I called late afternoon and got a call early the next morning. He was booked for the day but offered to smog my vehicle during his lunch hour if I needed it. I opted for the following day as I wasn't in a hurry. Davey is professional, competent and his prices are reasonable. He has an adorable terrier who greets the customers. So happy we have Davey and a smog shop on the coast. I highly recommend him.

I am so happy Daveys Smog was open on New Year's Day! I called last minute looking for an appointment, and since he was open, I was able to get my smog test out of the way and better yet, my car passed the test! Thank you so much for working when most places are closed. Customer service was great and test was done in less than half hour.

I had the best experience at Davey's Smog Shop. They got me in right away and were super efficient with my smog. I was excited to find out that they do all kinds of auto repair work and have moved into a full service auto shop. They also specialize in European cars! From the customer service/hospitality to the auto services they offer, it really can't be beat. Get your car there NOW!

OK this was hands down the best smog test experience I have ever had. I called up Wednesday but the guy had 24 cars booked in already, but I got a 10:30am slot on Saturday morning instead (I didn't think he'd be open on the weekend but he was). The shop is right there behind Ace hardware, so while my car was getting smogged I strolled down to New Leaf to get groceries. I'm thinking next time I might combine with getting a haircut at Todays, they're quick enough to get it done. You can probably save a few bucks going over the hill but TBH I don't think its worth it - my time is worth much more, and going to Davey's turned out to be super efficient. Also Davey himself is very cool - I'd never met him before but it turns out he grew up on our street in town, and has been fixing cars in Half Moon Bay for over ten years. Feels good supporting our local smog technician :-) Five stars, going to Davey's is a no-brainer.

So happy to have found Davey s on the coast. They were incredibly friendly and fit me in between jobs and even stayed after hours when Inwas in a pinch. Very reasonly priced and trustworthy. I look forward to coming here for all my automotive needs for years to come!

In the past I ve shopped around for my smog checks or randomly pick a gas station or shop to get it done. With Dave set an appointment, come in for your smog, and Dave will be ready for your vehicle. This is my spot for smog checks from here on out, no more shopping around. Great service!

Called Davey last minute to see if he had any openings. He was able to squeeze me in even tho I had an older truck that takes longer to smog. Fast and professional. I ll get all my smogs done there from here on out.

Saturday late afternoon had some trouble with my buddy's Jeep.Davy dropped what he was doing and tried to get him on the road.Turned out to to be a very complicated problem so we had to leave it.Davy went above and beyond in every way.Showed us his cost on parts and his minor Mark up said the cost would be x amount. It took him 5 times longer due to the complex problem he stuck with it till he got it and was 100% a stand up man!! His dad should be proud he honered his original estimate even though he lost money.We don't see many young men like him.You can have 100% confidence you will be treated fair at reasonable rates.Davy thanx buddy!!!!

They couldn't smog my old Volvo because it was flagged in the system, but a friendly bunch and the shop they referred me to was great.
