I replaced the LS7 Heads from my C6Z06 using their core return service. The heads were packaged super well, arrived without a scratch and have performed flawlessly so far. Kohle was very responsive to my emails and provided great service after the sale.

By a long shot the best customer service I ever received from a company. Kohle answered every single email with not only a response but an explanation. He gave my concerns his time and attention. I will be a returning customer and will recommend his company. Parts showed up well packaged and worked great. Was missing an item as my order was large and after a quick email that part was just about over nighted to me. Appreciate all the work and time from this place. Highly recommend.

Can t speak highly enough of Kohle and his team. The best customer service in the game. They went above and beyond in helping me with figuring out what heads and cam would be the best fit for me. Then when I received the parts, the quality was outstanding.

They seem like good guys and I've known them for years, but frankly I can't recommend them anymore as it's taken them YEARS to nearly finish my car. They broke a cylinder head, and it took over 2 years to get a replacment to finish my engine build, and there were always excuses as to why it wasn't getting worked on. Now the car is supposedly "mostly done" and I can't even get a date or dollar amount to pick it up. If you want to keep your car, I'd go somewhere else.Update after Kohle's response: appreciate you finally giving me my car back but your comment is at best 25% accurate. I helped consult on ways to grow the business, lent you tools and helped setup distributor accounts. I was patient for several years and didn't want to push you to rush the as business grew, but you know damn well I kept in touch regularly. I have all the emails, texts & communication records to prove that (including all the messages I sent that you never replied to for months each time). Also, you very well know your machinist broke one of the new heads I purchased for the custom new engine build (which was paid for in advance) and it took you 2- 3 years to replace the head to even finish the long block. Once we finally got the head resolved & agreed to wrap it up to get the car out I informed you several times to give me a $$ you were comfortable with or give me estimates for any "extra work" that I would owe you for. Never ever was any new estimate provided... I even said a few times to just "give me the car back and I'd finish it myself", but you wanted to honor your original decision & finish it to protect us both to make sure the engine "worked". Fast forward several YEARS later, and many dozens of ignored texts & messages and here we are (oh and BTW the car still doesn't run). Not to mention I'm missing the return of approx $15k of parts, including things like the complete original LS7 engine, Corsa mufflers, Katech carbon undertray, fender liner, stock hood, driveshaft, lost key, new T&D shaft rockers, Holley valve covers, ZR1 injectors, and possibly more as I'm still going through what's "not on" the car. After several years of delays, regardless of how you feel you know darned well you can't put this on me!

Turned my car into a beast with a .665 lift cam in a streetcar. The heads, intake manifold, cam and everything else involved for my build from AHP were the highest quality. Even from across the country, Kohle was responsive and helpful with overcoming any challenges we faced building the car. Couldn t be happier with the setup, and could not recommend AHP enough.

I just wanted to share this with fans of the LS7 engine. I have been running a set of refurbished LS7 heads from AHP with the MoldStar 90 valve guides for just over 20,000 miles over a 3 year period. Tearing down engine top to do another cam upgrade and change valve springs allowed me to do a proper detailed inspection of my valve guides for wear. Wear is non existent, with less than 0.001" radial play measured with Starret dial indicator. This is nothing short of amazing and I am a believer in AHP and their application of the MS 90 valve guides. Thanks Kohle, for awesome service, products and a great friend to the LS community.

I googled Corvette Performance near me and chose American Heritage Performance, the place for its good reviews. I am glad I chose them, quick friendly service and upfront immediately about the price of the work. The mechanics are very highly skilled and very patient It was a fantastic experience! Even though we encountered a hiccup due parts supplies from other venders, the job was completed in a timely and professional manner. The AHP team is polite and friendly they offer everything and have Dyno & Tuning on site. They gave me advice about future car upgrades and maintenance. This experience is what I call money well spent! I will be back soon for more upgrades.

