Found Mobile Mechanic on google. Needed front brake pads replaced and Jay was the right guy for the job! Gave me a time frame of his arrival to my house. Once he got here, the man got right to work. Finished very quickly than took it on a test drive. He also recommended I replace my rotors as they are wearing out. He will be getting a call for that job as well Very honest and reliable! He was explaining and showing the defect I had on my break pads and always willing to show me different points of views on how to approach the problem. At the end the caliper was not properly placed and was lacking lubrication. Aside from that my rear left break pad was almost worked out so he replace them both rear pads and at a very good price. I agree with previous comments and I actually followed them to take his service which I m very satisfied and happy with it

I don t usually write reviews but after discovering Jay and Mobile Mechanic on Demand, I wanted to share my experience.My car didn t want to start and it was completely dead. I had no clue what was the problem. I had contacted three other mechanics before Jay and they didn t even know what they were looking at and couldn t tell me what the problem was.When I contacted Jay, he came over the next day to inspect my car. Right away he told me what was wrong and what needed to get replaced.The next morning he came over again and replace the fuse right away, not less than 15 minutes he was done.I want to thank him for solving the problem I had with my car and fixing it. What took a week and a half with that other mechanics, Jay did it in a span of minutes, and I salute that to him.If there s a mechanic I recommend in this area is Jay and Mobile Mechanic in Demand. The reasonable price, the professionalism and communication made everything easy for me.Now my car is running as ever before. Jay is the absolute best. I have a decent amount of experience troubleshooting auto issues but resort to an experienced tech for higher level issues . Jay is very honest and compassionate with pricing along with getting fixes done right the first time he s repaired my 2009 Camry a no start and dying overnight and my 2013 Acura tl ac leak both have been verified fixes and he s explained what he s done to find and fix the issue along with showing the the fix upon repair . Not a lot of good auto techs out there and they re truly the best . He ll have my business for the times to come .

My Lexus GS 300 was actiang up after 10 -15 min of driving . Sometimes it would not respond , wont accelerate , with only ideling while driving .I ve contacted Mechanics on demand , diagnostic was done in less the 15 min . I was offered multiple options. For new part I had to wait 2-3 weeks since its specialty part. There fore we proceeded with good used one for same day repairs.It took took the mech about an hour and I took a test drive . My Old Lexus is running like new , problem resolved, plus now it's more responsive .Great experience and reasonable priced.If I need any auto repair in future Mechanic on Demand is First on the list .

My Hybrid had an error that said "check hybrid system. Turn off engine." The mobile mechanic gave me an honest assessment and taught me how to assess the issue end to end. We both agreed it was likely just an electrical glitch and not a serious problem like my water pumps not working or a dead hybrid battery. The Mobile Mech went ahead and added some coolant fluid since ours was getting slightly low. I paid him what I thought was fair and though we didn't have to get serious work done I would encourage people to pay the man for his knowledge and honesty. People like this deserve gratitude

