I got relief when I found out that Boris Auto Repair shop was nearby area where my car stopped working. When I asked the tow track driver to tow my car to this shop he mentioned that he heard good things about the mechanic who owns the shop. After Boris checked the problem he said that it is an alternator problem and needs to be replaced. Long story short he fixed the car and cleaned all the parts under the hood and checked all parts, fluids and tires. He charged for his work very reasonable amount. I am glad that I found trusted mechanic for the work!

I brought my car to Boris after damaging my transmission and he took it in on very short notice despite being busy with other clients. He kept me looped in at every step and even gave me a deal on the cost of the labor. My transmission ended up being a total loss and Boris immediately researched a few quotes for replacements on my behalf. The dealership where I originally bought the car was able to replace the transmission under warranty, but I can t thank Boris enough for how well he took care of my car and how kind he was to me through the entire process. If the warranty hadn t covered a new transmission I absolutely would have trusted Boris to replace it for me at a fair price with quality service. If you need a mechanic that you can trust, Boris is the best!

I found Boris through a friend. This was a big repair, so I really needed someone that knew what they were doing.Boris is a great mechanic and knew exactly what I needed and did a very good job. It was done much faster than expected (shops told me they d need a week), but he had it done by the second day.He also recommended I replace some smaller parts that could end up causing costly repairs down the road. I obliged, and when i came to pick up the car he had all the defective parts laid out and explained exactly what could have gone wrong and create bigger repairs. He also gave me a choice of what type of parts (OEM vs. aftermarket) and gave his reasoning why one might perform better than another.I ve never had a shop take that much care to explain why spending a little extra on a smaller fix now could help save hundreds-if not thousands- in the future.I m going to Boris from now on because finally I feel that my cars are in good hands.

After having bad experiences with Sears Auto Center, I was lucky to find Boris. I'm using his services for 7 years and I'm happy with the quality of services. Prices are low too, which is an extra incentive. I've taken my car to Boris several times. He's professional, honest, and extremely knowledgeable when it comes to fixing cars. He's become my "go-to" neighborhood mechanic and I will always call him first whenever I need to get my car serviced. Highly recommend him.

I went to Boris the other day for the first time, on the recommendation of a neighbor. This place seems like it's one of those well-kept local secrets.My old beater Corolla needed some serious help after a lot of neglect, and Boris and Gagik took great care of it.You never know what you're going to get when you go to a mechanic for the first time, but these guys obviously take great pride in their work. The prices are very reasonable and more importantly, Boris went over all the items with me and was happy to answer all my questions. Boris is very trustworthy, honest and very competent. I've been coming here for years. I do a lot of driving and put many miles on my vehicles. I've also had some accidents that he has repaired. All his work is excellent. Fed up with sloppy and expensive work being done at the dealership, I started going to Boris about 2 years ago. He is extremely thorough and explains everything in great detail. He knows what he's doing, and seems very trustworthy. Positive experiences al around.

On December 22, 2022 I took my car to Boris Auto Repair Shop located in Glendale, CA. My car was badly misfiring and needed immediate repair. Boris had my car repaired immediately and without difficulties. His excellent skills is unquestionable, and I am always grateful for his talent in repairing my car. I recommend to all car owners to use Boris Auto Repair Shop if they ever need to have their car repair or service.

