I am so impressed by this company. I had my dodge truck at the dealer for 6 weeks and with nothing done. So when I brought my truck to Midway they had amazing service. They fixed my truck in 1 day. They put in a new catalytic converter. Seriously professional and service was 5 star. We will definitely be using them from now on.Thanks to Ryan for keeping me updated and in the know about my truck. Thanks

I just purchased a vehicle that was exclusively serviced at Midway Automotive from about 50k miles to 200k miles over the past six years. I have many of the service records from the previous owner and I have the carfax to show there were no other shops working on the vehicle during that time.Servicing the vehicle since 4/10/14, 53943 miles. The vehicle now has 202,000 miles. The following is based on the damage I saw to the vehicle and will be supported with pictures. (pictures posted but delayed by Google for some reason)The mechanic work is very shoddy. Below is a partial list of damage to the vehicle apparently done by Midway Automotive. I believe I will find more issues the more familiar I get with the vehicle. Some of this damage could reach well into the thousands of dollars to repair. Since Midway has been servicing the vehicle for the past 150,000 miles, it is assumed most if not all of this was done there. Cosmetically, the vehicle was impeccable and can be assumed the owner did not do any of this damage. because he took it to Midway for all repairs and service.Broken wires, O2 sensor failure. This had to happen since the last smog check (2019). Somebody must have dropped something on this wire harness during an unrelated repair. It's a real pain in the a$$ trying to repair such horribly damaged wires. Hint: next time please damage the wires further away from the connector so it's easier to repair, or better yet, try not screwing wires up in the first place!See picture 1.This was causing the O2 sensor engine light. Therefore the vehicle could not be smogged. After I fixed this and got the monitors to reset, I went to smog it. Why shouldn't it smog now? Well it didn't and it was because somebody put an incorrect PVC hose in and installed it so it was actually kinked!!See Picture 2.Obviously from the picture, that is not a Porsche OEM hose and those aren't OEM clamps. All in all, it would have been OK if at least it wasn't kinked.Three broken coil bolts!! These small bolts were aluminum or titanium. It's obvious when you handle them. They are not to be torqued until they break off in the valve covers. Now I will have to find new valve covers, or try to extract all of these broken bolts. Expensive and time consuming either way. Rookie stuff, and this was NOT repaired, just given back to the unsuspecting customer.See Picture 3Loose bolts, really? From a professional mechanic?See Picture 4Wrong hardware, on the upper engine torsional support, there was a bunch of Home Depot hardware (this was Grade 5, steel hardware). I assume the mechanic didn't realize that the factory hardware was aluminum and stripped everything out. Here it is with the correct hardware re-installed.See Picture 5.There's a loose nut with a stripped stud on one of the turbos. I can't even imagine how this happened and why something so critical wasn't fixed. NO, this was just returned to the owner and will cost a fortune to fix because that stud is not going to come out easy.See Picture 6.What's really sad is that all of the aforementioned damage was done to the vehicle and NOT fixed before returning the vehicle to owner and the owner was NOT notified that there was damage. It's OK to damage your customer's car while working on it. But it's not OK to leave it like that and return it to them knowing that they probably have never even opened the hood and they won't know. They also informed the previous owner that he would need new struts at the tune of around $8000. I believe this diagnosis was incorrect. I believe the shop did not know that the suspension system needed to be charged with 250 PSI of N2 to get the struts operating correctly again, and therefore gave the customer a false diagnosis. This shows me that either Midway operates in an unethical manner or they have a rogue mechanic who is doing atrocious work and the management has no clue and does not inspect their mechanic's work.I hope you guys will correct this behavior for your future customers.

Although I wasn't able to hite then to repair my daughter's car. Both Brian and Scott were very knowledgeable about her car's situation and gave fatherly advice about how to handle it. I wish my husband did not already take her car to another shop because I felt they were very professional and compassionate. If I have a need for any repairs in the future I would definitely consider this shop first. For female customers who shy away from taking their car to a mechanic out of fear of being taken advantage of, you will not have any issues with Midway. I recommemd them 100%!

(6/16/22)- Visiting family in the Bay Area, our minivan s rear AC stopped blowing cold air. Since our van was purchased from CarMax with MaxCare, I called them first. They informed me that they don t service any vehicle after the 90 day warranty and referred me to repairpal.com , that honors MaxCare. One of the first high rating shops that popped out was Midway and it was about 10min away from my location. I read the reviews and I immediately gave them a call to see if I was able to bring it in. I was able to schedule a time and date which was two days after. Walked in, and I was greeted with friendly faces. Jay was the one that helped me out, he explained what was needed to be done and will give me a call.An hour to two after dropping off the car, Jay called me explaining the problem and the cost for the repair. Literally 1 hour later, he called to say that the vehicle was done and ready to be picked up. Almost a week from now since I picked up the minivan and now back in NV, our AC still blows cold. I will definitely go to them again for any future auto repairs if I m in the area. I highly recommend this place! They have very good customer service, very friendly, the shop looked clean/organized, very knowledgeable and good at explaining the problem and to what they fixed. Lastly, they work pretty fast and made me a very happy customer. Thank you, thank you Jay/Midway Auto&Muffler!

