Excellent Service. I love that I don't have to get out of the car and the technicians are polite, clean fast and well trained and know their jobs and where parts are in each vehicle.I had one fairly new technician and an experienced one came over and showed him how to check lights under my dash... They also checked my tire pressure which i really appreciate.

Amazing quick service oil change & awesome customer service too!! I needed a quick oil change & was not near my normal spot. I am happy I found this place. I was in an out super quick, they checked everything & were very personalized in the care of my car. Definitely recommend if you want a quick in & out oil change

We run a company fleet of security patrol cars and service was always good. Unfortunately, my employee who frequents the location visited recently and was told after service was already completed that they would no longer accept the company card via manual entry due to security reasons. Considering we're in the security business, I understand and support the policy but I'd never provide service to a customer and only after refuse the pre-existing payment method. Poor customer service.

We took our 26ft class c RV in for an oil change and had a great experience. The techs were amazing and completely unfazed by our large size. They guided us in and out easily, with fabulous, friendly, and quick service. This will definitely be our new go-to for future oil changes.

I bought a groupon for this place, and when we got there, I was all, "this is going to take forever..." with the line I saw. BUT, it was ultra fast! They got our info, moved the cars into lines for quick servicing... Walked us right through it. Also, they mean what they say when they say you don't have to leave your car. We never stepped out of the vehicle, and it was super fast. Would use again.

If you care about the treatment and condition of your vehicles, absolutely avoid this place!! I had used this location for years on several of my vehicles, always leaving happy with the service and timeframes.Today, 3/11/22, I took a vehicle in for a basic oil change, nothing more. During the oil change (after showing me my air filter) I noticed two technicians at the front of the vehicle discussing something. The lead technician said something along the lines of "It looks fine to me." I didn't take notice of this at the time, and happily paid. As I left, I noticed a significant increase in intake noise, as if the air intake was open. As I pulled over, sure enough, the intake was open. The technicians had incorrectly installed the air filter, and after doing so and trying to install the cover using brute force, stripped 2 of the air filter cover screws, and cracking one of the threaded holes on the bottom of the air cleaner housing.I attached a few pictures showing the damage when I discovered it, and one from this evening showing the incorrectly installed air filter (tab at 2 o'clock position, not 6 o'clock.) Both driver side cover screws were not even in the air cleaner housing!While this part is not particularly important, this type of negligence is very indicative of the quality of work performed by this shop. If they don't care enough to properly install an air filter cover, I absolutely do not trust them with anything else. There are better places that perform far better work for cheaper. I suggest using them. I will be pursuing a chargeback with their corporate offices for the amount of a new air cleaner housing to repair the damage they did. It is absolutely unacceptable to acknowledge a problem with their work between employees, not inform the customer, and allow them to drive off potentially damaging their vehicle.

No one likes to deal with the stresses of car maintenance but today I had a great experience at this location. The rep talked with me the whole time and made me laugh after I told her I was having some anxiety. She was so kind, empathic, and professional the entire time. Thank you, Kimori!

Took over an hour for an oil change even though there were empty bays and no wait to be seen. Additionally, I agreed to have my rear blinker light changed. It was my understanding they would simultaneously do this and the oil change. AFTER, my oil change they mistakenly changed the break light and not the blinker light. Instead of fixing it and sending me on my way, they decided to start on a different car and not help me. After waiting over an hour for an oil change I requested they let me leave and cancel the light change. I understand people are understaffed but at least continue with the customer that has been there way too long already and was there first! I watched multiple cars arrive after me and those same cars leave before me.

Was just going in for an oil change originaly but was offered a radiator flush and rear differential fluid change. Opted for both figured it would be good to get it done since it was due. Finnished after about an hour half waiting half the work. Then drive away after and as soon as I get down the hill to east bidwell check engine light comes on and my car is hardly able to get power to the tires.I took it back to the shop and they find out they put the wrong coolant in and didnt carry the right kind its a chevy so dexos which it says right on the cap. They do that and a bunch of other shoddy stuff trying to "fix it". Check engine light would go off when they reset it but come back on every time I turned the car off then back on still weak power hard to accelerate. Took it to the dealer the next day bad ecm 1200 dollars later its finally working not sure if it was them but Im sure not chancing it.

