I took my girlfriends 4runner in to Gold Country muffler to get the exhaust done. Her 4 runner has a body lift which created enough space for the exhaust to be routed above the frame. I explained what we were going for and Jon came out and discussed the merits of different places to hang it. I went with his suggestion and we couldnt be happier with the result. This place is great! I had a leaky exhaust system and needed to get home to Reno. I was able to get the car looked at within minutes of arriving. The owner said he would need a couple of hours to make the repair and suggested a restaurant within a short walk where I could eat while waiting. He called me in less than 90 minutes to say the car was ready, and he charged me 25% less than his initial quote. If you are in need of any sort of exhaust system repair, I highly recommend Gold Country Muffler.

Amazing work, nice welds and very nice and friendly. Ill be coming here for all my cars exhaust work from now on. And I don't let many people work on my cars

John found time in his very busy schedule to squeeze me in to get a new flowmaster super 10 welded up on my truck, he got it done fast with quality work. Jon was super nice and professional. I have been needing to get my 4Runner into a shop for nearly a year now. I have been stressing out about it, and putting it off. Finally I found some time to look for a place. This place was close to my work and had good reviews, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm really glad I did.Within minutes of walking in, Jon made me feel at ease with the work I needed done. I tried to explain what I needed, but I got it pretty wrong. He was completely understanding, and ended up doing an absolutely fabulous job.I've got a custom skid plate on the bottom, which he didn't even hesitate about. He gladly worked on it till the job was done, and charged me a very reasonable price. I couldn't be happier. While I hope I never need any other exhaust work done on any of my vehicles, if I do, I'm absolutely coming back here.

Had the cats replaced on our mercedes. Jon was able to source the parts quickly (especially considering national shipping delays.) and install them for a reasonable rate, and we only were down a vehicle for about 12 hours. I will come back if i need anything else done on other vehicles.

A previous owner of my truck had installed an exhaust system that was obnoxiously loud. It was hard to hold a conversation or enjoy music in the cab, especially with the windows down. After a year of driving the truck, I finally gave Jon a call and he took care of it right away. He got the parts in just a few days, and my truck was in and out of his shop in a matter of hours. The difference is night and day. I had to give him a call to let him know how happy I was with the work. Nice guy who clearly takes pride in his work.

I don't normally write a lot of reviews, but I was impressed at each step of the process. I took my Toyota Sequoia to another place who couldn't fix my Cat Converter for less that $2500. John not only fixed it, he did it for 1/3 the cost. He did it in a timely manner and was friendly and professional the entire time. He's earned my families business from now on. Thanks John!

I went to this muffler shop and respectfully asked to do a muffler on my car, just a quick resonator delete with a pipe ... Easy enough right? 30 - 45 minute job usually( ive had 20+ cars done like this)....but no sir he declined me stereotype he doesn't like "us ignorant kids" with straight pipes, is what he basically said to my face so I encourage everyone to not go here he is very disrespectful and doesnt care about his customers only "his kind".

I politely requested that he do a muffler delete on my 07 duramax diesel. A quick cut out and weld of a 3' pipe to bring down my EGTs since I do a lot of towing. It already had a MBRP racing exaust and is complient with all California emissions. He said "I don't do straight pipe however I wasn't asking him to do straight pipe. He was extremely disrespectful and very prejudice. Saying it would be to noisy however if he knew anything about his profession he would know that the DPF filter does a ton of noise reduction. And this was solely for performance increase while towing very heavy and large equipment. Respectfully I can't believe this guy is in the exasust business and knows nothing about diesel exaust. I would recommend that rather than take your car here go buy a welder and do it yourself.

I had him install some performance mufflers on my Outback. I wanted some noise but not too much. They sound pretty goog. I wish they were a little louder. His pricing seemed very fair for the mufflers. But it was an extra $200 for the extension piece that went to the middle of the car. That seemed a bit high for what it was but Im not unhappy. We'll see how much the tips will cost to put on and then it will be complete. He just needs to answer the phone now or call me back.?.?.? Update So its been a few months now and the mufflers are rusting already. He blamed Tahoe but they were rusting before I went there and I washed as soon as I got back as well. He also told me its totally normal and people have to hand scrub their mufflers to keep them clean of rust. Ahh hem!! Thats Bullsh**!! So anyway, I got a hold of the manufacturer and he told me they should never rust and hand cleaning is ridiculous and instantly sent me two new mufflers free of charge. Curious to see if John will install them for free or if this review is gonna turn very negative? He seems nice but this is buisiness and I feel like he pulled a slow one on me. Also, he still hasnt found me muffler tips!! Ive asked about them at least 5 times now. Got 5 excuses or more but still tipless. It looks rusty and incomplete. Not stoked!!