After a ton of research, and a bunch of e-mails with Kohle, I purchased the AHP Package 4 LS7 cylinder heads, Cylinder head install kit, and Halltech intake for my Z06. Kohle took the time to answer all of my questions and explain his reasoning. The customer service is unbeatable! The parts arrived on time, and were packaged very well. Install was straight forward and I have been very happy with the results. Kohle was fantastic to work with and all products were better than I could have expected. Plan on using them again in the future for more part orders!

Kohle and the team got me in and out, installing my cat back exhaust on my C8. Super friendly team there, super professional and have the personal touch! Looking forward to bringing my beauty back there for more work!More Work: Took my C8 in for headers + ceramic coating, high flow cats, intake, intake manifold, throttle body, lowering springs, spacers, wing install. Lots of work. We ran in to some issues with the throttle body, and Kohle and the guys coordinated sending that back to get fixed/replaced, and it went fantastic. The quality of the build, everything to torque spec. It feels like a new car, and I could NOT be happier with the service I experienced. This is the only shop I will take my C8 to. If you want modifications done right the first time, look no further! Thanks a ton guys!!

I've procrastinated on this review for too long.Simply put, I couldn't have asked for a better experience when dealing with American Heritage Performance. From my first inquiries with Jake, I could tell that I was dealing with a team that was professional, communicative, and willing to help decide what was best for my needs. I ended up getting the most basic package offered with AHP's package 4 cylinder heads, and made the drive out from Las Vegas to Harbor City.Upon arrival the team was very welcoming and took the time to explain the process for replacing the heads and even showed me around the entire shop and some of the cool projects that they were working on, which was an awesome touch. After a ONE DAY turnaround, my car's heads were replaced and it was lowered as I had requested. On top of that, Jake and the owner offered to throw in some gear for me as a sign of their appreciation: a hat, t shirt, and key chain tag, that I wear almost every day. I was floored, and am extremely proud to rep their company. While researching valvetrain solutions for my C6z I decided to go with AHP because I had heard that they were the best--from parts to customer service--and I can testify that this is 100% true. Class acts through and through, if you're on the West coast, or have the acumen to do it yourself, I highly recommend doing business with American Heritage Performance.EDIT: After 3 months of driving my car (including hard driving), I haven't had so much as a hiccup with the engine. Thank you Jake and team for allowing me to enjoy my car with peace of mind.

For those reading this review you probably got here by researching LS7 Heads. As I did. I looked at many "Big Name" companies to fix my LS7 heads for 2009 z06. After doing my homework I ended up with AHP for my answer. And guess what I got a 100!!!! That is right folks Kohle the owner of AHP is who I communicated with from start to finish. Answered so many questions I had I lost count. Was always quick and courteous. Best Part for last my heads arrived in a timely manner and the port work on these where flawless. Smooth as GLASS nearly. I cant wait to get the car on the dyno and see what these added and I now have PEACE of mind I wont drop a valve while watching my Z06 turn 7k rpms on the Dyno.AHP your z06 Heads you wont be disappointing in the product or the Service!

Kohle, Jake, and shop guys provide you an excellent service for your C6 Z06 Corvette! I installed CHC ported LS7 Package 4 heads with Moldstar90 valve guides & CHE rocker arm, along with 116 AHP Camshaft kit. Now it pulls 100 more ponies with much more bottom end torque! So far no drivability issue and surprisingly feel smoother than stock with their dyno tune. This is the place to go to fix your LS7 heads and add some extra horsepower!

I bought my c6 z06 to enjoy driving it but after I became aware of the valve guide issue I had to get that fixed. After talking with several of the LS7 head rebuilders, Kohle impressed me with his knowledge of this motor, it's weaknesses, and the fixes. I was able to purchase heads at the lowest possible expense, I didn't need any of the optional performance upgrades because the car is fast enough for me, and the swap process was easy, fast, and the heads worked great. I highly recommend these folks.

My boss took his Corvette C8 in here and they did a magnificent job! The owner was fantastic. They were incredibly efficient and knowledgable. For someone who doesn't trust many people with his precious car, my boss could not speak more highly of this shop! He is super happy with the service, as well as the work he had done. Thank you guys!