Update: Still great service in 2023!------This was my first time at Valvoline Instant Oil Change, and I'll definitely be back. Everyone was professional and courteous, and they explained each step of the process. I was able to drive directly into the service bay and stay inside my car the entire time the team changed my oil, rotated my tires, and did other checks and routine maintenance. I'm extremely impressed with the quality of service.

I was very happy with your employees and overall experience at your Folsom location. Right after I left I was going to share my positive feedback. Compared to other companies I felt your company saved me time , pricing was good and overall experience was amazing. I was the first car. A technician asked me to move to get in another line to trade places with another waiting vehicle which arrived maybe 15 minutes after me. I did. As soon as I did, the car I traded with drove up into the pit. Maybe it was an accident but I sat for an hour while three other cars that were there after me got helped first.It took 2 hours

I drive a lot and have had my oil changed here several times. Unfortunately, I've had issues the last two times I've been here. The first time, they did not seal something up correctly and I had a huge leak. I brought it back and they fixed it promptly. It was an inconvenense but not a huge problem- it was an honest mistake.I brought my car back for a routine oil change today and they told me they couldn't do it (this was AFTER waiting in the bay for approx 15-20 minutes) because the clips and screws holding the skid plate in place were stripped. So my two options were to have them remove the clips and screws (by breaking them as there was no easy way to get them off) and drive around with no skid plate, or a refund. Disappointing because the last people to work in that area were these guys. So I suspect they messed up the clips and screws when they did my last oil change.Just a bummer because this place was always really convenient to stop by when I was heading home from work. Staff is friendly and proces reasonable but this is the second issue I've had here so I won't be back :(

Celeste went out of her way to stay late because my car that was just serviced there had some issues. All the employees were very professional and answered all my questions. It turned out a hose had come loose causing more air, which eventually rendered my car inoperable. They got it fixed and is working just fine.

Not the optimal experience. Was told it would be 30 minutes but within 10 minutes 3 cars that arrived after me were pulled into open bays and had their oil changed. I wouldnt come back.

Best auto service I have ever received thanks to Matthew, Charlie and the entire team at Valvoline Instant Oil Change on Cavitt Drive in Folsom. First time customer and first time any automotive service company including the manufacturer dealership has requested to inspect and subsequently changed out my cabin filter. It was filthy. This place operates like a well oiled (excuse the pun) machine. I would recommend this excellent franchise all day long. :-)Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

It s not 15 mins at all. Best maybe 30 mins. This place has good oil. Besides that the experience is always a struggle. The staff here are not trained at all. They do not know where things are located or what they take. The computer is supposed to show them. They have multiple people upstairs standing around while the downstairs is empty and takes forever just to get your skid plate and filter out. Literally 4 people standing around topside while the people below are struggling to keep up. Whoever is management here needs to be fired as from the other reviews. A place is only as good as the management is. This place it s terrible.

Great service! Very professional and friendly staff at this location and they got my oil changed in less than 20 minutes. Very convenient too especially if you got kids in the car because you stay in your car the entire time they change your oil.

I love, love, love this place! I recently went in to have my oil changed and was told I still have many more miles before I need to get it done, offering a quality check instead. (David) is AMAZING! I've been blessed with him as a tech two times in a row now... top notch, very personable (HONEST) employee. I will not go anywhere else if I have this store available. It's that good. I ve come in here several times for oil service and it s all seemingly ok. This last time, a week after my oil change, I m at the car dealer with an oil leak. The verdict was the oil change tech installed two washers on my drain plug. This got my car pretty low on oil and could have destroyed it. I will not return here. I do not suggest this place. The kids doing the oil changes are inexperienced and almost ruined my still under warranty car. Seek a professional shop.
