Went here to resurface my 5.7L hemi cylinder heads. They offered to chemical clean, pressure test for cracks, and to resurface the good heads for $300. They found that the driver side head had hairline cracks and they marked them so I could see where. Since they couldnt resurface the bad head since it was cracked, they took $50 off the price bringing the service down to $250. The service was professional and courteous. They even helped me carry them back to my vehicle. Took about a weeks turn around time to get my cylinder heads back. 4 months down the road (today), the resurfaced head they machined in their shop is still sealing up 100%, no leaks, meaning the resurfacing on their machine was good.

A few people may say that this place may feel like a scam or dishonest about pricing but I completely disagree. I brought my 350 Chevy block to these guys to completely go through it and freshen it up a bit. They were very honest and did not overcharge whatsoever. They did everything I asked and then some. Manny has helped me out very much and he s super honest and understanding, as well as a really cool guy.10/10 I 100% RECOMMEND YOU TAKE YOUR WORK TO THE GUYS AT AMS

I came in for a quote for my block and was gonna have them source me new cast iron pistons and rods. It was agreed upon that it was $275. I forgot my girdle so I came the next day to drop it off and Carlos tells me I have to bring all my used internals(rods, pistons) in. I Was confused so I went inside asking for my block back. Dude literally told me that 99% of customers reuse their pistons I dont doubt the people in the back but the dishonesty up front pushed me away from this shop.

If I could if I could give negative Stars this is the place to give it. Took over a month and a half to resurface a single cylinder head. They said it would be done in a week. The front desk Manning must have sold used cars before. Cylinder head failed less than 2 hours into it they What I paid them to surface it, I could have bought two new ones from Amazon. I've learned my lesson not to do business with shops like this again.

Steve Moody and all the guys are top notch. Totally willing to work with you on a one off project. He's offset ground a crank for me, welded up another. All the machine work is spot on and fairly priced. I wouldn't go anyplace else.

I have been very satisfied with their work. I ve been a customer of theirs for at least 10 years and the quality is excellent. I had bad experiences with other local machine shops. These are the best I ve found.Great guys!This posted in error.Sorry

I have nothing but great things to say about the guys at AMS, especially the owner, Steve Moody. These guys helped me with the engine dyno break-in and tune on my freshly built Ford FE. This was my first ground-up engine build and first time using an engine dyno. Steve and his crew were extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and patient with my "newb" questions. The engine dyno run was worth every penny. I will be back to AMS for all my engine-related needs; these guys are true professionals. The review I read below about a competitor must be a joke - I used that shop mentioned below for the machine work on this engine block and I will never go back. I wish I would have found AMS sooner.

Very poor service, tried to charge me for damaging my brand new part, there are other shops in Fresno who do much better work and definitely more reputable. Please avoid this place at all cost.

Great work and cheap. Had them rebuild my 289. Previous review is most likely by competitors.

Sorry business does not want to cover anything on warranty. They over haul engines and really expensive. They always put you on hold. They need a receptionist

AMS MACHINE SHOP LINE BORED MY FLAT HEAD ENGINE BLOCK AND THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL. THE RACE TEAM THAT I'M ON FREQUENTLY USES THE WHEEL DYNO TO CHECK OUR BONNEVILLE CAR TO ACHIEVE THE BEST TUNE-UP. THANK YOU AMS .(STEVE FAVELO)

Dishonest about pricing, I called to get a quote then get told when i arrive that it was going to be more. Also what business doesn't take business checks.
