Dealing with the service manager Jeff was VERY unpleasant. My car broke down in Eureka on a road trip and so it was towed to this dealership. Jeff had an attitude from our very first encounter. He was not forthcoming with information at all during the entire two month process. Just asking him a question was like asking him for custody of his child! He took pleasure in telling me the car may take months to look at and up to six months to complete the work. It didn't actually take this long, he just enjoys having customers under his thumb. Total control freak. Every interaction with him left me frustrated and in a bad mood. I would avoid this dealership for repairs if at all possible unless you like being toyed with. Absolutely no customer service skills.

The man was very helpful and nice. And best of all, truthful. However I will never have any work done on any car I own. Cost me 2 days wages and cost triple what I was quoted.

I want to like them, but I just had to send them this message on their website:We brought our Sonata in for service in January, and I asked Brent to look at why it was shuddering. Little did I know, he would not do it, and not tell me. When I picked up the car, I asked him about it, and he made it sound like everything was fine. It's been tough to bring it back in , but I made an appointment a few weeks ago to bring it in for service yesterday. Last week, it began shuddering really hard and barely making it up hills. I called, and your receptionist said I needed to make a separate appointment to have them look at the transmission. Well, yesterday I brought it in, and I needed to catch the bus with my 5 year old, and you opened late. I told Jeff we had an appointment next week for them to look at the transmission. Well, this morning it was shuddering terribly, and I called your shop and Jeff told me that not only did Brent not put in the notes to look at why it was shuddering back in January, he lied to me and told me I never told him yesterday when I dropped it off that we had an appointment for the transmission! He then hung up on me.If our transmission is shot, it is because you didn't look at it when I asked you to back in January, when I asked you to. What are you going to do about this?

Great service. They provide free wifi for when you're waiting on your car being serviced, they offer a free car wash after your car has been serviced, they have restrooms that are clean and have coffee and TV in the waiting area. The employees were very friendly and helpful as well.

Buying process was easy. Sales person was patient as we looked at several cars and asked questions. Finance guy explained everything clearly. They don't do a true credit check until you're ready to buy, so no hit to your credit report unless you're serious, which is nice. Bought a new Chevy from them about 7 years ago and they were great then as well. Service department is also friendly.

Having mechanical issues on vehicle that was purchased from them so I called to arrange to drop off but was told they can't even look at it for close to a month. I know in Bidens America businesses are struggling but that's really poor service

I have been a customer for 30 years. Northwood has been a wonderful company to deal with. The staff is very personable and friendly, willing to help in any situation. My experience with them over the years has been outstanding! Always willing to take care of me and the needs of my vehicles. Would recommend them to anyone. Thanks for the ongoing friendly communication and quick timely services. I appreciate it very much.

After searching all over the country for my hybrid plug in, NORTHWOOD Hyundai pulled through for me for the exact car I was looking for, and was delivered within months of ordering it from the dealer. I drove from out of state to even buy the car. It was easy and fast ! Thanks Michael

We've been doing business with Northwood Hyundai (and Chevrolet) since 2005, now driving our third Hyundai Sonata. Their service department is absolutely first-rate, prompt and they get the job done right the first time. Sales and office folks are terrific with absolutely no pressure at all. Of course they want to sell you a car or truck, but their attitude is that most of all they want you to be a happy customer whether or not you buy from them. If they don't have the vehicle what you want in stock they'll find one for you quickly. They "located" our most recent car, in July 2017, while we were chatting, and they brought it from the Bay area early the next afternoon. Excellent an all respects.

I took my car in for an inspection, because I thought something was wrong with my radiator. I do want to say, I'm a woman and I don't know much about cars. I have been taken advantage of at other repair shops who prey on my lack of knowledge. Here, they didn't do that. They did the inspection and told me why i was having that problem. They fixed recalls I didn't know I had on my car. Overall, they weren't trying to sell me superfluous services or things and helped me understand my car without belittling me. The gentlemen at Northwood Hyundai are respectful, thorough, and good technicians.

We just bought our second vehicle in 6 months from Chris Ringler at Northwood and have had the best experience both times. He is knowledgeable, isn t pushy, and very attentive and responsive. The whole staff is great and we have recommended them to multiple family members and friends since our first experience buying from them. Highly recommend Chris and the staff at Northwood!

I have bought 2 used cars from Northwood and both times were a pleasure. They have a great selection of used cars and they are all usually low miles and super clean. JP was a great salesman and took the time to show my wife and I some cars and helped us test drive them. No pressure salesman and Northwood has my business the next time. I am loving my 2013 Camaro SS!

I ll start by saying I ve had no issues with this dealership in the past getting GSA vehicles serviced/repaired.I went in and spoke to an advisor face to face and explained I had a TPMS malfunction indicator on my wife s car (not a pressure issue but a system fault) and needed to schedule a time to bring it in. He did the clicketty clack on his computer while mumbling under his breath something about how I probably don t know how to set tire pressure correctly. He asked if Date/ time worked for me, I said sounds good, see you then. Date/ time arrives and my wife bring in her car. They proceed to tell her she doesn t have an appointment and make her wait 2 hours only to eventually tell her that their diagnostic tool wouldn t connect to her car.

Service team is a good group of guys who are a joy to work with when dealing with maintenance of my vehicle. Definitely worth the drive to Humboldt even though I live in Del Norte County.

Liz was amazing! She immediately came off as friendly, was interested in our needs, and didn't pressure us into uncomfortable situations. We went there originally to look at a used Chevy, but ended up test driving a newer Hyundai Tucson that I fell in love with. She was patient, and didn't leave our side during negotiations. This was, by far, our best buying experience yet! It was great to have an empowered and knowledgable woman at a car dealership.

Northwood Hyundai has been awesome...from the purchase of my car through all of the warranty maintenance visits.The service department also serviced my previous 16 year old Sonata!If you are looking for a Chevrolet or a Hyundai vehicle - definitely visit our local dealer-they are great!

Will not go through these guys again. I bought a Hyundai under warranty and it has some issues. I took it in and these guys made me feel stupid...still couldn't get them to look at the car. Had to take it back to dealer I bought it from. The dealer I bought it from took it to these guys and they didn't want to mess with it because they don't get paid as much to work on a car under warranty. Never will use these guys.

They do my oil changes since I purchased my Hyundai in 2021. Generally have appointments available within the week. Free car wash with service.

The sales men that helped me today were really friendly I walked in exspecting a quote or get turned down but we went home in a brand new car it went real smooth I defenintly will be coming back when I get the chance I highly recommend this dealership if you are a first time car buyer they will help you get in a nice car with cheap payments

Drove 5 hrs to purchase a vehicle and left empty handed! No one there was interested in selling a car to someone that was preapproved for an auto loan. I was there for 3hrs for absolutely nothing!

Went for an oil change and tire rotation. Service was relatively expedient and the price was reasonable for services offered.The staff was courteous and pleasant.

We bought a Hyundae Elanta today this is our 2nd Hyundae our 1st one was a Sonata,and we will never buy anything else.The sales person,Chris was very professional and friendly,except for all the paperwork that needed to be signed,our experience was amazing.
