We broke down saturday while traveling through. Called and met Tony on the phone. He told us to bring it right in. As soon as we arrived they started work on it and i was able to pick up the following morning. Very fast and very fair cost. They saved us for sure. Highly recommend them to anyone needing auto service. Thank You Tony. Very much Appreciated

Talked to Tony about bringing in a used car from a local dealership for a pre-purchase inspection. We were coming in from out of down, and were running a few minutes late. Tony was very understanding and was still able to work with us and get an inspection done on the vehicle. The inspection was thorough and gave us peace of mind with the vehicle we did end up purchasing. Would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone seeking an understanding, competent, and thorough mechanic.Thank you again Tony and Performance Auto!

Tony and his crew always take such good care of their customers. I honestly feel really lucky having a mechanic shop I can trust so nearby where I live. I've been coming here for years and they never fail to be transparent and courteous. Definitely recommend!

I've been getting my somewhat elderly Toyota Camry serviced here for several years now and Performance Auto Care has never let me down. Their prices are fair and I've never had any issues with the work that they do. They're open 7 days a week which is great for customers on a tight schedule. Shout out to Tony who works the front desk - he's always very friendly and does a great job calling to keep me informed about the status of my vehicle.

I've struggled for a long time with different issues on my car. Everything seems to make a sound. I kept getting the run around so I finally took it into Performance Auto. My car has never driven this smooth. I used to not take it far distances because of all the squeaking and rattling. I can make a cross country trip in this baby with zero issues now. The staff were very friendly and explained everything in detail. They worked with me to get exactly what my car needed. My car has never been this happy in it's entire life :)) Thank you!!

The one place that was willing to take me and my car to have oil change done on NYE! This was my first time here and it won t be the last (:Sammy was very accommodating. He was polite and professional. I brought in my own supplies, and even with it being NYE, Sammy and Mark made sure everything finished timely and efficiently. Mark was the technician who worked on my car today. He did a great job!Thank you guys so much Happy New Year!!

Received the dreaded "check engine light" of 10,000 possible problems a few weeks back. My favorite mechanic had closed shop after 15 years of service and, as everyone dreads, finding a new reliable auto shop that won't charge the indentured servitude of your firstborn child for "blinker fluid" is an arduous task.This was my first choice based on the ratings and proximity to my home, and I gave it a chance. They had my car plugged in to the OBD within the hour and identified the issue as a faulty timing mechanism within the solenoid camshaft....fancy way of saying the amount of oil supplied as well as acceleration was being screwed up.They were knowledgeable enough to realize the deficient part had also contaminated my oil supply, and once replaced with the proper solenoid camshaft, they replaced the oil as well.Car runs perfectly now with zero issues, and took less than a day during a weekday in December which, by all standards in San Diego, CA, is absolute anarchy for businesses trying to keep up with customers.Best part was the charge for labor and part was actually agreeable, even with an unforeseen oil change.Terrific group of folks. Would recommend to anyone and will go back for all issues in the future.

I ve been bringing my car here for awhile now and I ve always had great service. Sammy and Tony are great. They do a great job of trying to get service done quickly, and if they re busy they do their best to accommodate. The work is good and the prices are fair. I d recommend bringing your car here for any services needed.Update on review, Sammy is awesome! Got me in last minute today d/t time constraint I had! I used this business because they are in the Costco Auto Program for 15% off parts, service and accessories.They did a great job in servicing my truck, which was a major project. They completed the work in the estimated timeframe and cost. They were very professional throughout the process. I would definitely use them again and would highly recommend them to others. I ve taken my vehicle here 3 times for different reasons and they have always been able to get it done right away and take no more than a day or 2 at most! I had taken it to the dealership before and we left with issues right as we drove off the lot. Tony is awesome and so is his staff! Amazing work!

5 stars! Why? I needed my car serviced asap I was told this place is amazing.Following up with that it is AMAZING!I called and Tony helped me out.He was quick and professional, He was able to help me get my car serviced immediately with no appointment on a busy Saturday afternoon.Upon arrival I was given a few hour wait time but my car got serviced pretty much immediately.If you need your car serviced go here and ask for Tony!

