Very cute motel! I stopped here with my family and stayed in a two queen room. Check in was great, the guy at the desk was very friendly and informative. The room itself was spacious and very clean. I had no issues with the room and WiFi worked just fine. A hot breakfast was included and I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of items. I would stay again in a heartbeat!

We are on road trip with our 2 older children. We pulled into Eureka and found this Best Western, hoping they had availability. They did! The front desk greeter, James, was super polite, helpful, and positive, even though it was 9pm. The room was clean and functional. The continental breakfast was very good, and included something for everyone. Would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

This is a nice motel, the room clean and quiet overnight. The staff was very kind and accommodating. My only compliant is that housekeeping didn't check the paper levels, as we had 1 tissue left in the box and a roll of toilet paper that had maybe 4 squares left on it. If we ever find ourselves back in Eureka, we would most certainly stay here again.

All of the staff were very nice. The hot tub was not open for most of the morning, and when it finally opened it was lukewarm (because of a power outage the night before so it was reheating). The building is close to the highway so the cars are loud. The room smelled fresh and the mini fridge was spacious. 4/5 would stay again, def was hoping to use the hot tub but I imagine it s generally in service? Would love to see more low carb options at breakfast for people with diabetes.. like an unsweetened yogurt maybe? Also, it s a cold walk to the outdoor hot tub, so bring a robe if you can fit it in your luggage bc they don t have any

I patronized this hotel in February I believe it was the 17th or 18th; The room was adequate; smelled nice and clean. The view was okay, there was a propane company outback and another company making noise very late at night next door to that. But yeah you could see the water a little bit. The service was outstanding as there was a semi tractor only in the parking lot running and it smelled plus was noisy. The front desk clerk immediately took care of the situation which provided a better night sleep. The courtyard is very appeasing and tranquil with a special extra delight of frogs and daffodils.I was not a fan of the smell in the elevator nor the entrance to the building I had a room in because it smelled like human urine. You can kind of hear the 101 through reflection noise off the buildings in the back but nothing that is too dramatic or troubling, more like white noise.I felt my car was secure and they said they had patrol out back as well. The buffet breakfast provided very few vegetarian/ vegan options but overall was satisfactory. I was taken aback by all of the prepackaged choices since they are so close to the ocean and in California we pay for plastic bags apparently to keep them out of the ocean yet some businesses don't seem to Get on board with recycling and using more environmentally friendly approaches. I'm sure this hotel is not the only one and I'm sure they have their reasons Why they have certain items on their breakfast menu that are not or don't represent environmentally friendly waste. The windows and door were open in the breakfast room which I found to be rather intrusive to the cold air and rain coming in, again, probably some reason why they do that but I don't know what that is.Overall, this was an enjoyable experience for being a hotel discounting of course the advertised price was not the price I paid nor have I received any invoice via email as promised as of yet.I used to work in this area and remember when this hotel was built, I understand it is a rainy area but I also feel maintenance is crucial to attracting the desirable clientele to a "three-star" hotel.Again the front desk clerks I believe Jeremy and Justin were very helpful and I appreciate their knowledge about where an actual "semi-quiet" room would be.I would like to suggest That maybe it is more environmentally friendly and profitable for the hotel and local businesses of choice just to offer a percentage off a local restaurant that can provide a variety of meals rather than encumbering the cost of overhead correlated to offering so much food to your guests.Perhaps maybe a continental breakfast type arrangement would work better Walkability: This hotel is right by there mall and other local restaurants

Not the best visit this trip, we had a graduation to attend over at Humboldt State (a Poly university now). We've stayed here most visits to Eureka and because of previous commitments we had to book this extra early and unfortunately missed the opportunity to cancel and re-book. We don't usually do this but the original booking was 160$ ave/night and when we were in transit we got offers to re-book for less than 100$ night. I thought that Best Western would price match as regular customers but when we got there the night guy told us he didn't have any authority and tacked on an additional $39/per night fee for a grand total of $200 a night, the place was like Ghost Ship, almost totally empty which is odd on a day that Humboldt State is having graduations. His response to my resistance to paying double the going rate Was Giving me his supervisors business card as he tells she's sick and unavailable.. unsatisfactory to say the least, management should look into this, and they've never tried to set this right. Was this room worth $200/ night? I don't think so the place was under booked, there was parking everywhere ( The source of the claimed $40 extra fee) and I don't think Best Western served us very well. We'll probably stay at the Casino/hotel (better service, better value) just a few minutes south of The Bayshore Best Western. (edit. cut and paste response from corporate didn't help)Rooms: Usually clean but this trip it wasn't the best, see pics of the bathroom

We stayed 9/26-9/29/23 after moving from a hotel with no air conditioning. They knew we had to check out of the other hotel at 11 and requested a room with early check-in. They took our number and said they would call when a room became available but to also call around 230 to check. We called, we stopped by and at 350, finally my husband just went to the front counter and asked (as if he were new) so you guys have any rooms? They said oh yes, we have plenty of rooms he then told them he had been waiting since 11 for a call. The guy said I m sorry. They must not have seen the note so he told them my wife called, I called, I stopped by and there was never a room. The clerk said oh they must have waited for all rooms to be cleaned . So we were literally in the car from 11-4 waiting on EVERY room to be cleaned for check-in at the normal 4 o clock check in. We write that off and then there is an issue with the toilet. The night guy couldn t fix and the morning crew took over 2 hours to fix. Asked for coffee and got tea. Was told oh let me get you some coffee to exchange the tea They couldn t find any kcups so they said I guess they gave you tea because we are out of coffee. No big deal. Stopped a housekeeper and she gave us two coffees. The coffee wasn t a big deal but it was just one thing after the next. They definitely don t go out of their way to call, find coffee or fix a toilet quickly. Just a poor experience all around. The facility itself while older is still nice but customer service needs some help.

