I'm not happy with this place at all!!! I got here at 11:00 am they told me that it will be up to 1:00 to 2 hours for 4 new tires to by and install. it's 4:55 p.m. and they keep giving me the run-around. I talk to Service Manager Darnell Thomas and he was rude and very unprofessional. This Pep Boys need a NEW MANAGER ASAP. I also asked them if they have a number where I can put a complaint for this company and they say no. if you guys don't want to deal with headaches don't take your car there!

Excellent service. Darnell was truly exceptional and genuine with helping me out today. Long story short, my alternator stopped working and I wasn t able to start my car. Saturday afternoon, stranded in a town I am not familiar with. I called 4 other places and they all said I won t be able to have my car ready until Monday. I call Pep Boys, 8 miles away from where I am at, and Darnell picks up right away. And what seemed impossible to do in one day, he told me to bring it in no problem, and was quick in offering me assistance over the phone. Not to mention, how amazing his personality is and the professionalism. If you re looking for someone who is not only willing to repair your car but also make your day 1000x better. You have to go here. Darnell, you re the man! I appreciate you for everything today.

I changed my BMW x3 with my own engine oil and the filter. I changed the brake fluid too. It was great service. The mechanic was kind, professional, and detailed. I recommend it here.

I'm going to start my review with a lot of regret.I do not recommend anyone to service this store.First, there is no one responsible. It's a general mess.I went to have my car aligned on Sunday 07/23 and arrived at 12:18 pm to request the repair.I was told that I could only do it at 3:30pm. It was an emergency, I ended up accepting it! I was waiting 2 hours at the store and called my wife to pick me up, at 3:15pm they called me saying it was ready.The worst was not the delay! because he told me the time, I was impressed that the 3 employees went to lunch at the same time and took 2 hours to return.I'll put a photo of the empty workshop.I thought it was disrespectful!!!!! 3 employees going to lunch together! But the worst is yet to come!! The steering wheel of my car is very misaligned. (photo)I don't know how it works here in America, because I'm Brazilian and there they line up by the steering wheel.The store is rubbish !!! Bad service !!!U$100.00 thrown away !!! As soon as I return from the trip, I will go back to the store to redo the service.The email they send asking for your suggestion does not accept 1 or 2 stars, only from 3 stars.Rafael Ribeiro.

Customer service skills is garbage . Called on the phone to ask what services they provided Darrell, who answered the phone, just kept talking to someone in the background. I asked if they were ASE certified they seem to not even know what that is then they kind of became very aggressive and stated they ve been open for 100 years. It was just an odd conversation. Overall I would not go here and always remember to ask if someone is ASE certified When getting work done on your car some reason they just do not know how to communicate here I still can t believe the customer service I received

Had my car aligned and ended up with my steering wheel not straight at all.Darrel is the worst person with customer service.I had an appointment at 4, showed up and was told they couldn t do it that day. Calls me an hour later telling em to come in if I want it done. By the time they finished they had closed and when I took my car back, 1 minutes after driving out of the parking lot, they told me to come back in the morning and that s what the warranty is for . Also wouldn t tell me if they were a franchise, and wouldn t give me the managers name.This guy was horrible to work with from the second I walked in. I expect a refund when I came in tomorrow

So fast and efficient! I d really like to say thank you to Darnell and Johnathan for being so kind. Sometimes people try to pull a fast one on me at auto places because i m a girl but they were very polite and kind and answered all my questions. Thank you!

Came to ask if they took old coolant. Waited in the front lobby for 10 minutes no help. Went outside asked a guy that was on his cell phone. He said no and just looked back at his cell phone. Some guidance or hey not here but try this place approach would've gone a long way.

Poor service!! Front brakes were replaced and bolt is missing in front left tire. It s not drivable and back rim is missing lugnut. I filed a claim with customer service and without a truck for these trucks days due to their poor work and lack of communication!!

