Old couple operating this place. All the shops told me 680$ to change transmission oil and filter. He did it for $450. Very affordable. Thank you so much

I dont reconmend getting a smog check here. They wanna make a quick $50 to fail you on visual inspection. They will pass your smog check 2 years ago and then tell you have to replace your cat converter and say its tampered to tell you the engine codes dont match when 2 years ago it was correct and you passed it. They wanna over charge you for another smog check. Want to over charge you $450 for the part alone and charge $650 to install it. And they wanna rob you $700 and then another $25 so your paying $725 out the door and the cat converter is good. And this car passed 4 times in a row and I took it to different smog tech and they passed it. Fumny how 2 years ago they lifted the whole car and it passed visual inspection 2 years ago. This guy really wants to charge you $75 just to do a smog check. He does that by charging you half the price at $25 to maximize his profit. You mine as well take it to bar and find another smog tech. This guy will make sure you fail just so he can make $50 in total when your sign says $40 and he scam customers by telling them its a certification fee. They use there language barrier just to get away with it. Your better off taking it to the smog guy in thorton in newark since they offer a free smog check after you paid. If they charge full price or half price there not a good smog shop. They do that to make money since they dont make much just like oil changes. The shop is very disorganized and very messy. The shop is very run down and in the ghetto.

I went to this auto shop because it looks affordable and worth the price but i was very wrong.Pros: The mechanic here is a skilled mechanic.Cons:1. I pretend that i am not knowledgeable with cars. I went here to replace the front brake pads of my car but i just find out they only replace the left side but they charge me for both sides.2. Over pricing too.They charge simple check up with a high prices.

If I could leave a zero I would. My handicap scooter had a flat, the gas station across the streets air was out of order. I had a spare tube with me, and already changed the tire. I simply asked if I could use their air, or if they could fill it up. They said no we do not work on those. I said it's already changed I just need air. They said no and walked away leaving me stranded. This is not a neighborhood friendly or handicap friendly business. I would take my business elsewhere.

It's the worst auto shop I've ever seen. They post a price for SMOG then overcharge you for sure.

First off I'm a very hesitate person with whom I take my car because I have been scammed so many times regarding my cars. Where the previous shops would literally unscrew a screw to charge me to fix that problem just to unscrew another screw so I could keep bringing the car back. This shop is a very honest shop. I have taken my car here quite a few times. But this particular time I thought and (was persistent about it) was told that I needed control arms for my car. I kept telling the owner I needed this part. I left the car and told him to take his time because I needed the car fixed correctly. Now he could've told me anything because I wouldn't have known but he told me I needed tires. I trusted the process and he was a absolutely amazing person with going above and beyond to get my car fixed. Mind you he had a accident where he went to the hospital but he still was insistent on getting my car back to me.That's shows me integrity and I respect that. I give this shop a 10/10 if I could.Service: Auto tire replacement

I got a quote for a repair from ABC smog and auto for 1000.00 .This shop only charged me 338.00 to replace my right wheel bearing(. 2004 Toyota Camry) quick one day service !! I have been here few times and they are really genuine and helpful for all the auto service like oil change, smog check & other auto repairs.I would highly recommended this place.

I gave my suv to my niece as a gift so she went there for a smog the visual inspection failed because he said the converter was modified /bad. The emissions test passed very cleanHe said I can replace the converter for you .This same guy smog this suv last April and everything was good.This guy is also rude and easily gets angry quick . Went to another smog shop ,technician check converter and everything was good no problem to the converter got my smog certificate.This person was trying to scam my niece for unnecessary repairs.I don t recommend this place he is rude, a liar, and no classService: Auto emissions testing

Don t go here, I started going here because my family would go to them years ago. Recently I had them change out my spark plugs. I started smelling coolant after getting them exchanged. Within a month I blew a head gasket & you know the rest. Now I have to get a brand new engine. They re very unprofessional here the only reason I dealt with them is & was because my family. If you wanna save some serious money find a better mechanic

The people here are great! i always go here to get my car repaired. They are reliable people that I trust, and always give me a very reasonable price. I've been going to this auto shop for many years, and don't plan on going else where. They turnaround time for fixing my car is always quick and reasonable. Definitely check out this auto shop next time you need somewhere to go.

just took our truck for smog, we took another car before they charged 35$, now they said 32$, i signed his papers that its not readable because very small fonts. they said i need to drive my truck ( F150) 50-60 miles, come back next week! , then they asked me 48$ to pay now and for next time 48$ again!!! that is not normal for any smog shop. then she took my key! its same as stole it. unfortunately i has something to do urgently i i paid. will not go to this shop anymore and suggest you don't do. i normally go to 4299 Peralta Blvd, just some block north of this shop but as it was late evening i wanted to do my smog faster and this guy was open! good to know them. every one around neighborhood told me don't work with this guys.

