I rate this smog test center highly. It has a spacious waiting room and also the building itself is quite large. They do DMV services as well if you want to renew your registration.

The best place for a smog check. Prices are the best as well. If you fail the smog check, they will retest your car for no extra charge. I am very happy with these guys and will go there anytime I need the smog check. Thank You!

Under new management. alot of us from Gilroy are loyal customers to this facility because of the great customer service the previous owners gave (elderly couple) new owners are rude and seem to be annoyed working there. Garbage attitude!! Spoke to another customer while I was there, and he as well was disappointed with the customer service. Thankfully I left to another smog test in town 0/10

Great service! I needed a smog test at a star station but heard recently that South County Smog had changed ownership (owners retired). Decided to give new owners a try and went in without an appointment. Just 1 person before me but his vehicle was completed in less than 10 minutes. Mine was next - took less than 10 minutes too! They transmit the certification to DMV like usual too. Prices are reasonable and competitive. They take cash or credit cards. They are only open Monday through Friday, with less busy days being midweek, Tuesday thru Thursday. I'll be bringing my other vehicles there when they come due too.

This is a Star Smog Test station - extra quality. I turned up without an appointment (they allow this). The directions to check in were clear and the wait short (less than 5 minutes) to get checked in. The person doing this was efficient, really friendly and polite. I was given a wait time the of 20 minutes. There was a clean open place to sit, free Internet and I waited about 15 minutes. Then it was all done! The cost was highly competitive.I have never had such good and fast service for doing this in twenty-five years.Service: Smog certification

Work was efficient and properly done at a fair price. Man and his wife were very friendly and helpful. No appointment necessary. Was in and out in 45 minute even with 2 others ahead of me. Also sell farm fresh eggs from their ranch. Best service ever had at a Smog Check station.

The best. Great system getting people in and out as quick as possible. I failed, and received advice on what to fix. I then came back after making the repair the same day and it passed. Great service and very reasonbly priced.

Man I don t know what happened to the old owners they were very welcoming and the nicest people. These new owners I did not get that same feeling very rude and fast paced . Will not be coming back. Just a heads up for the city of gilroy this is not the older couple owners anymore.

Over the last 4+ years always fast and friendly service. Close w no appts. Sometimes this can be a wait if cars are ahead but they are efficient. Great team that has our business.

The couple that run the business are very friendly and courteous. Before I even brought my truck into the testing area the lady advised me not to test it because she could hear that it was misfiring and go fix it first. That is very good customer service an advice from a good smog check facility.

Great service. Retest part of smog that failed origin test. Once they told me it passed that part I payed for whole test. Also quick service at a low price. Best place in the South Bay

Very friendly owners. For something that is a hassle to do at least this place gets it done quick, its cheap and the sitting area is pleasant. We take our personal cars as well as our business fleet here.

I always come here for my smog checks. This couple is THE nicest, welcoming couple. Many times when you go to an automotive care place, people are mechanical and you know they want your money. Not here, it's like having your uncle smog your car while you chat with your aunt.