Nice place! But a lady at the front desk called Tina was very rude. First we got to the lobby and she was being kinda rude to a guy, then we had a problem and she didn t was nice at all. Plus, she didn t know I speak Spanish so she was speaking in Spanish to the personal and I heard all the bad things she said about us. The rest of the personal was very nice.

So this is a big shout out for the outstanding customer service Zach showed us while checking in. While dealing with hotels it's always a huge long conversation and tons of upsells. But Zach was polite and right to the point, which was an extremely pleasant interaction. He answered all of our questions and gave us a bunch of excellent advice.

Stayed here last night after our car unexpectedly broke down in Eureka. The staff, and I mean ALL the staff, were very professional and extremely kind and went above and beyond the call of duty. Upon arriving late at night we were greeted by James and he was extremely helpful and reassuring the room was PERFECT. We had room 101 and it was three beds and one bed had its own room attached which worked out perfectly for our group which included myself, my two small children and my mother with her dog. We all slept comfortably on the beds and everything was nice in the room. The breakfast was good and had so many options. From waffles to eggs and bacon to oatmeal and cereal we had a feast! The coffee in the lobby is delicious. Just everything about our experience all the way to checkout was wonderful. The woman who helped check us out helped my mom print some papers off we needed before hitting the road. Bottom line THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY IN EUREKA HANDS DOWN.

Beautiful, clean, and comfortable hotel. We stayed two nights in a beautiful room, overlooking the pond with over 100 Koi fish. Don t miss the Koi feeding time at 9 o clock every morning.. Room was clean. The beds were comfortable and triple sheeted. Breakfast was hot. Delicious with many options. Staff was welcoming and friendly. We love the indoor outdoor swimming pool and the two hot tubs . This is our go to hotel in this area.

I have never been spoken to more rudely than I have by the manager Tina when I was with my baby trying to get a room key which she would nt give me with a big attitude , had my partner call and when I went back to get it she slammed it on the table and when I was walking out I turned to say how rude she was and she screamed at me full on screamed that I need to leave and she called the regional manager. No one has ever spoke to me that way especially with my baby with me, it was scary and she's lucky I didn't call the police*UPDATE* 7:50 this morning someone came and aggressively knocked on our door and woke up our baby and when we answered no one was there, It was scary and left immediately after that, I suggest best western to check cameras for Tina harassing guests we were in room 144 happened at 7:50 1/12/24Very unprofessional establishment

We stayed at this hotel for just one night, and it was perfect for our needs. The staff was very accommodating, and the rooms were clean and quiet. The breakfast buffet was gluten-free friendly and served in a quiet atmosphere. My kids loved the koi pond, and there was a pool nearby. Other parts of town looked busier and had more homeless people, but this place was farther away from all of that.Rooms: The rooms were clean and comfortable, with all the essentials provided: coffee, refrigerator, bath, sink, and soaps.Safety: Other parts of town had homeless people and seemed dodgy . This place felt safe and quiet.

The rooms are a bit older, but we were really pleased with the location, staff (shout out to Maggie at the front desk and all of the breakfast ladies!), and the hot tub and pool. The pool finally opened on our last full day there and it was such a treat for the kids. The hot breakfast in the mornings were great and filled us up before our day trips in the region. The trail towards the end of the street (about a block behind the hotel) along the water was actually quite nice and went there several times to take the dog on walks. We will definitely stay here again if we're ever in town.

The rooms were very nice and the did have enough handicapped parking spaces close to our accesible room. The desk clerks were very helpful and the breakfast was varied and very tasty. They had a laundry room, but only with a clapped out washer and dryer. I know it's not a high priority for some travelers, but upgrade to some better models.

Tina is your go to person. Her and Shasta are both top notch at providing not only exceptional customer service, but also making you feel welcomed and like family. Tina worked very diligently to ensure I had a room that would accommodate my needs and provided nothing but a quality experience. Every time I go there I look forward to seeing them and know that the moment I walk through the door I ll be taken care of. If you re staying here make sure that you re working with them. Can t say enough about how well I was taken care of.

The location was really close to the stores. The rooms were clean but the floors were kind of wet, especially at the sink area. We saw a cockroach in our room. Killed it but just knowing that there is one means that there are more. Pool towels needs to be stocked all the time but it wasn t. Every time I took my kids to go swimming, the towels were always out and they will be shivering all the way to the room.

What a beautiful stay at this hotel.Very nice staff n housekeeping. Our room was very clean and organized. The electric log fire place turned on with lights but no heat blew. We were ok as we had the ac/heater that worked good.I had forgot a couple of items and when I called they asked for my address to send them to me. Excellent and honest customer service! Will definitely go again!!

We had stayed at several Best Westerns by this point in our trip and we got upgraded to 3Q suite. The sink was outside the bathroom, and there were 2 Queens in that room and another Queen through a door. There was a broken fan in the small bathroom that was incredibly loud when you turned on the light. It kind of felt like they pawned it off on us when we got upgraded, just to fill the room. It was a nice room, but quite possibly the strangest motel setup I'd ever seen with part of the motel keycard locked. I dont think they had an elevator either. We walked outside to get to the lobby for breakfast. Absolutely excellent breakfast! Smallest pool ever. If more than one family wanted to swim, it would get awkward.