I had the pleasure of receiving my completed cylinder heads from Kohle and his Staff in 2017. The workmanship was stunning and the heads would have been framed and mounted on my wall if they weren't needed in my 2009 Z06 ! I have driven the car about 8,000 miles since and have enjoyed every minute...the difference in the sound of the engine at idle, compared to the stock "sewing machine," is much more appropriate for a 505 hp work of art....or should I say, the absence of sound.I was very pleased to be able to call to ask questions and was never "on hold". I opted for the C.H.E. rebuild of my rocker arms as well. Great service, great communication and a very fair price, even taking into consideration that I had to ship the heads from Rochester, NY. Those of you in the far west, make the pilgrimage to AHP in Harbor City, CA !!! THANKS AGAIN, Kohle !!!

I bought Package 4 Heads with MS90 guides. They were installed in my 2007 Z06 by American Heritage Performance (AHP). I bought them in Fall 2016 for just under $4,000, and in Fall 2018, my engine blew up during my second track day. This resulted in over $15,000 in damages. In trying to determine the root cause, I contacted AHP, among other shops and dealerships. AHP was over 100 miles away, and I would have had to pay for towing there, so I opted for a local shop. They diagnosed the issue to be a rocker arm breaking and an intake valve breaking. After tearing down the heads further, other intake valves showed extreme wear. At this point, I started to wonder if AHP's heads may have been the culprit. I sent AHP a picture of an intake valve that was showing extreme wear and cracks (which is attached to this review), and that's when I got radio silence from them; they never responded to that email.I would have expected AHP to say that it could have potentially been their heads, and as such, offer to help make things right. Instead, the lack of customer service (to the point of being ignored) left me with no recourse. In an attempt to raise awareness about AHP, I explained what happened on a car forum on the Internet where many people are exposed to AHP. AHP saw my post and responded by completely disrespecting my privacy; they pasted screenshots of my emails--some of which were irrelevant--but the emails contained personal information like my full name and email address, which I consider personal. They wouldn't take my personal information down when I asked them privately, and they only did so after I reported the post to the forum moderators. At the end of the day, I realize that even though the signs pointed to AHP's heads failing, they may not have been at fault, but I was not treated professionally or offered any compromise (for example, that they waive some diagnosis fees if they determined it was their heads failing if I were to send the car to them).EDIT in response to AHP: January 1st, 2021I am posting 2+ years later because this issue still exists in AHP s heads. Proof of that is a post called "Cracks in intake valve ls7" on the Corvette forums, which was posted in December 2020. I am not allowed to put URLs in reviews, so that is how you can find it.That poster s intake valves show the same wear and cracks that mine had, so this still needs awareness.AHP is being dishonest about concluding that their heads were not at fault. I do not know why they stated that in their response. A broken intake valve can indeed cause engine failure.AHP never responded specifically to the email that had my worn intake valve in it, like my original review says. They never addressed the intake-valve wear and cracks, ultimately refusing to take responsibility for it.I never bashed AHP in my original thread 2+ years ago. I will quote AHP s forum post about my communication with them: I will say the communication between the OP [myself] and our shop was not negative in any way and that the OP remained professional throughout his contact with us. I think there were other issues (location issues, storage issues, cost issues, time frame issues, etc...) that lead the OP to decline our offers. This quote can be found on the Corvette forums, which is contained in my original thread from 2+ years ago. It is post# 134 in a thread called "[Z06] Low mile C6 Z06 engine blown up"At the bottom of that post, you will see Last edited . If the date shown there is later than 01-23-2019, then AHP has edited the post since my quote above. My response to that post from AHP can be found in that same thread in post# 136.So yes, 2+ years later, AHP never fixed this issue with their heads. The Corvette community deserves to know the risks they are taking when using AHP s heads because intake-valve wear still happens to this day.

I brought my C5 Z06 to the AHP team days after I bought it. It was in rough shape and needed lots of maintenance TLC. These guys brought it to life. Excellent work, and communication. Even now, 1+ years later that I can wrench on my car, I can see and admire all the future proofing these guys did. Awesome shop. I highly recommend.

