Knowledgeable team, diagnosed and fixed my Lexus air vac leak. Price was a bit less than the dealer's quote to diagnose. The cause was a loose vacuum hose.

Great job! The smog test was simple to get done and right here in town! Price is comparable to places miles away and by the time you get to those less expensive places you probably spent more on gas. UPDATE(3/11/2024): Thank you Chinito for another job well done.Professional, courteous, honest, and excellent service value. As a good consumer, it's my job to find value services - this means service in return for the dollars I paid. I don't look for the lowest price as there are crooks with bait and switch. I do promote good services in the hope that this will encourage the owner to continue and grow. I brought my car here for service. I have the highest recommendation for this business. Hope Chinito will continue to do well. I don't know Chinito outside of the context of servicing my car. And I was not given any incentive to write this. (In fact, I acknowledged Chinito with a big gratuity for his good work.)

These guys have been my goto in Half Moon Bay for several years now. Always fast and pleasant. This go around they replaced both catalytic converters on a high mileage older Toyota 4Runner.Great job, fast and very reasonably priced. Never been happier!Services: Smog certification, Emissions testing

Nice people and fast. Great location right next to Main Street to shop around while waiting. They got me in the next day. Did not shop around for prices but it felt very fair for a smog. Easy in and out. Recommended to my family.

Had never used this place but the regular shop raised prices for a biennial smog test, so I gave them a try.I was having my check engine light (MIL) come on with an emissions related code. It had been a while since I reset it when I brought it in. Hadn t been long enough so it failed smog with reported code the same as I had seen. He didn t charge me full price I guess since there wasn t a certificate .He told me what to do and a week later the code had cleared and I was charged a minimal retest fee.Great service, took me early on the retest and gave great advice.Highly recommendServices: Smog certification, Emissions testing

I had HMB smog change my front brake pads and do an oil change today. They were able to get me in with a 2 day notice at the time I needed. Rongchi is the new owner and he has worked on the coast for a while and decided to open his own business. He is trustworthy and affordable. I got a quote for double at other places. I'm really happy to have HMB smog to go to for my auto servicing needs. Thank you so much.

When my car failed I was anxious about avoiding the problem Ivan describes below - a back and forth between repair shop and smog station. But, Chinito to the rescue.He diagnosed the problem, even showed me the broken part, then went on to make the repair so the car passed. These guys really are emissions experts. A great find! I needed to get my car smog checked before Jan 2nd. They were able to get it checked today and also fix my brake lights. Woohoo... Happy to support a local business. Will be using them for future car repairs instead of going over the hill. Thank you!!!!

Great service. Super convenient nighttime drop off. Snogged and tune up by noon the next day. Able to pick up my vehicle on my lunch break. Highly recommend.Update: Back again and same great service.

They are experts in emissions systems repairs. I drove back and forth between garages and the testing station trying to pass the smog test. Chinito is the man!! I have been taking my car to him when he worked at harloes. He is always honest and trust worthy. He is very knowledgeable on what he does. Whenever i have car trouble, he is my "go-to guy". I just took my car in for smog last week. Fast and painless!!
