A-1 Auto Electric is one of the best automotive repair shops in the central valley hands down. Mark and Josh have done a great job with that shop. A-1 has been around for a long time. Sonny is probably one of the best at his craft, very knowledgeable and wise, kind of like a car doctor. Great team, great service and honest people. Trust is such a huge factor when choosing a repair shop and you can choose A-1 Auto Electric worry free.

Just another auto repair nightmare at a horrible shop. Went there for a smog and still not repaired after $800 spent on items that didn't work and an additional $177 to change the service light bulb!Then of course they wanted another $1300 to install new cat converter, which should have been the only part needed to pass smog which I told them about. What a rip off! These so called mechanics or who ever is running the place makes it one of those Nightmare auto repair shop experiences.They are only after your money.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I would not trust the integrity and knowledge of the people who work at this shop. I manage a shop in another city and with no time to help my girlfriend.. I figured I could ask a fellow shop to help me out. I called and explained the problem she was having, who ever the service advisor was that answered left me with the impression that he knew exactly what I was talking about. After the car was towed over, the initial charge was 118 ( understandable). I get a call not long after telling me how they need more time and $500 more to figure out the problem. First they said the battery was put on backwards (because toyotas have reverse post batteries..(its a Duralast autozone battery... gibberish thinking that would confuse me? ) and shorted something, then they said someone put wrong fuses in. Mind you, this car was recently purchased from the dealership and has had no prior issues or work done. I had them pull the car out as soon as I heard their explanation. I took time off work, drove down to fresno repaired the vehicle in less time than it would took them to "diagnose" the problem. Turns out they broke the main fuse and just shoved back into the fuse box. Be warned.

I've never had these guys do me wrong. They are not the cheapest, but they are not as expensive as a dealership and they do good work. They also have a shuttle service so you can drop your car off and get a ride to & from work in Fresno.

Brought my car in for one thing, with a check engine light on. When I picked it up, it had another light on, I went to go ask the guys what happened because I had only brought it in for 1 problem, and right away they said.."YOU brought the car in like that already." This is a straight out lie and they know it, their mechanic did something to my car, and when I confronted them they put the blame on the customer and then tried to explain that the other problem"coincidentally" happened that day AFTER I dropped my car off! What a bunch of thieves and lowlifes!!! Then they had the audacity to want to charge me for a problem that THEY caused!! NEVER AGAIN!

Took my Car there before thanksgiving, they said it wou take about a week, which I needed to know because I am a delivery driver & a manager at my work place. I didn't get my car until January..... Btw when I took it in, to A-1, the codes were PO174 On a ford taurus 98 se dohc 24v 3.0, I had the Tune in tune up Government aid for smog covering $500 of cost, there estimate came out to roughly $1,400. The government bump up coverage for me too $800, leaving me to pay $596 after taxes, which btw I greatly appricate because it kept me working! However A-1 customer service was very unprofessional, because the next day after recieving my car the check engine light came back on with the same code PO174. I called them & they told me to bring it back in but the way they told me was like it was my fault, saying " Well we did what we were suppose to do we got it to pass smog", which by state law it cannot pass a smog test with the light on or turned off for a period of time. The employee specifically "Manuel", said that " if the light came on then it's just a coincidence" & that it was something bound to happen to my car. I never took it back in because I didn't get my car for 3 months and couldn't afford that agian while working full time, going to fresno city, with a baby on the way, plus I have been shown that it is just a vaccum leak that I will get fixed soon for well under $50. HIGHLY UNRECOMMENDED!!

The biggest part and price rip-off on mark up part. They're Crooks, who are "APPROVED" by an License for repairs serviced, Government Funding RIP off $1,700 for an aftermarket catalytic converter and a oxygen sensor for a 2002 Toyota Camry.2 years ago

I had an electrical issue with my truck and other shops couldn't figure it out, one shop wanted to charge me $700 just to look at it , but A-1 found the problem and fixed my truck for a way more responsible price!! So now I always bring my vehicles to them !