I won't be going to this repair shop again anytime. The service guy filled up the tire to a whopping 100 psi after fixing my flat tire with a tire plug. Recommend psi is 32-34 for my tires. The technician didnt bother to remedy it, simply asked me to drive away. Next day I ended up going to Firestone to ensure enough air was let out. SYMPTOM - Brake pedal had to be pushed all the way down|| Had a brake fluid leak on my TSX on Aug 25 - technician was able to diagnose the issue to a brake caliper - charged $70 diagnostic fee (you could visually see the fluid leak - No rocket science there) + parts & labor = Total $385.Went back the next Day Aug 26th - as I still had to push brakes way down - slightly better than a day before - but not the way brakes should work - He basically stated that you need to change master cylinder (which was changed 6 months ago ) - so I knew this was a false diagnosis. Basically he did a poor job on the brake caliper installation. Having lost trust - took it to Wheelworks - they immediately said it is the brake caliper (Free of Charge Brake Diagnostics) and possible air leak. They Fixed both issues - brakes working as good as newNever going to Blacow Auto Repair - even if it 50% off - Not worth the waste of time/money/shoddy diagnostics

Come here every 3000 miles for my oil change. Pay $25 and they always get me and get me out quickly. Descent customer service and most of the mechanics overall are pretty good at checking my tires, water, and fluids every time I get an oil change. Will continue to come back.

The lady helping me speaks no English and made it hard for me to understand what she was saying. They make you sit in the sun on foldable iron chairs as you bake outside. Usually smogs take about 5-10 min. This one took about 20 minutes. I failed because of a check engine light and they still charged me and they said they would charge me again if I come back with it fixed. Most places resmog for free. Also, if they knew my check engine light was on... why did they still run the test knowing that s why I was going to fail? Because they knew I would have to pay. They didn t want to save me 40$ today. Don t waste your time here. And they have a baby/toddler running around the mechanic area which is not safe or a healthy environment for a child to be around

Staff members were not present when their hour's sign indicated the store should be open. Once they arrived about 25 minutes later, the service technician did a thorough job on my smog check. Be advised this shop charges extra fees, about 2%, if using a credit card.

I take my car last month for engine oil change but they don't put proper oil in my car engine and this yesterday i take my car again for engine oil change but same happen and same thing yesterday he keeps more then half gallon of oil be careful keep your eyes on your car and you will see by self as me did yesterday and ask them why you keep this oil they don't have answer They are not reliable. Very very careful

I have been getting smogs done here for our family vehicles for years now and recently had a very comprehensive brake job on my Ram 4x4. My vehicles have ALWAYS been done on time or earlier than promised.Thier prices are VERY fair and competitive.

Be careful. I went to replace my left side fog light. Before they start work, I showed them clearly the left fog light is not working, but right is working and two lights are of yellow bobs. They took a hour and told it's electrical problem. Ok, but When I check my right fog light, that's also not working, and left side lamp is been replaced with white one(some dummy, they took original light). When I was asking them, they told, they don't know and avoided me and shouts at me if I ask anything. Such a disgusting people, I don't know how people believe them. I don't recommend any one to visit this place any type of repairs.

Poor services, smog check take long and you can get fail and he will ask you if you want to fix, he can scam you. Have to wait long to get services and no friendly manner.

Experience is not so great. What they say and what they do are totally different. They do good work sometimes but poor communication skills. Neither the shop owner nor the wife try to communicate with the customers clearly. But need to tell that they are expensive compared to other shops. Giving 3 stars because if nobody is around for help, they may be helpful in that case. If you find an alternative better place for help, please go there.Other shops run generally run by caucasian people are very expensive in california sometimes and their attitude could also be not so great.

Great place for smog checks and oil changes. Do some some research and know what oil your car takes, ahead of time. Reasonable prices and faster than the big chain stores.

AVOID THIS PLACE.Went here for a smog test. Could not communicate with the owner as he barely speaked english. Very unorganized. Would not check really anything on the car and straight straight running the car on the dyno after the car had cooled down for 40 minutes. FAILED the car by 1 PPM on the HC at 15 MPH. Was not willing to redo the test and would charge full money for another test.Went to some other location another weekend. Guy check everything and inflated the tires to right pressure as well. Car passed without any problems.These guys are complete shitheads. Were asking me 80 bucks to replace sparks plugs and 50 for redoing the test after it failed. Also, pushed the car out of the dyno and ran inside to pull the handbrakes will the car was rolling to the street. Very unprofessional , couldve just driven the car out from the dyno.I would avoid this place.

Avoid this auto shop at all cost. They are good for only oil changes and smog checks. If you have a problem passing smog do not get your car repaired at that shop. Go to another shop and get your car smogged.

I will never take a vehicle here ever again. The guy that did my smoggs realized that I needed a special sticker for the cold air intake and didn't even tell me. They just wanted to charge me twice.

Very bad service, the older guy among the group is very greedy and rip you off. They want cash money for services and not easily accept debit or credit cards. They keep insisting that you should pay in cash. The oil filter that I had bought 5.99 from Auto Zone previous time, they charged me almost 13 dollars.
