It pains me to write a bad review, but I have to share my experience so that this doesn't happen again at Big Brand Tire.It was time my wife's vehicle needed an oil change, so I told her about this place. I also did an oil change for my vehicle for 25 dollars (I brought my own oil and oil filter), so I knew prices here were reasonable. After my oil change, the washer fluid that they said was topped off depleted the next day, but since the oil change was a bargain and the washer fluid doesn't cost much, I didn't think twice about it afterwards.My wife went to Big Brand and left a vehicle there for an oil change. I went to Big Brand to pick her up, and she told me that the oil change was 260 dollars (!!). I was so shocked and asked her what happened at the store. She asked for an oil change, and she didn't ask for any special service except what was free on the screen: tire rotation, brake check, and alignment check. This was how the conversation went verbatim:Staff: "I see that you checked services you wanted to receive online. So today you're getting an oil change, tire rotation, fluids topped off, brake check, and the alignment service, right?"Wife: "Yes, that's correct." (She checked only the free services that come with the oil change upon making her appointment and assumed that the staff was confirming her choices)What happened was that as the staff was going over the services she was getting, he secretly replaced the free "alignment check" with "alignment service," adding about 130 bucks extra on top of the oil change, without giving her the cost breakdown. The invoice she got at this point just said $105 for parts and $125 for nontax. Her vehicle had no visible alignment issues at the time of oil change.As soon as I heard this, we went back to the store while giving them a phone call to get a quote for an oil change, just to make sure they don't have absurd pricing policies. The guy on the phone said it would be 95 dollars for the make&model of my wife's car. I hung up and we rushed into the store. The staff responsible for this act wasn't there at the moment, so we talked to Tim instead. I told him the situation, and he was surprised to see a very high price on an oil change. He then realized that the alignment service was added, raising the total to 260. He changed it to a free alignment check (which was what my wife initially signed up for) and apologized to us, even adding a coupon to rectify this matter. Tim was very apologetic, although he did nothing wrong. It was the staff whose first name starts with an N, who overcharged my wife.What's funny is that they called us to inform us of an alignment problem and told us that the alignment service would cost 120. We were upset and wanted to take the vehicle serviced elsewhere, but we agreed to get this service because, like it or not, the vehicle was already in there. After all this drama, we were afraid they might do something to the vehicle. So yeah, we ended up giving in.Big Brand may say that their staff confirmed with my wife by going over the services. But when you change the word alignment check with the word alignment service as you're listing all the free services, not many innocent people would catch the difference. I truly don't know what else to call this but a scam.

Could only afford one tire to be replaced this month called around Big Brand Tire gave me a quote Acer Seasonal Tire around $80.00 out the door price! Tim from Big Brand looked at my tires and noticed the one that needed immediate priority to be replaced said it be done by 5pm. Ivan helped with the transaction! Thank you Jesus Christ for the experienced, knowledgeable, kind and professional customer service support at Big Brand Tires God Bless them! Amen

I deeply regret not sharing my horrendous experience with Big Brand Tire sooner. My visit on July 19, 2023 for a supposedly simple oil change turned into a series of nightmarish events that has left me utterly disappointed and frustrated.Firstly, the extra wait time was the least of my concerns. Despite being told it would take 1.5 hours, I ended up waiting for a staggering 3 hours. I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but the level of incompetence displayed by the staff at Big Brand Tire is inexcusable.Strike 1: The technician incorrectly fitted the wrong washer on the oil drain plug, causing oil to spill all underneath my Audi. I shudder to think what could have happened had I not decided to get a haircut nearby, as I initially planned to drive to LA right after the oil change. A catastrophic disaster could have happened to my vehicle. I've attached a photo to showcase the negligence.Strike 2: Upon returning to have them rectify their mistake, the manager on duty, Ivan, apologized about the issue and claimed his technicians cleaned up as much as they could and "topped off" the oil. Additionally, he told me they would issue me a refund for the inconvenience. Problem solved, right? WRONG. Later that night, my car's minimum oil light illuminated, indicating they hadn't actually added the necessary oil. I called Big Brand Tire just before closing, and I was told that maybe it was the oil sensor in my car malfunctioning. I winded up adding oil myself, and "shockingly", the minimum oil indicator turned off.Strike 3: The saga continued when, to my dismay, I discovered they had never issued the promised refund. After weeks of not seeing the refund on my credit card, I took a closer look at the invoice texted to me and realized the refund was never processed correctly. The refund was listed as "cash" on the invoice, even though I paid with credit card initially. If I hadn't meticulously checked my credit card statement, they would have gotten away with this blatant business malpractice making errors and failing to take responsibility for them by providing the agreed-upon refund.Fast forward to last week, and my ordeal with Big Brand Tire persists. Upon opening my front hood to add oil, I discovered my undercarriage shield was missing. I contacted the manager, Ivan, who assured me he would investigate and call me back the next day. Unfortunately, I'm STILL waiting for that call. I have video evidence proving the shield was on when the oil spill occurred in July. Now, due to their negligence, I am left without essential parts for my Audi, and the cost of replacement is far from cheap.In summary, unless you're exclusively in the market for tires, avoid Big Brand Tire for any other automotive services. Their lack of care for customers' vehicles, coupled with their disregard for promises and responsibilities, has turned what should have been a routine service into an absolute disaster. Save yourself the trouble and find a more reputable service provider for your car needs.

