Had a slow tire leak my car dealer and I could not find.Patrick resolved the leak, saving me from buying a new tire. No punctures were found, so they sealed the rim/tire before re-mounting.Problem solved !!Preferred Automotive has highly skilled service people who have maintained my cars (foreign and domestic) for the past 10 years.I always trust them for correct solutions without fear of overcharging.

If you re looking for trustworthy and reliable service, I would recommend Preferred Automotive 10 time out of 10! They were very professional and communicated efficiently and I knew my car was in good hands with them!

My turbo failed, George s in Morgan Hill is where I took the car into, explained my turbo was failed, and what was done to the car, and decided I didn t know what I was talking about and that it was not my turbo but something else. $1500 later, 2 months without a car, letting my car sit outside his shop on the street where it was then backed into completely ruining my hood and headlights. I was told the car was done and to pick it up, arriving to my car looking like it hadn t moved off that spot in the street in atleast two weeks. Next thing I noticed was my hood and headlights completely damaged. George said he didn t do it, but he d order me a hood, and 6 months later, still nothing. He then decided to lecture me on my own car, acting like a know it all while in the meantime giving me my car back worse than it was before.Now I took the same car, same failed turbo, to preferred automotive and they had my turbo out, replaced, and fixed in less than 36 hours. This is the best place around. Don t go anywhere else. ESPECIALLY GEORGES IN MORGAN HILL. Do not believe the good reviews about Georges. Worst mechanic I ve ever been to. Preferred Automotive is the best decision.

David, the owner, runs an incredibly clean shop and genuinely a good guy. Patrick, who is the service advisor, is one of the best that I have worked with over the years! Honest, fair, and extremely competent, I highly recommend Preferred.

There was a shortage on parts for our BMW. The team at Preferred went above and beyond to find the parts and had them overnighted from Florida. They replaced the car and ran full tests to make sure all was perfect. Preferred auto in gilroy is the best auto shop I've ever done business with. Their garage and work space is cleaner than my own garage. David is a stand up guy; he's always down selling me; he always tells me, "you don't need it". They're the best in Gilroy; probably in a 100mile radius. Their prices aren't the super cheap but very competitive; they're legit. I recommend them to all my friends and family.

I needed 4 shocks installed, an alignment done and a tire mounted as a spare. Preferred Auto was highly recommended by a friend so I thought I d give them a try. I was impressed from the moment I drove up. Nice clean shop. Warm and inviting lobby. Friendly staff. No wait when I arrived. Work was performed to my expectations. My husband and I were going to a different automotive place until we found Preferred Automotive. We switched to taking all our vehicles to Dave at Preferred Auto when we encountered some issues with a vehicle and we we re looking for a second opinion. We took the vehicle to Preferred Auto based on the reviews we saw from customers to check them out. We found that Dave is a much more honest and trustworthy mechanic. My husband and I have brought our previous vehicles and now our newer vehicles to Preferred Auto. Our oldest son and his girlfriend are now both bringing their two vehicles to Preferred Auto. They as well were previously taking their vehicles to another auto mechanic shop but they kept having the same issue keep happening after they paid for two repairs. We referred them them to take it to Preferred Auto and yup you guessed it they got it fixed and working the first repair. We highly recommend Preferred Automotive! This was my first time using their service. I m always a bit skeptical when dealing with mechanics due to bad past experiences. All I can say is that this was the best experience I ve had in a long time. Very good service. From the first phone call till we picked up our van it was smooth and easy. I will definitely use them for future work. They appeared to be quite busy and I expected to have to come back another day and have my car worked on. To my surprise they were able to take my car that day and get the repairs done. Great first time experience.Service: Brakes

Thought my mother's truck was a total loss I believed that the 2001 transmission was out at less than 100,000 miles. This mechanic shop quoted me a reasonable price and when I walked out the door I paid $500 less. My mother's vehicle drives almost brand new I'm sure it'll last her another 30years.The communication back and forth with the mechanic and the front desk was outstanding I was never left out of the loop and never waiting on information of what was going on or the next steps.I was always giving multiple options and reasonable pricing on the services. Best of all I was expecting to be without my mother's truck for at least a week and they got the job done in two and a half days.

Preferred Automotive is what you want in auto repair. The team is easy to work with, professional, communicative, and honest. My entire family uses this company even though we live in different cities which in itself is such a strong statement about what a good company this is. I always feel like they communicate with me without any sort of manipulation about what needs to be done on my car. There are no scare tactics they just let you know what needs to be done and give you plenty of warning for repairs that may be needed down the line. They respect your decisions. This team is a class act and really peaceful and easy to work with. Trust is of first importance in car repair and that s what I love about Preferred. We love being able to support a locally owned business. They really know what they re doing and always get the job done. After towing my sons car here they refused to work on it. We had to have his car towed away! The guy in the shop said they don t work on cars that are not a easy fix. How sad! The other shop we had it towed to fixed it right away. All it needed was a distributor. I d never refer this shop to anyone!
