I've taken 2 cars here so far and I'm always impressed. I just had a battery and brake issue and couldn't find a mechanic available on short notice (everyone either didn't answer their phone or had to wait 1 week for an appt). I called village smog at 11 am and couldn't believe they were willing to take a look today and even promised to have it done by 5pm. When I informed them i had to pick up a kid from school at 3pm and it was hard to find someone to pick them up for me, they said it would be done by then and it was! Picked my car around 2pm. They had not only tested my battery (and printed a test receipt showing actual voltage of my battery), replaced both brakes and resurfaced my rotors, Tenoch explained why my brakes were making a loud screeching noise (some emergency tab they come with letting you know to replace them). I never knew this and most mechanics don't explain things at all. I have to say the best thing about this place is the amazing communication and respectful mechanic (some can just be so rude and unwilling to explain anything) so it's always a pleasure to speak to Tenoch about any issue I am having. Another bonus is that they are right next to Hearth cafe and I get to enjoy a latte and read a book while I wait (or I can walk home if it takes longer). They don't try to rip you off because one time I had a power steering leak after a different place repaired it, and I was told to take my back to where I had it repaired last time in case that part was under warranty or the original mechanic was willing to redo the work. The best thing is that they are usually available the same day even though they are always busy.

The owner Jose is great! I took in my car last minute for a new AC filter and he was able to squeeze me in a timely manner. I appreciate that! A great small family business to support!

The owner, Juan, is a good man who does his best to offer quality workmanship at competitive prices. He works hard and often mentions he puts in more hours than he is paid for when it comes to troubleshooting difficult problems because he doesn't want to charge the customer too much. I was satisfied with their workmanship and would use them again.

Quick...professional...did what they were expected to do....the wait was short, so I inquired if they could also do a lube, oil, & filter change...And they did in the amount of time expected and at a nominal charge for the service. No hassle...friendly....competent. Bring a book, but you won't get too much read before they complete their service.

This place is awesome. I am a mechanic by trade and certain jobs that require an expertise in that field (smog and tuning) . this place is honest eficient and they do the job as quoated. No bells or whistles or gimmicks . best bet for Fallbrook periods. If you look at alot of my other reviews I donot often hand out 5 reviews

This place is the best place to take your car..prices are reasonable the owner jose is certified and knows his trade..he is an expert mechanic who you can trust . Your car is in the best hands..honest shop..no bull..
