They also have another name, Escondido Auto Repair. Do not come to this shop. They put a bad alternator in my car and I had to come back a couple days later because my lights would flash on and off. When I came back for them to fix it, I came back a little earlier than they said it would be done. He said it would take longer because the next alternator they got also didn't work. I don't know where they buy from but the parts they purchase could be bad. Originally was told it would take 2 hrs and 45 minutes, nope over 4 hrs. Do not come here if you value your time. Look at the Yelp reviews for this place, you'll get a more accurate understanding because you get a discount if you give a nice review. This place is not it.

I broke exhaust pipe hanger and put a hole in it off-roading. Technician at Muffler & Cat placed new section of pipe and welded pipe. Very satisfied.

This place is a rip off. You go in to get your car diagnosed which cost $125 they tell you the issue. You pay to fix it only for it to be worse hours later.I take it back and now it mysteriously had another issue. What the heck was the diagnostic for?Then they double charge for parts they buy at autozone.Asked to talk to the owner and its been 3 days and still no call.Stay away from here cause how mike the mechanic put it. Its business.

Michael is honest, fair and a hard worker. Service was great and timely. We have gone there for a cup holder issue and brakes. Had an issue with the new brakes but he fixed them at no cost to me and made it right.Services: Brakes, Brake service & repairServices: Brakes, Brake service & repair

The employees are approachable and kind, quick with the inspection and service, and honest and reasonable with the quote for service. We were able to get an appointment ASAP to bring our car in and broke down the quote for us so we understood exactly what we were getting serviced. Omar was very helpful and concise with the services requested and the cost. Also, I did not have a scheduled appointment but they still was able to fit me in on a busy Saturday morning. Michael is the most professional and honorable man I have met in the auto industry. He stands behind the shop and the work they do.You can trust him with your vehicle.However, do not trust Omar or Jr. They are not honorable and they lie.

Great experience. Came in at 1 pm without an appointment and needed brakes. Got all rotors replaced and all pads replaced picked it up at 5 pm. Excellent job. Price was great. People were great. I think I found my go to mechanics. Thanks guys.

Great service on my car. Work I had done on my car were front brakes, rack and opinion, starter and ignition switch replaced. And power steering pump. Oil change. Very honest place. Mike is the best. Had my catylitic converter replaced, They double and triple checked my code to make sure that was the proper thing that needed to be replaced. They beat a few other shops as far as pricing, job was done in a couple of hours! extremely friendly, knowledgeable, staff, I would definitely recommend, and I will be using this shop in the future, car drives much better and back to getting better gas mileageService: Auto engine diagnostic

Michael is a very nice person and a great mechanic. He addressed the needs of my vehicle and answered all the questions I had in a way that was very easy for me to understand. Overall a very pleasant experience. I will be returning here when my car needs more work done. Also the owner Sam was very helpful. These guys really care and genuinely want you to have the absolute best experience possible

Michael was very helpful over the phone and in person. I was shopping for breaks and I decided to try a new place based on the reviews and my experience over the phone. When I took my car in, Michael took time to explain exactly what my car needed and he quoted a reasonable price. He didn't deviate from the price he quoted on the phone, which some places tend to do. The workers were pleasant and didn't appear irritated or in a hurry, which is common now days. This business also has good hours of operation and reasonable appointments for people who have to work during this pandemic. For me, the flexible appointments were a plus. No one wants to work past 5pm or weekends anymore, but for those of us who have to work a regular job, Muffler & Cat Depot is ideal. I will definitely be back.

I had an appointment time of 8.30 they were ready as soon as I got there. It's my first time coming here. Had an oil change and tire rotation done. They also checked all my fluids my air in tires and got me in and out without the long wait. Bringing my daughters car next week. Would highly recommend!

I bought a Groupon bc I needed new brakes. I called at 1pm and they accepted me at 3pm. Unlike some mechanics, they told me that I didn't need a service I thought I did and got me taken care of in the process. Very human, very personable. You could not ask for better customer service. They were incredibly responsive and I would highly recommend using them for any of your exhaust needs. I've used dozens of shops in Northern CA over my 20 years of car customization and the responsiveness, quality, and care that they put into the job is as the top! They treat you like an actual person (that might sound weird to some, but if you've ever had a bad experience somewhere you know exactly what I mean!) Mike and his team know EXACTLY what they are doing and execute to perfection! FIVE STARS!

I flew in from Ohio to help my Mom. Her 96 yr old boyfriend was in hospital. I needed to get starter replaced on his car and her car serviced. Michael was very helpful and took care of car that day! Place was clean and shop was hopping. I noticed many other customers coming in and being helped in same way. Full service facility. Excellent experience getting the worn-down brakes and rotors on my 2011 Nissan replaced for a great value. Michael and the guys in the shop provided great customer service and communicated progress updates by phone throughout the process

My back brakes were making a funny noise and I was going on a trip soon so I wanted to get them checked out before then. It is hard to bring my car in during the week because I work full time so Saturday was my only option. I called and asked if they could look at my car and they said they could see me that day! Although they closed soon, Michael, was extremely helpful, friendly and professional. He let me know I needed brake pads replaced and replaced them that day in under 45 minutes. He and his mechanics even stayed over a little after closing just to accommodate me. They were extremely helpful and friendly and I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs any type of car maintenance. I will be bringing my car back here for when I need my front break pads replaced in the future.Service: Brakes

Michael identified what was needed for the car brakes and replaced them promptly. Very friendly and I think they did a great job. Getting 1 year warranty on brakes is something that not many other places do with Groupon so it s even better.