About a year ago I needed a muffler welded on after I cut the old one and used muffler clamps with muffler cement to put on the new one on. I wanted it to be permanent so I called for a quote a man there told me 85 when I finally decided to go they told me it was going to be 200 to 150 to take it of and sand it down to make a clean weld. I m pretty sure the said this after telling me how much work it was going to be to clean it and weld the new muffler. At first I thought it was reasonable because they were professional and respectful, but they lied on the phone about the price because 85$ was the price to cut off the only one and weld a new one on so how was this any different they were going to cut the pipe anyway and weld the new one on so explaining how much work it was going to be to clean it off was bull. I work on my car all the time and have done extensive engine work but I cannot weld or have a welder so 85$ was a great deal. They were simply trying to squeeze every dollar they could out of me because they cut the muffler off anyway added pipe so was was the 200$ estimate for. When the job was done the man who rung me up said I got you right it the middle 175$ which I new was bull but I really just wanted it done already and didn t really care because I respected the men there because I was considering becoming a mechanic myself, but they really just straight up lied to me to get as much money as they could. They seem professional and respectful but it s still a business and they need to make money. I just feel bad for anyone who trusts them to do work on their car and doesn t know anything about what they are doing can get extremely taken advantage of. The did a good job don t get me wrong but they used that to gain my trust and rip me off. I had a good conversation with them but to do rip me off that s really low of them. I trust their work not their word. If you get things done by this place get other opinions from other shops and make sure you know what they are charging you for and why and don t let them make you settle on a estimate high price because they are nice and respectful it s business so have them do the work for a fair price and don t let them rip you off.

Midway always does a great job when I need help with my vehicle. They're interested in doing their best, not trying to overcharge you. They are always upfront with issues they find and cost, and they got the best deal they could on parts when my Fiat needed some work. I had a battery issue that they diagnosed over the phone and helped me get in touch with AAA so I could get help fast instead of having my car towed to their shop. I highly recommend their services!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

I had a broken bolt from exhaust to manifold. I called 3 different automotive repair garages and no one wanted to deal with a broken bolt. I called Midway Automotive, scheduled an appointment to look at the problem and come up with a solution. I brought my car in this morning thinking that after looking at the problem, I would be either told to come back at a later date or they didn't want to remove the broken bolt due to location. I was very surprised when I was told their intention was to fix the car today and offered a ride home so that I would not have to wait around. I was given a price that I was comfortable with. I received a call at 11:00am stating the car was fixed. I went to pick up and the price was a little less than quoted which is always nice. The staff are very up beat and professional. I felt like I was their only customer. It was a pleasure working with Midway Automotive and will not only spread the word among my friends about the great attitude and service but will also bring my car back for any other repair needed.

My wife actually took her car to Midway Automotive first . We had just moved to Fairfield from placer county and was in the process of looking for a new home church , school for our son , you know all the things you need in your life . A good mechanic is definitely on that list . The staff here are fantastic people very professional and very honest the manager Bryan i believe his name is takes the time to make sure you understand exactly what is going on with your vehicle. There is no lack of communication and no grey areas. We both take our vehicles here now and ive recommended it to some of the guys at my work everyone is very happy with the service . The techs and mechanics are top notch and the customer service is excellent. In todays day and age I think that sais ALOT .I definitely recommend this shop!!!

These guys are awesome. Fantastic service and customer service. I was having issue with my ignition, they took care of it in no time. Some how they also fixed the buttons on my radio and I didn't go in for that. They also took my CarMax warranty. I will definitely be going back to them for any future needs.

Installed an aftermarket O2 sensor in about 30 minutes on my Camry Hybrid. Was visiting from out of town, so this was short notice. This is roughly a 3 month review, and so far, it's been solid. These guys are good.

Had the team at Midway help us with the muffler system on our 1970 Monte Carlo, my experience was excellent from begin to end. I was able to tell that the stuff takes pride in their craftsmanship and on their job. I highly recommend Midway Automotive and muffler. Pay them a visit or give them a call for your automotive needs.

Took my 2000 corvette in for a muffler delete. They did it in under an hour and the price was very competitive. It s a hard job because you have to line up both exhaust tips perfectly or it will seem lopsided, but they did it well.

Told me over the phone "exhaust bolts were seized and it took longer than expected, the exhaust system is off the car but repair won't be done until tomorrow". I walked over there to get something out of the car, and surprise-surprise, they haven't even started working on it. I am the kind of person who gets embarrassed seeing others embarrassing themselves, so I didn't make a fuss, I just asked to let me drive my car home and drop it off again the next morning. The man at reception was opposed to that idea, and offered me a "shop car" instead, a burgundy Honda Accord. I thought why not and took it, but something was bothering me. By the time I got home I figured it out - what else was a lie? Maybe this whole $375 "flex pipe" repair was a lie too, and they just didn't want me to get a second opinion. So, here I am, a grown s man, stressing that I might have fallen for the oldest trick in the book. So humiliating.

I drove to west texas street and found this place. It was like a magic those guys fix it in one snap. They don't even charge me any money. Those guys are great.