Honest. Trustworthy. Prices are reasonable. Located on the corner of Hollister and Fairview, across the street from Taco Bell and Jiffy Lube. Parking is a little dicey, the lot is very cozy and the road is rough. The staff is knowledgeable and courteous. Great prices on tires.**If your tires have a tire lock, be sure to bring your tire lock key, or they will charge you to break the lock on every tire.They have a decent waiting area, equipped with a big TV.

It has been about 25 years that I am taking my cars to Big Brand Tire in Goleta. Their service is timely, high quality, and reasonable from the cost point of view. I highly recommend them.

My car is an East Coast Car and the bolts had rusted to the point they had to saw off pieces. Sam and his team ordered the necessary parts from Lexus and replaced the rusted arm and bolts necessary to complete an alignment. Sam and co-workers worked extremely hard to finish the car so I would have it the next day. Very customer friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Big Brands Goleta!

Disappointing. Brought car in for brake service. Before service no warning lights on dash. After brake service, warning lights appear on dash. When I returned next day, they blew me off. "Not a problem with the brake service." Big Brand Tires wanted to charge me to correct a problem they caused.

These guys were great! Found the tires I wanted online and they got them for me the next day. Install was great and got the brakes done too. Guys were polite and super friendly. I come here for most things car related and I m never disappointed! Easiest stop of the day!

I bought an extended warranty on a set of tires a while back, just in case. It s been several months since moving out of California and there aren t any Big Brand Tire shops out where I am now. Had to recently replace one of them from getting a really bad flat tire. The ext warranty was still valid and Sam the manager at this location assured me they d help me out. Kind of an odd situation in my case, but the customer service with these guys were honestly great. I ve been here a couple times in the past prior to this last encounter and I had always had a good experience. Thank you Sam and the guys at Big Brand Tire, you guys are awesome.

Made appointment. I got there they told me it would take 2 hour for a tire rotation. 2 hours came and had not touched my car then they tell me oh short staffed. 3 hours later finally out of there after sitting there the whole time. Very horrible customer service not noticing of delays

If you make an appointment, expect to wait the standard walk in time anyway. They changed my oil, took the wheels off my car, and just let it dangle on the rack until I finally had enough and asked if it was normal for them to just abandon the job like that. Turns out they had already done the oil change, and all they needed to do to get me on my way was finish the tire rotation. Maybe they were mad because I declined the upcharge services.To top it all off, I get home and look at my invoice more carefully, and it turns out they used blended oil instead of full synthetic.

They took two hours to fix a screw in a tire go to the one in Santa Barbara. They re not so lame. These guys just left me sitting there even though I asked a couple times to check on it. Nothing should take that long.

Predatory shop that will fabricate problems to solve!Firstly, my bad experience was not with any actual service but with the diagnosis of a problem that my car has since not had despite being quoted $2.5k for it.I went in for steering wheel wobble which I was pretty certain was a simple wheel balance. Mechanic looked at my car for an entire 2 minutes and told me I needed to replace my shocks for two and a half thousand dollars. Went to a different place and got the wheel balance, 2k miles later no wobble.I have no doubt their actual service is decent but be VERY weary about any crazy fixes they think you need. GET A SECOND OPINION.

