Well, what can I say. I never go to the place. I emailed them and then had another company call them. The sister company... Don't remember the name. They didn't want to take my business because I sent the email to Owen's. Which is straight up. Pretty cool. So they said they would forward it to Owen's, and I waited and waited and waited.Then I called EAC Poway. EAC took care of my car, trouble shot it, and fixed it in a few days. Shoot, dang, I'm still waiting for a call from Owen's. Thanks, guy.

Honest quoting, quality work. These guys are very patient to explain to me what's wrong with my car and what work goes into fixing my problems. Love this team, they are always friendly and professional.

Came here after it was recommended by family friend since I ve been having issues with my car for several months. Very trustworthy and reliable mechanic. I've been going here for a few years and they have been upfront and honest with the necessary repairs. Diagnostic is about $160, which I hate, but they always find what's wrong. If you want it done right, come here. Justin's great, I forgot the other gentleman's name at the counter, but he's super nice too.

Excellent experience. Have had vibration issues for over a year with no resolution across 2 different shops. Came to Owens, they identified and rectified the problem within 24 hours. Top notch service and very professional in their communications. Have earned my respect and patronage

We had to find a new mechanic because our old one would cause issues while repairing our vehicles and then charge us to fix his errors. A family member recommended Owens and they exceeded our expectations. The prices are fair and the work has held up nicely (work was done a week ago). We have found our new place.

I can t recommend this repair shop enough. If you want good honest mechanics who know what they re doing, go to Owens. I took my 2008 Ford Focus in for an engine service, brake trouble, and a noise it would make when I would make a turn. Justin and Allen diagnosed it on the spot and took excellent care of it for a reasonable price while I was away at work. They also used very quality parts! My little Focus drives like a dream now and I couldn t be more stoked! I m happy to have finally found exceptional local mechanics that I can trust. These gentlemen know what they re doing. They don t try to upsell or swindle you. They give you the honest truth and fix the issues. They also give amazing customer service. Take your car here, you won t regret it! I had a leaking freeze plug and went to Owens on the advice of an old friend. I was not disappointed. My truck was evaluated and I was quoted a fair price by Allen. When work was completed (which was over night) Allen adjusted the amount down since one of the parts they were going to replace did not need to be. Very friendly, fair and honest business to trust your ride with. I will definitely be back if ever more work is needed.0403/21 Update:I can't figure out to create a new review so I decided to update this one with my most recent visit to Owens Automotive. We had some serious sounding front end noise in our VW. Owens Auto was already busy when I called but Allan said to bring it over and they would fit it in. We test drove it and Allen agreed it didn't sound good. It turned out to be something not that expensive to fix and they did it on the same day. You really can't beat this business for honesty and helpfulness. Another thumbs-up for Owens.

The owner John and manager Allen have been taking care of my 1996 Toyota Camry stationwagon, with more than 230,000 miles, and she still runs great thanks to these guys.I've been going to them for nearly 10 years now. Not only are they excellent honest mechanics, they treat me like an old friend when i go in. Owen's is amazing! I got referred to it by someone on a FB group I'm part of - Escondido Friends- They took my car, fully diagnosed it and told me exactly what needed to be done, what didn't and what was worth fixing. I also needed a ride back to my house and they even got one of their customers to give me a ride. She had been with them for 20 years! And had nothing but good things to say about them as well. If you're looking for a trustworthy shop, THIS. IS. IT. I cannot stress this enough.

Fantastic find! With plenty of places to choose in the area I am glad to have found Owen's. They were great from start to finish. Professional, quick, and best of all communicative. If something goes wrong with my car I know where I will be taking it.

These guys are honest and reliable! Not to mention personable. They were super knowledgeable and my husband said he would take his car there again. It's so hard to find honest mechanics, ones who really care about their customers and about their service. Owens Auto Repair is top notch and I would recommend them to everybody!

Great service with professional and courteous staff. Had not been there in years, but for future servicing, will be my only place to go. Al and his mechanics are the best in Escondido. Everyone should give them a try before going elsewhere. You won't be disappointed!!!

People are always looking for a good mechanic. This is the place, they are smart and honest, know their business, and they will not steer you wrong. I have had multiple vehicles worked on. Always a good price and done on time!! Great Escondido business!!

More a testament to the kind of person working at this shop than a review of the place itself.Haven't had any repairs done here, but my husband and I had a situation where our car battery dies in a parking lot a few blocks away from the shop. Minimum for a jump from a roadside assistance company was minimum $50, and nothing nearby sold jumper cables. I called Owens on a chance, and while they didn't have an actual roadside truck, he offered to bring over his own little portable battery jump, and refused any kind of compensation.

Needed to replace radiator and hoses. Alan was professional and quite honest. The cost was competitive with other shops. Definitely will use Owen's for future mechanical issues.

Fair and knowledgeable. Won't talk you into things you don't need. Will give you recommendations on things that should be done. Thorough and well priced. Will visit anytime I need my vehicle worked on.