Updated 11/14/2017 Review:It's time to update my review on American Heritage Performance. Let's jump to the punch line since this review will be a tad long - these guys are simply the best.Kohle runs a top notch performance shop and has far exceeded every single one of my expectations. Before, during, and after the build, it has been the type of experience every shop should strive to provide for their customers. I seriously cannot thank AHP and his team enough.AHP re-built my custom LSX 454 motor and brought it back to life. I'm now well into 3,000 miles on the build and it has been absolutely amazing. It's exactly the type of experience you want when you spend this much on a car.The fact that Kohle was able to do this entire build in house is so important to me -- R&R the motor, assemble/disassemble the long and short block, and most importantly, all of the machine work is done at the shop. That's what really sold me on having Kohle do this -- a one stop shop with all the necessary equipment, machines and tools. He's one of the most anal, meticulous and knowledgeable people I've met. Quadruple checking all his work and clearances. That's really important when you are building a forged iron block monster that you want to last. And, it shows in the end product. To the story.About 2 years ago, I had another somewhat well-known shop (I won't name drop) build and install a brand new custom LSX 454 motor for my Corvette C6. Let's just say it did not go well. Long story short, I decided it was time to cut my losses with this other shop after a year of hell. I reached out to Kohle, explained my situation, we talked through pricing and options, and I towed my car to him the same week.Within a day of dropping the car off, Kohle had run through all the diagnostics and tests, presented me the facts and asked what I wanted him to do. I told him to tear apart my almost new motor with maybe 800 miles and let's hope it's just the piston rings. It was unfortunately much worse than we could have expected.Despite all the issues that Kohle continued to find in this build, he was very fair in pricing, very quick to order the new parts, and kept in constant communication with me throughout the whole process -- including pictures of the build. What car owner doesn't love seeing constant pictures of their baby?In the end, we had to replace all the bearings, bore the block, replace the pistons and rings, and then continue with all the typical honing of the block, polishing the crank, etc. As I said, much worse than just replacing piston rings. Oh, and the clutch was previously improperly installed so we had to send it off to McLeod to be rebuilt. Despite all the surprises, Kohle was on top of it and took care of me from beginning to end. And, as I said, was more than fair on the pricing. There was many things that he could have nickle and dimed me for, but he didn't. He's such a stand up guy that just wants to get the job done, and get it done right. So many shops could learn a thing or two from him. Here we are 3,000 miles later on this re-build with seriously zero issues on the motor. It's truly running flawlessly and made exactly what I wanted on the dyno.To this day, Kohle continues to provide amazing support and responses for all my questions many months after he finished. Thanks again to the team at American Heritage Performance for everything.Old 11/5/2016 Review:These guys are the real deal, one of if not the best Corvette shop on the west coast. Anything you need these guys can help out. You can tell this is not just a job for Kohle and his team, it's a passion. And that shows in his work. The amount of knowledge is incredible. Highly recommend for all your LSX needs.Kohle took care of me on some head work, manifold install and tuning on my old LS2 and again for some maintenance and transmission work with the LSX 454. He also helped diagnose an issue thats been plaguing me and that other shops couldn't figure out.

I used AHP to do my LS7 heads back in 2014 and got their stage 4 package since then I have used the car as intended with track days and drag passes and daily driving after all this time (8-9 years)and 18k kms later I wanted to get them checked out and freshened up and since AHP didn t offer CNC porting back in 2014 I wanted that done so I sent the heads back to them to make sure everything was in spec and Kohle messaged me couple days after they received my heads to say they were perfect no wear just the way I got them back in 2014 but I got him to put in new springs and seals while they were there and of course the CNC porting. I wouldn t use any other shop to fix my LS7 heads AHP is the best in the business I highly recommend them

First time c6z owner. They are very knowledgeable and helpful with helping me understand what to do with the LS7 engine to get the best reliability and performance. Very professional guys both Jake and Kohle. I got a whole tour and explanation of how everything was made and the work they do and all I can say is that I was like a kid in a candy shop. I dont have enough good things to say about this shop! If your debating about where to go to have work done on your car look no further. I Put over 3,000 miles so far on the build and have never thought once about being scared for the valves dropping. Thank you AHP cant wait to come back for some more power in the future. :)

