Experience was terrible. Something wrong was done to my mom's car and it was smoking and it cut off on us when we were on our way home. Had to call AAA road service to have the car towed home. Tried calling and texting the owner of the shop and he didn't respond. So he didn't give a dam about what happened to the car. Won't be going there again.

This is the only mechanic spot I bring my car to.from old types to new types of automobiles.Jose and the rest of his team of mechanic's are the best at what they do in workmanship and really the best customer service each time my car gets serviced and everybody is prompt and accurate.which ever mechanic is working on your car they makes sure you leave happy with the job well done!! I always leave with a smile on my face and I tip each time before leaving the shop and I thank them for a job well done.And I continue to bring my car to this location and I also recommend you bring your car to get serviced whenever your in Gardena ca and I know you'll like the services all these mechanics will provide as much as I do.

The owner is nice enough. But, I took my vehicle in because I had a full engine diagnostic and they told me it was a cylinder 5 misfire. I had low acceleration power and the check engine light would flash very rarely. The mechanic told me that replacing the spark plugs/coils may not fix the misfire, fair enough. However, my vehicle was returned worse than it was left. NOW, the check engine light flashes all of the time, and the vehicle is shaking uncontrollably. I am not upset that the misfire is still there, he informed me that may happen, I'm just confused how any new or replacement parts can make the problem WORSE??

We drive 35 miles from the East San Gabriel Valley to Gardena, passing countless auto repair shops because we know our vehicles will be well taken care of. We trust them with everything from tune-ups to major engine repairs; they maintain our Hummer H3, GMC Yukon Denali XL and our restored 1977 Chevy Crew Cab Dually. We have recommended them to everyone we know who needs excellent service with very reasonable prices! Jose saves all of the old/repaired parts and shows you exactly what was repaired. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

I don't know where these other people went, but my experience here was the worst service I've gotten from a mechanic ever. The first thing they did was lie to me. I asked if they did transmissions, they said yes. Turns out that means they hand it over to another shop nearby to do the work. They said it'd take 4 or 5 days. Then it was 'next Saturday.' Then Monday. Then Tuesday. Then 'in two hours'. Then 'tomorrow at noon'. And when I finally showed up they lied and said it was in the car wash when it was clearly visible in the other mechanic's garage, being worked on still.And I had to initiate contact every time. At no point did they call me for anything other then to demand a deposit. I showed up then got told to wait more. And more. And more. Lie after lie.Oh and I can tell just from the sound of my motor they didn't do the tune up right. But I'll take that to a different mechanic because I want nothing to do with these people ever again.

Every mechanic in their garage was very polite and very professional. Every staff member gave me a polite greeting and wanted to help as soon as I walked into the well equipped and modern garage. Everyone on the team were knowledgeable beyond expectations. After they reviewed what needed to be fixed, I instantly saved over $600 from the estimate I got from a recomended shop called A&J auto shop on Crenshaw that tried to rip me off until I drove over to MTZ performance auto and got an honest estimate.. I recommend that everyone take your vehicles to this Garage because they are all straight from the hip and want to help. The owner(jose martinez) is somebody that you including my self will keep as their mechanic for Life..Joshua Olson

I don't go anywhere but MTZ because they have the friendliest staff, best prices and know what they're doing! They will even give you the best advice to make sure you get the most out of your car and avoid the same mistake. This place been taking care of my baby for almost 3 years now and they will do everything they can to fix your car before recommending you to the dealership. I even brought my sister here to get new brakes and oil change and she was happy with the results and the prices! Even after moving an hour away I still come here. Jose and Miguel you guys rock!

I paid them for a replacement part on my car. They did not properly install causing a domino affect of other problems with my car. This happened not even a few weeks after I paid them to replace. When I called back for a refund (because I would NEVER allow them under the hood of my car again) he got loud & started yelling it s not his problem. HOW IS IT NOT?? Don t waste your time, there are plenty of shops that will treat you right!

DO NOT GET YOUR CAR FIXED HERE!!!!!!!! They replaced my coolant tank but DID NOT PUT THE CLAMPS ON?!?! How ?!?! The tank exploded & ended up breaking more things within the car car because of the pressure. When I called & let them know he said ITS NOT HIS PROBLEM. How is the job your paid for not your problem??? DONT GET YOUR CAR FIXED HERE!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

my experience here at Mtz Performance Auto is a great one . I came about 2 months ago for an engine swap on my 05 acura rsx and the job was done quick and very good i took a while to write the review because I wanted to see how good the work was and the work is greatcustomer service is the best I've ever got and the great part was during the swap the owner would call me to tell me what was going on he also called me in to see how the work was going the crew and the owner are very professional and helpful . greatest experience I've ever had I highly recommend them .

If I could give no stars then I would worst place ever brought my Ford fusion for ac work payed 300 and something to get it fixed and nothing been back and and forth 4 times since they gave me warranty but still nothing and then the guy was very rude to my husband mtz doesnt know what their doing just guessing horrible dont waist your time
