Recently, I purchased some audio frog speakers from Neil and they were great. They offered a high quality sound which I was very pleased with. I was looking for some more bass that wouldn't break the bank; therefore, I went ahead and added a subwoofer. I am very pleased with the quality of the stereo system in my vehicle. Neil made this process very easy and laid out multiple options for me. He even went out of his way to email me on his day off which I super appreciate of him. Neil is a person who truly cares about his customers and their satisfaction. With that said, I would recommend Neil for any of your specialty sound needs.

I have been using Neil for all my stereo needs for the last 15-20 years and he has always been really good to me and does excellent work. I highly recommend him. At this point I wouldn t take my truck anywhere else.

I had work done in my personal vehicle. Overall the experience was refreshing, I felt that my needs were heard and I was given a few different options to satisfy my needs (Good, Better, Best). I didn't feel upsold, the communication and explanation of different components was great, and overall the work done has held up solid for a year now. I will be going back to Neils for any future audio needs.

Came to Neil's to get a remote starter installed in my car. During installation, Neil found that my emergency brake line was damaged and replaced it for me. I am very satisfied with the work he has done and recommend him for your electronic needs

Just had my stereo and sub put in and it sounds Amazing! Neil is very professional and relatively inexpensive compared to some of the other shops around here. He's a really nice guy and he even dropped me off at my house when I dropped my car off. I will definitely be coming back here in the future for all my car stereo needs.

Short Version: Neil is an awesome person, has great customer service, and his work is wonderful.Long Version: I had issues with a alarm system and speaker system on a vehicle I had bought recently. I called Neil and explained the situation, he explained to me how his pricing works and invited me to make an appointment. Neil worked on my vehicle giving me a step by step explanation of what he needed to do and asked for permission before increasing the price. He did more than I asked for (in a good way). I would say the number one attribute that will keep me going to Neil's Specialty Sound is that he was genuine.

The work I had performed by Neil's Specialty Sound was by far my best experience in over a decade of upgrading car stereos. He was very friendly, knowledgable, communicative, and did exactly what I wanted for a better price than what the other local shops quoted me. When I brought in my sub, amp, and wiring kit, Neil advised me on the limitations of the setup, and suggested additional sound deadening and an insulating spacer ring between the sub and grille. He easily hid all the wiring and amp behind the carpeting, and didn't upsell me on additional pieces when my current head unit hit the bass levels I was after. Long story short, Neil is a true professional and I would recommend his services to anyone!

Neil has put in two systems in my vehicles and I couldn t be happier with them & him! Great guy just doing something he enjoys. He puts a lot of time into making his customers super satisfied! The current system I have now is AMAZING! Iv been told riding in my car sounds like a concert. && if your driving back roads all day long he bolts the whole system in with super solid bolts and screws so there s no way to rattle your system loose, cuz I did that in my first vehicle. All around hooks you up to your needs and wants! Show some love and get a dope system in your vehicle/boat/ side by side, whatever it is.. he can and will do it better than most! No doubt lives by his business name, Neil s SPECIALTY sound! Not to mention, I usually let him pick most of my system out because he gets to know his customers and the type of music they listen too! Not every system is for every type of music. Great to do business with!

Neil installed a set of components in the doors/dash and a pair 6x9 s in the back deck of my 2018 Altima. He is Knowledgeable when it comes to sound acoustics, I know it s my background. He took his time and did a great job. I highly recommend Neil for your car audio install needs.

Neil is one of a kind!He has help with every stereo I have done to every car I've owned. I have even left a few competitions with trophies and I own it to Neil. He is very knowalage and very friendly w/great customer service.I have always recommended him and I always will!

Neil is great! We purchased a truck with an older audio system that was cumbersome to use. We also wanted the back-up camera screen moved from our rear view mirror to the audio system screen. Neil installed a new system, moved the back-up camera screen and walked us through using our new system. Super customer service. Thank you Neil - you're our go to audio guy from now on!

Simply outstanding. The work was completed on time and for less than the quoted price. I was informed throughout the process exactly what to expect. As always the installation was performed at the highest standard with no corners cut. Regardless of your budget, from a simple upgrade to a complete custom Neil is the only call you need to make!LM

My husband dropped his vehicle off to this shop only to get it back with broken trim pieces that they tried to fix so that my husband would not notice. The one pillar trim piece was not locked in all the way. There are scratches like someone used a flat head to pry them off. Dirty finger prints everywhere. He was quoted a price before dropping off and upon pick up was notified that the bill was double what they quoted him. They did not tell him that over the phone, they waited until he showed up to pick up my vehicle. Stay away!

Hands down the most honest stereo shop in town. Other places (not naming names but anyone in the beat game knows the options) have their best interest in mind. Neil has your best interest in mind. I ll never go to another sound shop in humboldt county. Very professional, honest, and fair.

Went here to fix a raddle I was hearing in my car with my subs and was given a appointment the same week!! Neil helped me out and careful and fully examined my car and found the source of the problem and now my car sounds better than it ever did. Will definitely be back!! Thanks Neil!

Went in for a stereo fix and he took less than 10 minutes. Very fast and very friendly. Definitely knows what he s doing. And it s very affordable. Definitely my go to for stereo problems.