I first reached out to American Heritage Performance because I found them on Corvette Forums. I wanted to get an estimate on what it would cost me to rebuild my heads due to the dreaded valve guide issue on my LS7.All my communication was performed via email with Kohle and he had set forth all the expectations and cost to perform the rebuild. During the back-and-forth process, there was no confusion on my end and he made everything very clear.Once I choose to go with AHP, I then chose the basic package and core exchange program. I got to meet Kohle and this man is awesome. He was super knowledgeable and gave me all kinds of history lessons. He even took the time to show me around his shop. It was super clean, and well taken care of. He left me with tons of confidence that the job would be done right. Now I m a few days in with the rebuilt heads and what a difference. I can now drive the vehicle with peace of mind. Thank you again for the wonderful customer service that you provided. I will be back for all future modifications or rebuilds.I highly recommend AHP for all your corvette needed.

I didn't go here for Corvette work but I had a question on an LS7 engine. First impressions walking up is a lot of Vettes in process and the shop is nice. Although my question was not close to a money maker, Jake there took the time to help and that was highly appreciated. Smaller shops can't really afford to answer questions all day because it cuts into precious time, so Jake's willingness to help was very nice. If you have a Corvette that needs work, take it here.

I had the great pleasure of having my LS7 Heads rebuilt by American Heritage Performance and I could not be happier. There is a known issue with the Chevrolet LS7 that has to do with the valve guides. In order to have this issue corrected I needed to have new guides, valves and seals installed, and since they were apart, I had them ported and milled. The quality of the work, and craftsmanship that was done to the heads assured me that I had gone to the right shop. When I received the heads back from them I was most impressed with the attention to detail. After installing the heads onto my LS7 I could tell immediately that my engine had more horsepower, and the noises that it was making prior to pulling the heads was gone. I know that my engine is going to run strong for many years to come, and I attribute that in part to the quality of workmanship that was done at American Heritage Performance. Thanks guys for correcting my valve guide issue, and I look forward to touring your shop one day when I can make it down there to Harbor City. If you are considering getting work done by American Heritage, be rest assured that you are making the right choice, you will not be disappointed.

I ordered the package 4 heads with the porting option for my 2006 Z06 Corvette and the cylinder head install kit. This was to fix the known exhaust valve/guide issue that potentially could cause a valve failure and destroy the engine. My mechanic was very impressed with the quality of the parts, everything he needed was included. The engine runs great, and I can feel the extra HP that comes from the porting option!

Bought the package 4 heads for my C6 Z06. AHP is really awesome to work with. Excellent quality heads.Car feels and runs better. Kohle was really cool and easy to work with. He answered all my questions on which packages he recommends for my specific needs. Will be coming back for more work. Made this an easy process for both parties. 100% recommend.

Not long after buying my Z06 I learned about the killer valve guide issues so I started doing some research about head upgrades. The general consensus was between Katech and AHP for a rebuilt upgraded head. I liked what I heard about the AHP heads so I decided to give them a shot. Boy did I make the right decision! Ordering parts from the USA when you re in Canada can be a bit of a hassle, getting bounced from customer service to shipping call centres where nobody *really* cares about you or your order. Not the case here. I was pleasantly surprised to be talking directly to the big boss when I went to pay, and he kept me in the loop the whole process of ordering and what he recommended for my setup. I felt like my business was truly appreciated, not just some numbers in an accountants records. Their customer service is top notch, and the products they sell are just as quality. If you have a Corvette and want to juice it up, look no further

Truly a great group of very knowledgeable guys. Had the Package 4 Cylinder Head Rework done on my LS7 heads through American Heritage Performance and they had a quick turnaround with great communication the entire time. They spent the time to answer each of my questions in great detail and sent my original heads back in like new condition, even after USPS damaged them during shipping. Special thanks to Jake for all his help. Great work, guys!