I do not often provide a recommendation but when I do, it has to be rare and unique experience.I am very picky who I have working on my car. I am looking for a mechanic who I can build a long term relationship with because of their competency, integrity and their recognition of my needs and situation that might be different than other customers.I had such a relationship for two decades with a car mechanic in Fremont that recently sold his shop. The lead mechanic was still there so I decided to continue, at least for now. But I noticed the prices seemed higher.When I recently went back, they presented me a proposal for maintenance that were more than value of the car. What ever personal trusting relationship I had with them was now different. I knew I needed to make a change.I stumbled upon the concept of Mobile Mechanics, which I was unfamiliar with. Like most things I do, I did a deep and exhaustive dive into the pros and cons, Mobile Mechanics in my area, etc. Yes, it can take some time and diligence but if you are replacing a several decade relationship, it takes time, reflection, re-examination of needs and possibly some trail and error before you to discover the right fit for you.We live in a world today of more words with less true substance and a veneer of integrity so it might even take more time discovering a shop, a person, that can meet this type of relationship that I want and demand. Not easy in a world promising to solve all your problems and make your life easier. Often forgotten is under promising and over delivering!After weeks of searching the Mobile Mechanics industry, I stumbled upon Jay and Mobile Mechanic On Demand. My usual criteria was not first met by Jay. He was not a shop in the top 3 to 5 with the greatest number of positive reviews. But in Yelp, he was in the top 3 recommended in my area, which seem strange when he had only so few reviews compare to many others. I kept looking and speaking with others but I kept coming back to Jay.If you look at his reviews, the one clear theme that pops out in the first line of each review is how honest he is. A person who knows his current limitations and is brutally honest about them but also is clear what he can do is a rare quality today. But again, it is just written words and until I meet the person, engage them and experience for myself how they respond, that is the beginning of a possible life long relationship the enriches one s life.I want people around me who I can deeply trust and who knows me, even better than myself at times, to support me so I can put my time into utilizing my gifts and contribution to others and know the rest of my life is well taken care of! My time is the most precious thing I have and who I engage needs to honor that.After engaging Jay this past week and his detailed approach to my needs were met and exceeded at a very reasonable price, I can say without any reservation, Jay of Mobile Mechanic On Demand, in my opinion, is such a relationship!But don t believe me, just try him out once discover it for yourself and I think a new world may be open to you in how you and your car can be serviced.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance

I had a very positive experience with Jay. I was helping a friend buy a used RV. Jay came up to Berkeley and gave the vehicle a thorough inspection. He really took the time to review all the systems of the vehicle and give us detailed information about its condition and what repairs it would need. He was very generous with his time and advice overall. I can't speak to their work as mechanics since we didn't get to that stage, but overall a very positive experience - thorough, patient and very helpful.

I called Mobile Mechanic for the first time since I was pretty sure my starter had gone. They gave me an appointment the same day, within three hours of when I called, which was outstanding since the competition couldn't respond until late the same night, or the next day. I worked with Jay. He was prompt, professional, courteous, and willing to accommodate my desperate car fixing needs within a reasonable time frame. I highlyrecommend Mobile Mechanics to anyone who lives nearby their offices in Fremont, Ca. Jay is God's gift to my car. He is sufficient and reasonable. Jay's knowledge is very informative. I have been using his services for a while now. Recently, he took care of my brakes, rotors, and engine mounts at a cost-effective price for my Honda Accord. Not only did he fix essential things, but he went the extra mile to take care of other minor things. It's a peace of mind to be able to trust your mechanic and, he is fast, extremely efficient, unbelievably knowledgeable, not only mechanically but structurally and cosmetically as well.

I contacted Jay to arrange for a pre purchase vehicle inspection. We talked for 34 minutes as he advised me about the best ways to purchase a used car and the benefits and cons of some of the other cars I was considering. He shared all his knowledge of many years freely with me and I regret that the car had sold before we had the chance to meet and do the inspection in person. I apologized for taking his time and he replied it was not a problem. I trust his expertise and honesty and will definitely try to use Jay in the near future.

Jay is the best mechanic I have ever dealt with. I needed an oil change and a professional opinion regarding some other issues I was dealing with my car. Jay explained in detail, gave me as much info I needed to make the repair decision. Extremely honest person. I will always go back to Jay for all my repairs and would tell all friends and family. Jay gave me a quote to change my spark plugs came by ended up changing my engine air filter, air conditioner interior air filter, help change my brake light. All the extra time and still only charged me for spark plug labor price... thank you for your fast and extra help w filters and light bulb. Awesome service. I was visiting my parents pretty far from home and noticed a grinding scary noise. I texted Mobile Mechanic and he came over on short notice on Sunday and pointed out a simple thing that my last service shop missed which was causing a grinding noise..He quickly fixed it and didn t even charge! I don t live near this area but will certainly recommend him to my parents and others in Fremont !
