I love coming here for my car maintenance and fixing. They provide me fair pricing for good quality work and parts. They also let me come for walk in/emergency maintenance and they accommodated what my car needed at the same day. Thanks Alan and Denice!

My whole family has been coming here for years. They've worked on every vehicle I've had. Always gets the job done right and in a timely manner. Al is also very nice and respectful. When a business has customers that are loyal to their shop, you know they're doing something right. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.

I have Alan for a long time and every time I come in he is smiling and cracking a joke. He recently had a muffler issue his staff took care of it and I walked very happy. Wonderful experience with a kind and warm staff.

A repair shop that can't be matched. Between the cost of repairs, to the combined years of experience between the three techs they have. An honest shop that can perform any repair on any make. Want to add a final respect to one of American Automotives long time mechanics. Will worked here for Allen many, many years. Will passed away some months ago. American Automotive will deeply miss Wills expertise and character. However the shop will continue to grow and thrive with some young bucks taking the helm. REST IN PEACE WILL.

They did a great job replacing the catalytic converters but there was some miscommunication. They said they would notify me by end of the day on the estimate and never heard back so be sure to followup if you don't hear back within the time frame they gave.

I had them do exhaust on my first car 10 years ago and they did a great job for a fair price. This time, I was having them do a simpler exhaust system. I was charged more than 500$ for them to unbolt my muffler and weld on a 200$ Muffler. If I loved the sound then it would be ok but it sounds really bad. I did some research and it says online that a chambered muffler shouldn t be used with a turbo so now I feel like I need to replace the muffler again to protect my engine and have the vehicle sound decent.Service: Exhaust

Had a them do muffler jobs for me. One for a 2015 Mustang and the other for a 2007 Corvette. Both jobs were extremely professional. I am really happy with the service and openness of their work.

Great Place, honest people, very good service. I've been coming to this place for almost 7 to 10 years now. In fact i know most of the folks working there. And the main guy, Alan is now my good friend. :-) I blindly trust him for all my Automotive work.

BOY OH BOY AM I STOKED TO WRITE THIS REVIEW.I've been going here since I first got my car. I've got a total of three brake jobs done and one exhaust job. But this is the third strike with this business and they will no longer have my business.The 1st strike was when I got my brakes replaced, found out they didn't replace with OEM pads, but charged me for OEM. I found this out because when paying the dude up front said, "whoever put your pads on last time, put low quality brake pads, we put OEM on for you this time". Guess where I got the replacement done, here. Guess who didn't believe me, them.The 2nd strike was when I got an exhaust done, horrible welding work. Clumps of metal and sharp points everywhere. Never confronted them about this, because the car sounds like, but the job is trash.The 3rd strike is why I'm writing this review. I scheduled an appointment at 11:30am because I had a very busy day in front of me. Dropped off the car and was told they'll let me know what needs to be replaced by the hour. Never got a follow up call within the hour. Followed up after two hours, they still don't know what's wrong with my brake squeal yet. After three hours, they told me my front brakes need to be replaced. Sure, please proceed with the repair. I get back and after I give them my card, I enter my pin and pay, they tell me, "whoever did your brake job last time, forgot brake pad shims. Safety wise is fine, but the noise might occur again in the future". Guess who did the brake job for the LIFE OF MY CAR, THIS BUSINESS. They told me to find the receipt from 1 and 1/2 years ago and they'll cover it. They should wish I found the receipt, because I wouldn't be writing this review.I love supporting local businesses I really do, but this is the last straw. Hold your business accountable and take care of your returning customers. Don't BS me multiple times. I'm over this business and I'm going to do everything I can to stray potential customers away. Thanks for wasting my time, scamming me prior, and for losing parts of my car.Oh yeah, where's my damn wheel lock that I left in the cup holder. Can't find it anywhere in the car.

Have been very happy with the service provided - They service multiple vehicles for me. I have always received fair pricing, and solid information from the staff. They can be busy, so it's best to call for an appointment.

I was 60 miles out of town late on a Friday. My newer late model Infiniti developed a miss. 7 in a row wanted $200 for diagnosis and it's getting late so leave the car overnight. Guarantee reputation must have been apparent, another neighborhood repair shop owner called guarantee and ask them if they can check my car out and help me, and they would stay open late. They said bring it down. Not an easy diagnosis, they found a single-cylinder igniter failed. It cost 80 bucks and they charged me 149 in total. The best repair experience I ever had!!!Now I'm towing my cars from Oakley and Brentwood. I'm on my third car getting the same treatment. Now I won't go anywhere else

I have had some service done here in the past and they seemed honest and fair.So I brought my car in for a brake job. I called in the afternoon and they said my car is ready for pick up. I picked up the car and they handed me an 813.00$ bill for new brakes, rotors, pads.They NEVER told me, called me or asked my permission or gave me an estimate or anything. They just went ahead and did it without my permission. This is against the law. The bill was not itemized and the lady was watching to see what I would say. I was in shock so she said, free lifetime pads.Why would I ever come back to this unethical mechanic ??PLEASE don't go here, they will rip you off big time, the first chance they get.

I have placed orders with American Automotive twice, and they keep canceling my order. I emailed them asking why. but they won't give me a reason. I give up with them. Moving on.

I had to get my brakes fixed.I have to admit at first I wasn't that happy.After taking the car back, they realized immediately what was wrong and fixed it on the spot.The called me back to chk that everything was working accordingly.I was very impreased how they handled the situation.Its hard to find a trusting automotive place.I FEEL AMERICAN AUTOMOTIVE OF FREMONT IS A TRUSTING PLACE.I will return there for all mybauto needs. This shop is quick, honest, and reliable. We've had our vehicles serviced here many times and haven't had anything to complain about.If you are looking for fancy, not the shop for you.

Love this place! Alan & staff are top notch, they can fix everything on a car except body work. I take all 4 of our vehicles there. Affordable and friendly!

I've known Allen for tueni some odd years and I would not get my car fixed at his shop guarantee mufflers and breaks I mean what is it now American automotive whatever different name same I don't know what you wanna call it but it's not quality it's why it's competitive pricing

Customer service wasn't too good not a lot of info and communication.. I left my car there for 4 days til it was finally checked then on top of that they tried to focus on other parts instead of what I needed done plus $350 extra for a diagnostic that would take 3Hrs.

It's still guaranteed muffler and brake Guaranteed you bring your car back 2 or 3 times for the same thing Only one technician that knows what hes doing And the lazy guy at the counter hes no help he doesn't know anything All he has is excuses I knew this guy once its name was Well we'll call him skip Needed some work Done on his car And the owner the bragging how great they are Does not know anything about cars Or is too lazy to do some research Well I will be going to American guaranteed mufflers whatever you wanna call yourself you still the same place

It will run for American foreign Auto I don't know where I would be right now these guys know they stuff they worked on all my cars and each one of them are still running today again there are awesome team and I wouldn't recommend anyone not to go to them but to go and find out just how great they are Eduardo and his team again has my family as saying they wouldn't go anywhere else but to foreign Auto this is me speaking for myself and my family and for American foreign Auto you guys are the greatest thank you

Got a tune up, muffler work and other stuff done here. The guys here perform quality work and I recommend them to anyone .