My car was shaking so I got my car towed to Performance. Sammy is really cool, he helped me out and greeted me very kindly. They checked out my car and told me it needed spark plugs. I got the service done with them. Their prices are fair and they got it done in no time. His mechanic Luis and James are very knowledgeable and they both answered questions I asked about my car. I highly recommend. I recently moved to Escondido. It's so important to have a mechanic you trust. I asked a few people looking for recommendations. Sammy with Performance Auto Care was shared and I am so grateful. I will share this with you, if you are looking for someone trustworthy, has great pricing, and who backs their work. I highly recommend Performance Auto Care. I have taken 2 cars and both were fixed quickly and all issues were resolved. I feel safe on the road and Sammy was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable.He didn't overcharge and has excellent communication and customer service. The only warning is they are busy, for obvious reasons, but they do get back and complete the work quickly. I couldn't ask for more and NOW have an Escondido mechanic. Both my husband and I had car issues 1 month apart. After my husband had a great experience, I decided to take my car here as well. Sammy and Tony (and others who s name I do not remember) were all great with each encounter with them. We felt we were in great hands the whole time. The price was very reasonable considering the work that needed to be done. Thanks for the great service! I ve been going to Performance Auto Care ever since I ve moved in the area 10 years ago. To say the service is always outstanding is an understatement. Being a woman going to any auto service establishment, it is always pretty daunting and most times I m expecting to be up sold with products or services you don t necessarily even need, but I was pleasantly surprised. Tony and Sammy specifically are the nicest most friendly staff. Brought my truck in for fuel tank issues, they found another issues and managed to fix quick.Replacing tank took longer than ideal due to parts had to be ordered. We hit a tire on the freeway on our way to our tournament and we weren t sure weather to go back home because we weren t able to keep driving like that, luckily we had performance auto care in Escondido to help us. We are forever grateful for the act of kindness that was given off to us. My recent experience with Performance Auto Care left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this establishment at all costs. The incompetence and disregard for customer satisfaction I encountered was truly astounding.To begin with, the misdiagnosis of my vehicle was not only incredibly inconvenient but also deeply concerning. I brought my car to Performance Auto Care, hoping to get an accurate diagnosis and effective solution for the issue it was experiencing. Instead, they incorrectly diagnosed my vehicle and insisted on an unnecessary and exorbitantly expensive engine replacement. This was a blatant attempt to exploit unsuspecting customers for their financial gain.When I finally retrieved my vehicle, I was appalled to discover that Performance Auto Care had failed to reinstall essential engine components, including the engine cover, spark plug, and ignition coil. This negligent oversight further highlights their lack of professionalism, attention to detail, and basic competence. It is unacceptable for a supposed professional automotive service provider to neglect such crucial steps in their work.Furthermore, the error code they provided me had nothing to do with the engine, which only underscores their incompetence and lack of diagnostic proficiency. This further solidified my belief that their primary objective is to maximize their profits, even if it means misleading and deceiving customers.I took it to the dealership to seek a second opinion and a solution to my vehicle's issues. To my relief, they could accurately diagnose the problem and resolve it without needing an engine replacement. Performance Auto Care's proposed solution was completely unnecessary and purely motivated by their desire for financial gain.In light of my dreadful experience, I cannot stress enough the importance of steering clear of Performance Auto Care. Their misdiagnosis, lack of attention to detail, and manipulative practices should be red flags for potential customers. I recommend seeking a reputable and trustworthy automotive service provider that values its customers and provides accurate diagnostics and honest solutions.In conclusion, my encounter with Performance Auto Care was nothing short of a nightmare. They are amazing. Sammy and the crew took my car in and took really great care of it. Super professional and got my car fixed fast. Needed some transmission work and radiator fan and thermostat fixed and in 2 days I got my car back. Was supposed to be one day but my car had a few more surprises for all of us lol but all in all great shop!!!

While traveling from New Mexico our 2020 Ford Explorer sprung a leak. Lucky for us AAA sent Jose to help us and he took us and our vehicle to Performance Auto. Sandy got us in right away and the awesome mechanic was able to run diagnostics and find our problem in a matter of minutes. Then they handled the repairs and had us back on the road within an hour. This is the best auto repair service we ve ever experienced and we are so grateful for this honest and knowledgeable team.Service: Auto water leak repair

07 Lexus I had to confront them on ridiculous overpricing when helping my father; made me aware they charged $860+ from this shop for Oil change ($200 prt+lbr), Smog($100), Airflow sensor($300 pt+labor), clean throttle body, gasket($200 prt+labor). Insane like why? My father isn't experienced with mechanics he would have been scammed worse if I didn't come still included diagnostic fee of $130). **Charged $200 for single sensor only part cost, costs $80 new Oem**, $20 gasket, whole set of valve gasket cost this much. And on top all those insane scam part cost, ***another $500*** labor. Is it blessed with holy water from the Vatican are these Gucci & Prada Alcantara wrapped cables...? The invoice didn't even work mathematically only added up to $820 still total was $860. They know they scammed my dad hard with our vehicle.