My alternator died while I was driving and had to get my car towed to an auto shop. I remembered my family and friends speaking well of Boris's place so I decided to give him a call. He admitted that he was busy, but that he would still take a look at the car and see what he could do. He was nothing but pleasant when I arrived, despite being very busy. I ended up needing a new alternator; the AAA guys who towed my car thought that this would be the case too. I'm not the most knowledgeable guy about cars, but Boris went over what he did, twice, for my benefit. He cleaned up the battery connections and a few miscellaneous items as well. Turn around time was quick enough and parts and labor were very fair. Boris and his place are assets to the Glendale community. I am new to the area and was impressed with all the great reviews Boris had online, so I decided to bring my 2013 Subaru BRZ to him rather than a local dealership. I was wanting to get a 60K mile service and also needed a diagnostic because my ABS light has been coming on after a period of freeway driving and disengaging my cruise control. Just the 60K service quote from the dealership was running between 1.5K and 2K (because of the difficulty in replacing spark plugs on this car). Boris did a stem to stern evaluation of my car (rather than just the list for the 60K service), cleaned both the engine and undercarriage/grill where there were rusted elements and years of leaf material which was interfering with air flow. He did some additional work: he found a faulty thermostat that could have caused an engine overheat going forward, he did a full flush of the coolant system as well as a fuel injection service. We ended up needing to do an alignment which corrected the ABS light/cruise control issue. He actually did like a 20 mile highway test drive to make sure the light was not still coming on. He also went over all the things he found during the service with me (including showing me photos) and let me know what other things will probably need servicing relatively soon (struts and brakes). All of this ended up being about the same cost as the original quote for just the 60K service with the dealership. He has been great to work with and I will absolutely be using him for my car servicing in the future. Boris is a great mechanic plain and simple he is very professional and very reliable at what he does. I went to him with a bit of hesitation at first due to my experience of bringing my car to not so reliable mechanics. But what I got from Boris was the absolute pinnacle of what a good hard working and honest mechanic should be. He is absolutely 100 percent honest and hardworking and his work shows for it he is always going to give you what you expect to be fixed and is always updating you on what he is doing with your vehicle. 10 out of 10 would recommend going to and for sure would want to go back if anything else happened to my car.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

My family has been going to Boris for car checkups and repairs for around 20 years -- and for good reason. His prices and quality of service are un-beatable. I bought my first car from him earlier this year (160k miles) and so far it's running amazingly! I've put it through its paces, having driven to Brooklyn, NY and back. When I got back, I dropped it off at Boris Auto Repair and by the next day, the service was complete. I'd definitely recommend Boris to anyone looking for a good repair shop!

I came to Boris Auto Repair when my catalytic converter got stolen. I had no idea what to do but Mr.Boris was the one who helped me throughout the whole difficult process. I wanted to get the catalytic converter shield but there was nothing made for my Honda Accord. When I called Mr. Boris, he told me he can customize the shield by himself. Not only did he customize and make the shield for my car, but he also checked everything and told me the parts that needed to be repaired and fixed. If Mr.Boris didn t alert me about my car situation, I could have been in a big danger. He truly saved me and my family s life!!! I am deeply thankful and feel blessed to find Boris Auto Repair. Everyone knows that a good mechanic who is honest and trustworthy is hard to find. And when you do find one you definitely keep them. That's why Boris has been my mechanic for over 12 years. The work he has done on my cars has always been excellent. The service, the speed and commitment to quality are the best I have ever received.He never over charges for any work done. Always explains what needs to be done in detail so there's never any question that the recommended repair is necessary.I highly recommend him to all those in need of a great mechanic!

I have been taking my cars to Boris for 20 years now. I can say without a doubt that Boris is the best service provider of any type that I have used. Beyond doing great maintenance and repair work for a reasonable price, Boris is straightforward and honest to a fault. He is happy to take the time to explain any needed repairs, and has great advice for how to minimize future repairs. If you are interested in a trustworthy mechanic who is also an absolutely great guy, this is it.

After having my car serviced at several different places in the past, I can say without a doubt that Boris Auto Repair tops them all. The prices are very reasonable and competitive, while the service is outstanding. Boris is the only mechanic I've met who I felt like I can truly trust with my car. He explained everything that needed to be done with great detail, helping me really understand the problem instead of glazing over it. Woke up to a puddle in the passenger seat of my car. Turns out I had various things clogged in my engine/AC. In one days time Boris had everything in my car sorted and I was good to go. Great experience and customer service!

Boris is an incredibly sweet guy!I have a much older Buick that has had its fair share of issues and he always goes above and beyond to repair, do oil changes, check the fluids, the breaks, anything. He also explains in great-depth what could be wrong and what can solve the problem. Boris and his staff know cars inside and out and do outstanding repair work. They are thorough and honest and make sure that the customer is satisfied. Besides fixing my cars, Boris also has sold several of them for me, and the experience has always been excellent.Boris Auto Repair is a hidden gem on Chevy Chase Drive below the Glendale Freeway.