I called and booked an appt. to check my tire which had a screw in it. Ivan pulled it out, tested the tire pressure, and assured me all was good....that the screw had not damaged anything, having gone in at an angle. He then added air to all my tires. No charge! What a doll!

My wife had a broken CV axle and worn hub bearings on her 2008 Mazda CX-9. I replace all of the worn parts including the tie rod ends. I took it in for an alignment because of the new parts. The alignment price $125. I received a call 20 minutes later stating that the alignment is way off, and did I replace any parts? I said yes, CV axle, left hub and tie rod ends. They said that I needed to get a premium alignment for $165. The only adjustment that was off was the toe adjustment which I could have done at home but had to pay an additional $40 for a toe adjustment. They couldn't even show me what the toe adjustment was after the alignment. I will not bring any car that I have to this shop again.

This is the second time in a row that I ve been sold and alignment and have received a tow correction only. Camber was clearly out before and was not even tempted to correct.I was told both times by the service writer It cannot be corrected for either being maxed out or not having the adjustments available. Both times technician simply didn t do the camber set. Not because it didn t have the adjustment or because adjustments were already at max. They simply didn t want to take the time. But they also didn t want to get paid less for a lesser alignment. I believe this is fraudulent. I am being sold one thing, receiving a lesser thing and being lied to about it. What would you call it?This is the third time in a row that I ve had a problem with alignments here at big brand. The third experience they didn t lie to tell me an adjustment couldn t be made. But they did charge me $180 to set the toe. The other angles were in spec on that car so no others were needed.FYI a 1996 Mercedes with 200k miles that was last purchased for $1000 (and looks like I over paid) is in BiG Brand s eyes, a luxury vehicle . They charged $180 for a toe set. FYI it s not any harder to set the toe on this vehicle than on any other vehicle (think Honda Civic). But because of the badge on the car (not time working) I was charged a premium over say that Civic. So you could buy a low end new car for 30x what that old Merc is worth and meanwhile get a cheaper toe set (which is the exact same job time). So just beware that you maybe charge a luxury tax at Big Brand that is completely greed driven.Three strikes for me I cannot in good faith recommend Big Brand tire unless you are absolutely out of options or simply don t mind paying for service you will not receive, or being overcharged on the ones you do.They get two stars as it s not the quality of work that I have the real problem with. It s the business practices. There have been some shady standards that have been set by upper management. It s a real shame they have no trouble conducting their business in a less than upfront way.

I took my car to a Big Brand Tires on Fairview due to a screw on my left rear tire that one person on Milpas St put on. They fixed quick for free!, they are very friendly and a very good customer service, thank you BBT.

I had a puncher on my Lexus and Lexus of Santa Barbara who Will not fix it. When I googled it, I found it where the screw went in was totally fixable, so I took it to big Brand, tire and auto repair day fix it, but they did it for free. They also did it within record time. Thank u.

Look no further! You've found the best of the best. I can't recommend Big Brand Tires enough.We found ourselves on the side of the 101 for 90 minutes with a flat shredded tire on a Saturday night at 8pm. I panicked! We found Big Brand Tires (in Goleta) was one of few places that is open on a Sunday and offered an online appointment schedule. Towed my EV to their back lot and was there when they opened EARLIER than 9AM for folks waiting outside. Straight away, Ben was pleasant and happy to help. That's so rare these days! Not only was he happy to help, Ben reassured me he would get me back on the road but the tire would take a day to arrive. From start to finish he was professional, courteous and super helpful. Didn't try to upsell or talk me into getting two new front tires only the one that blew out. He showed me that my rim wasn't damaged too which really put me at ease. I knew I was in the right place! I was shocked at how quickly they completed it and left everything SUPER clean. Not only were they incredibly affordable, they gave me a military discount to boot. Call them today, you can thank me later!

I'm writing this for my girlfriend who went through a horrific time. She kept me in the loop the whole time via texting.She scheduled an appointment at Big Brand Tires for a standard oil change. The expectation was 30 minutes. However, her experience spiraled into 2 hours of frustration.Despite having made an appointment, her car remained untouched and ignored for an hour and half until she finally started complaining as she was going to be late for her appointment. The staff clearly lacked communication.She informed the staff that she wanted to cancel the service but instead was met with more miscommunication. They claimed the service had just begun, yet her car remained idle for an additional 15 minutes, visible through the workshop window.The ordeal wreaked her schedule, making her late for subsequent appointments.Her advice to others. Never again.
