Fred's did a superb job of repairing the damage a tree had done to our car. Impossible to tell where the tree hit the car! And, just to top it all off, they washed the car and vacuumed the inside.Claudia Brugaletta

This shop is super accommodating, and cares about the customer's time. Very helpful front staff and team who will get your car back to you in great condition.I had work and they were very helpful in giving me a ride to where I needed to be and bringing my car to me as to make it more convenient. I trust and respect this shop and my eyes are open to a new level of customer service I haven't experienced before. I have so much gratitude for every member I encountered.

These guys are awesome! They worked with us on paying our deductible, called to inform us about hidden damage-no extra fees and detailed our car too! Color matched the platinum paint, cant tell its ever been wrecked! Lifetime guarantee their work too!

They've helped us a lot with our car, which was in an accident, and they advised us that AAA insurance will only pay for 30 days of a rental car, which may not be long enough for the repairs, so we're spacing out our rental coverage (don't go with Hertz, they will rip you off) so we can have a car when we really need it. Thank you, Fred's!

So, my poor car sunroof exploded on the freeway, after many attempts to find a shop, I was finally directed to Fred s. Hoping to get the repair done quickly as the rains have come, I was pleasantly surprised by their professionalism, kindness, and willingness to do the work. Now, I have a brand new sunroof (complete assembly) and ... I m so thrilled!! It cost only a few dollars more than my deductible. Fast, reliable, responsible, courteous service with a smile

Beautiful work. My car looked great when picking it up and the staff was kind enough to even detail it, pretty over the top. I was kept up to date on the work being done through text and phone calls. This made my feel like my car was in good hands. Very friendly people.

Awesome body shop. Had a guy hit the rear fender of my new truck. The staff at freds made it easy to get it in and taken care of. They worked directly with my insurance company and had my truck in and out in less then three days. I would recommend them to anyone!

When my wife's Audi was nearly totaled by an idiot in Arcata smashing into it we immediate took it to Fred's Body shop. We worked with Mike, and while the car took a while to repair (primarily owing to my debating with the insurance company) the work that the guys down here did was top notch.They not only went way above and beyond helping us find the proper parts to fit in the vehicle, but helped us out with our insurance company over and over again. Absolutely brilliant service, and fantastic body work. The car looked even better than the day we had purchased it after they did their work. We've had our car now for the past four months and it's just glossy smooth without any errors or issues from any repairs done by Fred's Body Shop.I would highly recommend their service, and if ever I need more body work done I know exactly where I'm going to go.

Not very professional. At first they really tried, were quick, and found the needed part that arrived sooner than expected. Once I picked my car up though I noticed the whole area they had worked in was left dirty. The seat, floor, and door had a chalky substance all over they didn't bother to clean up, and my car was very clean since I had detailed it recently, not sure how they could miss it.

I pulled my back bumper out of its bracket a little, and wasn't sure what it would cost to fix as it was my first time damaging a car. I went in to get a quote and they just popped it back in, no charge. The lady I talked to also told me about the bracket which had been damaged, what it would cost to replace it if I wanted to, and what effect it would have, if any, if I didn't. The whole thing took about five minutes, despite the shop being very busy that day. Thank you!

I cant believe the service at Freds!! Plain and simple " absolutely above and beyond". Mike and his coworkers at Freds showed so much respect for me and my vehicle that i was astounded. They went over the extra mile for me without extra cost and really earned my respect. They did excellent work and saved me 100's and 100's of dollars. Thank you so much!

In mid-July of this year, my 2014 silver Mazda3 was rear-ended by a crazy lady who obviously was not paying attention. By the way, I cannot believe how impatient so many Eureka residents are when they drive! It will not take you more than 30 minutes to get from the north end of town to the south end! Needless to say, my husband looked around for notable shops and was recommended to Fred's by our neighbor. What a mistake it was. Our car was finally taken in for repair in mid-August (understandable considering they were busy) and it took them only a week to finish the repair. Why did it take them only a week? BECAUSE THEY DID A HALF-ASSED JOB AND RUSHED THINGS JUST SO THEY CAN MAKE MORE MONEY BY ACCEPTING MORE CARS. We were given a call that our car can be picked up on a Friday at 5, so my husband and I stopped by after work to pick up my car. Given the time, we were in a hurry since our daughter needed to be picked up from school. Additionally, as the sun was setting we were unable to make a thorough inspection. Even so, we in fact noticed that the inside of our meticulously clean 2014 Mazda3 (with only 8,500 miles) was covered in a white powder and smelled strongly of a foul chemical scent that was rather overpowering and nauseating. My husband assured me that the smell would go away and he would clean the inside for me so we took the keys and left Fred's, less than satisfied but glad we had my car back.The following day, we noticed that the bumper did not line up well with the rest of the car. In fact, an uneven gap was quite noticeable between the frame and the left end of the bumper. As if to add insult to injury, our headliner was riddled with black fingerprints and we were missing a few pieces from our car: A rubber grommet to keep the trunk hinge from hitting the frame, some trim retainers, and the inner trunk light cover. Furthermore, the Mazda3 emblem was obviously mis-aligned and the inner trunk handle was re-installed backwards. The final insult was the seemingly cheap paint job: After a month of driving, we have already noticed minor scuff marks and chipped paint in the area that was repainted (and this is just driving around in town).Believe me, I wanted to return to Fred's and give them my two cents, but my husband told me to drop it. Well, this is what we get for putting our faith in Fred's Body Shop. You folks making the claim of "pre-collision condition" for your repairs is actually a joke and an insult. You get two stars for the good paint match and efficiency, but it all came at a cost to us. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND YOUR ESTABLISHMENT TO ANYONE ELSE.P.S. I am fairly certain that you would remember our car and my husband, whom tried his best to be polite and appreciative throughout the entire experience. You should be ashamed of yourselves for flaunting your so-called "10+ years of experience" around yet underperform in such an insulating manner.

Took my car in for an estimate and they spent an hour taking pictures and filling out multiple forms for insurance, making me late for work. 8 days later when I was ready to proceed with the work they stated they needed to take pictures again and get all the info again. When I asked why they didn't have the pics and information from before he said it was over a month ago. No, it was only 8 days. I went in again to fill out the forms and take the pictures and afterwards they said they wouldn't do the work!Worst experience with mechanics ever!!

My 60 year old husband got in a fender bender with these young guys. He has high blood pressure and emphysema. They watched him push his car out of the illegal zone without offering to help him. I am not sure how their body work skills are but I judge a business by their humanity and I saw none here. I will never take my car here and I wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. If you want business you should treat people decently.

Took my car for an estimate to pain the fender flear and put it in: it cost $1155 which is way too expensive! So I took it to rosswood body shop and only cost $475 for the pain and put it in. What y all think about this place?
