We went to Bill when our VW van had some troubles on our road trip this summer. Bill was eager to help us and admitted early that he wasn t the one able to solve our issue (alternator issue on a Friday), but knew who in town could help us out. Back in 1996, Bill taught me how to adjust my valves on a 69 VW bus. Thanks Bill, I have fondly talked about how you taught me for the price of a valve adjustment, never had to pay again. Bill not only helped us out by phone, but helped us get our Vanagan back on the road after we brought it into his shop. He recommended a nearby motel and had our van running by noon the next day. For all his trouble and help he charged us almost nothing!! We are in his debt!

I won't be recommending the VW bug repair guy Bill anytime soon. Super nice guy, however, he replaced a gasket on my gas tank with the wrong gasket and gas was * pouring * out into my front trunk. I drove it around like that for two weeks before I noticed. One spark and the entire thing would have blown up. I wish him well, but I had to post this for others who might consider using his services.

He could not fix our problem, however, he was a great help to find a place where they could help us. We only can highly recommend Bill if you have a problem with an european built Volkswagen.

Pertaining to the Elias Fenn post. Looking back on my records, I have no knowledge of ever working on this car and most certainly wouldnt send a customer out with a leaking gas tank. It is strange that Elias said he drove around for more than a week with gas *pouring into his trunk compartment* and never told anyone about the problem. This is a fabricated complaint by someone I dont even know.
