This is a bike shop and a restaurant. We consumed food and drinks , there wasn t a single other customer , and they told us we can t have our bikes on the patio. Super rude , just to make a point. You would think they would be friendlier to their main customer base

Super friendly staff with good food and beer. During bike shop hours you can also buy a bike, or get your bike fixed while having a beer. WUT?? You can also bring your laptop and with the free WiFi and large tables.

Chill spot with high quality bikes and brews, the food is delicious, even more so after a long ride. A great local spot, will definitely be back.

Awesome bike shop and cafe. Of course, who really cares about the bike shop when you have that wicked awesome Cuban sandwich being served up from the bar!

Awesome place for a post / mid ride bite. Food was excellent. My buddy had the Greek Salad simple but full of flavor, and I had the Green Goddess cold sandwich.. so bomb.Awesome collection of for sale and rental mountain bikes and a fair priced full service shop.Visit the mountain bike museum after stoping at this perfect Fairfax watering hole.

Purchased a Specialized Kenevo about 3 months ago from Splitrock. This is my 4th emtb. Jason, the owner, and his staff did an excellent job in dialing in the bike to my exact preferences. This was definitely the best emtb purchasing experience I ve ever had by miles!! The staff was happy to go above and beyond in dialing the bike to my exact specs and expeditiously upgraded the forks as I waited in the great shop and enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Splitrock restaurant. On getting the bike, I was able to immediately test ride it on some great trails (classic Marin trails) a short riding distance from the shop. After the maiden run, I enjoyed a cold brew at the Splitrock tap room with some local riders who were as stoked as I was after their trail rides!! Great and rare combination of mtb shop, restaurant, tap room and friendly post ride scene!! I hope to be back soon and feel so fortunate to have the experience I did at Splitrock Tap and Wheel!

Stopped in to check my chain wear and get a price on some service and they quoted me $450 to change pads and my chain which they said was worn and should be replaced. I was surprised because I have about 1600 miles on my bike and this sounded way high to boot. Guy also said I should plan 10% of the cost of my emtb in maintenance a year. So $750/year? I don't think so!!To double check my chain I stopped at another shop on my way home who measured and said my chain wasn t even halfway worn and the pad replacement would be a small fee.I don t trust anyone who would upsell me on service. So hard pass

I was attending a funeral in Marin County and hit this place up afterward with the family for food and drinks. I have to say this is one of the coolest bike shops I have ever visited. The Whyte bikes brand is so amazing. Test rode the G 170 coil 29 works and was blown away. Very friendly staff at this place. These guys were so nice that I want to visit here. Whyte bikes is no joke. Best value and quality for money. Am considering the G 170 works 29 for my next bikes. I ride a large and the G 170 Coil works felt great in a medium and the right size. I like the 820 Race face carbon bars on this bike as well. This bike is work of art and probably the funnest best feeling bike I have ridden ever.

This is my local bike shop, a couple minute bike ride. I have purchased a bike from them and have many services done. Always prompt, friendly, and willing to answer my probably dumb questions. Also, a great place to have a post-ride beer and bite. Love this place.

A great meeting place for friends and family.Bike shop service is top notch, catering to the local high end mountain bike community. Very underwhelmed by the service from the bike shop. I bought a new high-end bike from them and it was assembled extremely poor. More than a dozen bolts were way off rec d torque. If this was sold to a inexperience bike wrench they could have got hurt. Bars and brakes were barely holding on! Brake levers on carbon bars were way over torqued!

Came in looking to get a new tire that I needed to get replaced due to a gash. The two gents were SUPER helpful in telling be awesome tips on what I could do if it ever happened again. With that being said, I bought 2 tubes and the tire for a SUPER reasonable price, which I can't thank them enough for due to the bummy day I had today. Great people, great service and awesome respect. (If they read this post, remember what I told you guys on the discount to you know where!)

If you're into mountain biking and beers, this is a must to add on your list of places to start and end a solid mountain bike ride through Tamarancho. Food is good and there is always a good selection of mountain bikes from other riders to look at. Whyte bikes is also represented at Split Rock. Not every day you see this brand.

Great, I mean the best Mediterranean plate ever! Excellent salads and pizzas. The noise is a bit too much for me, I mean a loud echo chamber. I hope that they figure out how to dampen the noise.

Every town should have such a versatile and friendly place to tune up (or upgrade) a bike, and connect for a beer and community. Split rock is doing it right! Bravo.

The sausage was fine, but the service severely lacking. Never got the water I asked for, and was not given any napkins with my greasy food.

Great cappuccino. Not bitter, just smooth and foamy. It's hard to find coffee that good in Marin.

The shop was incredibly helpful when I visited during a bike tour and needed to borrow a tool that was almost impossible to find. It's a bike shop and a bar, with food... What more could you want?
