semblance of privacy. It was a beautiful site in the middle of the forest off the main road which made taking trips to visit the Volcanic National Park and Burney Falls easy to visit with a central camping location.

Positives: great location if you are visiting Lassen Volcanic area. The employees were great and on weekends they have a restaurant. Our family had dinner here (the burritos were great!) and it was really nice to have that at the campgrounds.Negatives: we stayed in a cabin while here (we stayed in one way in the back that doesn t look anything like the cabins in the front.) The cabin had a shower and bathroom, but when we woke up in the morning the whole outside area of our cabin wreaked of sewage. The other part that was a bit disappointing is there was not much for our son to do. We pick KOAs when we travel because there is usually things for him to do such as a playground, swings, a pool, etc. There wasn t anything for a toddler to do here. That said, it looks like they are planning in turning their pond into a fishing pond, which would be a great activity.Overall, this campsite isn t awful, but it needs some work to match typical KOA standards.

Nice area and nice facility but the description on the website does not match what is actually there. Got a vacation rental cabin, which is extremely small, and advertised as having a full bath with tub and an additional futon /couch with a full bed on top of the bunk beds and queen size. Queen size. The cabin does not have either the tub or the full size bed, which were things we were specifically looking for.Even the confirmation email had two different descriptions as to what the amenities actually were. The staff did try and make it right, but accurate descriptions would have alleviated the issue before there was an issue. Updating things like no tub, no futon or pulled out bed, and no cooktop or gas grill will alleviate a lot of issues going forward.Overall, not what I expect from a KOA, and I know they're a new one so they have time and space to grow. I won't be getting a cabin again, but I'm not opposed to their RV or tent camping spots.

Clean, well managed campground. Bathrooms are recently remodeled and there is a charming lake with local birds in the middle of the campground. This is surrounded by forest and most sites seem to have mature trees and be flat. Wifi isn't great but was passable and the woman at the counter told us that right away. Well stocked camp store. Well situated.

This is a must see if you are in the area. The hike is easy, with a paved trail all the way down. The hard part is going back up... but it's still not too bad and relatively short. If you want to get close to the water you will need to climb around some large rocks. Wear good shoes. We enjoyed the cool air near the falls while it was 100 degrees around the Burney area.

First time at this KOA and loved it. The grounds are well kept, bathrooms very clean with larger than normal shower stalls. Wifi is spotty, best reception closest to main building. Would definitely recommend to others. 30 minute drive to the falls.

Close to Burney Falls State Park and Subway Lava tube. Nice RV park with a pond, a few cabins and a General Store and Restaurant. Common restrooms and showers were very clean and well kept. The employees here are great, they are very helpful and informative. They are also great with kids!

Did not stay at site. I am a local my family and I stopped in to see if they were still serving food as there has been a changing of hands. We have gone here for years, me since I was a child. My husband went in to inquire and say hello introduce himself and meet the new owner, because this used to be the kind of place we re you could come in and say hello and talk and share past memories, he was immediately told that Bizz is no longer there (as if we didn t know that) was also told that if he set foot onto that property again he would get something you can read into that what you will. Now does our not going here effect them nope probably not at all. But for a business owner to treat a c person who was simply trying to ask a question and say hi that way is unacceptable. Followed him out of the store right behind his hills. So as a local and as someone who s family has been in this area for almost 200 years I will be telling everyone to stay far away from this place. Go to see if they were still serving food/ dinner with our kids as we have done before many times, probably even buy something from the store because our son loves that store, and basically get chased out and told we are not welcome. Firmly noted.

We love camping here. The park has full hook ups, clean showers, heated bathrooms, and a great store. Rhonda is wonderful and the pies and cookies are amazing! We come 1-2 times a year and love riding dirt bikes, side by sides, or other toys out into the land from there or taking the little kids to the 2 tracks to ride their dirt bikes. So much fun and so many memories. Don't forget that Burney Falls isn't too far away. Thank you Rhonda and team!!!

Nice place. Kind of rude experience after we left. The lady called me about a half hour after checkout to talk down to me like a kid for leaving a sweeping job. Wasn't aware that that was a big deal. I cleaned everything else up. Was very courteous and polite towards her the entire visit and for that got, not a single inch of understanding back. Not happy about the disrespect. Also, limited wifi. Says there's supposed to be and it's open but the router doesn't have the capacity to let everyone connect.