Has been hit or miss for me with the Pep Boys, this location is well schooled and didn't cost a small fortune. They went above and beyond to make sure we had the correct parts (even though they cost me less). Was able to fix my car and it ran better after the repairs. Update March, 2021:: The service team is still as knowledgeable and friendly! This store is gigantic and has everything you might need. Highly recommend this auto repair shop in Harbor City.

So, the incompetence of mechanics dives to another level here. First time i came to replace all 4 tires and it took over 2hrs, but ok, i can wait.Next time i came to replace one tire after damage and change coolant. Guess what? They placed tire in a wrong direction, so clever not to read "outside" label on a tire side)Also after coolant change, my engine started to overheating, a/c stoped to work properly, hopefully u didn't drive much and came back to fix that. And now after almost 4 hours passed from initial appointment time I'm still waiting while someone will start fixing my car.I'm glad that they refused to change brake fluid, probably I'd be died already.Mechanics proficiency: 2/10Neglecting of customer: 10/10Cozy waiting zone: 0/0

Overpriced work and cheap parts. Get your vehicle serviced at another shop. Avoid Pep Boys unless you are trying to get scammed. Took my car in to get serviced and got it back the same day. After a few days car kept making noise. Took the car back several days later to get that checked out and I get told everything was okay and they couldn t replicate the noise. As soon as I drive off guess what I hear the noise.

Came in today hoping to get a diagnostic on my car and Darnell was of such great help he helped me thru the whole process and explained everything to me he went above and beyond not to mention he has amazing customer service thank you again I will definitely be back !

The customer service was great from Darnell. He explained a lot to me and made me feel comfortable with my car being serviced here. The technician Glennton was very pleasant he confirmed that he put 7 quarts of oil in my vehicle and checked everything on my vehicle very thoroughly. I will be back because the price of my oil change was so much less than other places and their store had key fob batteries for cheap too.

They did a excellent job they checked all my tires to see if I had any nails in them and one tire had a nail in it so I had to buy a new tire but they explained everything they check the air in my tires and I really appreciate them taking me in so fast. They check to see if my tires needed to be rotated and they didn t. Manager was very very nice when I came in and took good care of me I appreciate these guys so much. Went to the Pep Boys on PCH and they did an excellent job.

I had a tough first experience regarding wait time, but after getting in contact with pep boys and Darnell, pep boys took care of me and ultimately I'm saving a lot of money having gone to pep boys. 3 month warranty assures if anything happens to the car or if pep boys makes an error, it will be corrected for free. Make an appointment over the phone and save yourself a lot of time. I will be coming back for my wheel alignment needs.

Should have checked the reviews first. On line is half the price. Also this was supposed to be a 2 hour wait for tires and a alignment. I'm here 4 hours later and no vehicle. I ha e children to pick up and service is not what ud expect. They couldn't even line up tires in the back of the truck. They tried stacking them

Came in for a leak in my tire. Darnell and his crew took me in and made me feel like their priority even with all the work they were juggling. Asked the mechanics a question and they showed me what was wrong with my tire. Perfect service. Will definitely be coming back. We need more shops like this.

I have gotten two tires at different times from this place and the tires have ripped withing the first three months of usage (same Pep Boys tires). Pictures shows both tires. Price and service isn't great either. I prefer going to America's tire, better service and quality of tires.

They were very friendly, were able to inspect my vehicle right away. Did not seem knowledgeable of my issue with the facts given. They did not have the tool needed to remove my tires, wanted to break my wheel locks and charge me for it. Misdiagnosed the issue with my breaks.. Left and went to a local mechanic who identified the problem with the details given, problem solved elsewhere.

Today we took a car in for a bolt in the tire. The whole staff was extremely courteous and attentive. That speaks volumes and goes a long way. Customer service is everything especially when someone is worried about their automobile. Completely appreciate the staff at this particular location. Thank you!

Has to be the most inept staff on the planet. Literally ONE CAR in the bay, not an employee in sight and these clowns tell me it'll be more than 2 hours before they can even "touch" the car for the inspection and then maybe another hour to do the oil change . Entire staff should be punched in the face and then fired
