Came quicker than estimated.They billed my insurance directly.Driver knew what he was doing, and was very friendlypersonable on the ride to the tire shop.Couldn't ask for more.

I got my truck and horse trailer (with my horse on board) terribly stuck while trying to turn around on a road off Hwy 20. My horse was trapped in the trailer because the doors couldn t be opened. I was frantic and Gold Country Towing saved the day! Two men came (sorry I didn t get their names) and they were brilliant. Using 4 wood blocks and their own ingenuity they managed to get the truck and trailer out, facing the right direction, with no damage to either vehicle and no harm to my horse. I am so grateful!

Absolutely the BEST tow company in Nevada County and probably the greater foothills area. My husband and I own a Luxury European Auto repair shop and use this company exclusively for our customers and our own personal vehicles. Great family, great service and impeccable skill. Here they are transporting our custom SnapOn tool box to our new location. They can tow anything!!

My husband got a flat tire with our 5 year old in the car. Within 10 minutes they were already there which is nice considering having a small child. He was very friendly and helpful.

Helped us with a dead battery (couldn t reach the battery with my jumper cables because of how we were parked ~ go figure). Braughan arrived quickly, jumped it, and told us the best place for diagnostics. Was a stressful day, so VERY appreciative this one thing went right.

In the downpour today, I discovered that I had locked my keys in the car. My on-demand car insurance co was absolutely no help! Everything they wanted was in the car! Frustrated, I called Gold Country Towing and 5 minutes later, they arrived! The driver, standing in the deluge of rain, was professional, extremely nice, and got the job done with a smile! Gold Country Tow went above and beyond to help us get our car out of our semi steep driveway! We had already had our AAA contracted tow company come out and refuse to help us figure out how to get our car to the mechanic. Gold Country was at our home 15 minutes after our phone call to them. From the moment the phone was answered by Margaret, friendly and professional, I knew I'd found my tow company. My 19 foot travel trailer is newer and needed to be towed to storage before I'd had time to get tow equipment installed on my truck. Her husband and co-owner husband Fox, came promptly, used great care in hooking up, checked my tire air at my request, unhooked the battery at my request and off we went, SLOWLY: worst nightmare scenario I'd had was if I got a driver who just wanted a quick tow and did a fast drive, oh no, Fox said, "We're ready and lets go slow " YES ! Then, once arrived at the storage place, again, great care in backing into my assigned space and then unhooking.I 100% totally recommend this local, family owned, Nevada County business!

These guys are awesome! I called them early in the morning and they were there quicker then expected! Loaded my car fast and very professionally. I've called other tow services before and never had such an easy time like I did with gold country! Thanks gold country, And Steel for great servive! I know who I will be calling next time!

Gold Country Towing is the best! I had them tow an old motorhome that had been sitting in a friend's yard for many years. The driver was very patient in answering our questions about the best way to tow the vehicle. The driver took his time to make sure wheels, brakes, etc. were functional before we took it onto the road. It took longer to get the vehicle towed than they originally estimated but they did not ask for more money. I recommend them.

The guys here are great! Never had any tows from them til now when I had an unfortunate run in with local PD. In the end the outcome was my car being in the Gold Country Towing yard in impound. Never had a more friendly and helpful group of people show the understanding and positive initiative I would expect in a workplace, let alone someone they don't even know. They helped me out and worked with my financial issues I'm going through to come to a compromise that was good for all parties involved, and walked away hoping (not that I want to be impounded again) that next time I do get towed I hope it's these guys that really did my wife, 2 month old son and I a huge favor by letting us come to an alternative arrangement.Very professional, kind, compassionate and understanding team, would highly recommend for any and all of your towing/related needs.5

I cannot say enough about the kindness, warmth and exceptional service that we received from Broughan after our car lost it's brakes coming down from Emigrant Gap. After our roadside assistance warned us that the tow truck would not be able to transport our 18mos old daughter, I spent an agonizing hour on the phone trying to locate a taxi service to transport her and me separately from the vehicle. Thankfully, Brougham explained that his truck had a rear seat and could easily - and safely - transport our whole family. Moreover, he was the best company we could've asked for on the long ride home. THANK YOU!!!

Kinda strange giving a tow company 5 stars for towing my car but they are just doing their job... Aside from that all the people who were there to help me were all very pleasant and actually very understanding and compassionate, especially having to endure everyone's sob stories on a daily basis... I totally recommend them for any towing needs!! They made my experience as pleasant as possible! Thanks again guys!!

I recently locked my key fob in the car...as I was struggling in the driveway, trying to get the door to unlock, Fox of Gold Country Tow Service happened by me. He was kind enough to stop & ask if I needed help...he was like a tow truck angel! I am so grateful for his kindness & will not only use them for any towing services I may need in the future, I will tell anyone who will listen to use them, too!

These guys are great. My Ducati was towed by these guys, kind of a strange situation. I was able to get it back a few hours later because of their prompt service. They answered the phone every time I called and did a great job providing me the correct information to get my bike back ASAP! Thanks Gold Country Tow Service

This was the best tow experience i've had. From the very beginning Brogan was very professional and thorough about the problem. When he arrived he was genuine and helped to even find the lost keys. All the service was stellar and good informative conversation. Thank you!!!

This company is the best towing company in Grass Valley and Nevada City. All of the drivers are courteous and professional. They go the extra mile to make their customers comfortable. Prompt response. Would highly recommend Gold Country Tow whether you a flat tire or unexpected car trouble, this company is the only tow company you need to call!

I was contracted out to Fischer Towing by AAA and was told I was not going to have my car towed from Grass Valley to Sacramento that day. My car would be moved from one lot to another and it would sit in their lot for a few days until a driver became available. I opted out of this option and looked for another towing company that would get the job done. Gold Country Towing said they could tow my car that very night, which is what I needed. The driver was at my location in 15 minutes, loaded the car in less than 10 minutes and we were on the way. If you are looking for towing in the Grass Valley area, look no further, these guys do it best.

Let me just say this is the best towing company and experience I've ever had. I called AAA and they sent Fischer towing and they wouldnt go a couple hundred yards down a gravel road to pickup my Tacoma. Being frustrated with them and not knowing who to call I found Gold Country online. Fox the owner showed up in less than 45mins, didnt hesitate about the gravel road, took time to look at the engine, attempted to jump the vehicle, had a great chat, hooked up the truck and off he went. He even followed up with me after he dropped the truck at the Toyota dealership. I will never hesitate to call any other company in the future other than gold country.Service: Special vehicle towing

Had to have these guys out for our second car today. I simply cannot say enough how impressive this company s service is. I learned that is a family owned business and it speaks volumes of the family s character. Professional, fast, safe, affordable and much more. This is the only company I can recommend if you re looking for quick, reliable, and friendly service in our area.

They did come out bright and early to pick up my car To drop it at the auto repair shop. But when I went to pick up my car from the repair shop they asked me why I left my car sitting in the middle of the parking lot with the keys in it and the doors unlocked. WTH!? I explained that the tow truck driver had dropped it off and I didn't know what had happened. oops!

Definitely helpful, we had to have our truck towed and since it was an unexpected thing, they let us keep the truck there for a few days without any added charges. The tow truck driver was also very careful moving our only means of transportation.

The BEST. I was stuck in the hot sun during rush hour. They came, they conquered and saved the day with calm, cool grace. It is nice to be put at ease during a car breakdown. The driver was mannered, clean and polite. The truck was clean. The fees were what I expected - but the service was way better than expected. Excellent.
