Really grateful to John s Automotive for immediately diagnosing my 2013 Toyota Prius C s check engine light on a busy Monday morning and swiftly ordering & installing the required replacement part before bleeding out the brakes (removing any air bubbles so the brake s master cylinder never gets damaged) and test driving the car to ensure it s running great.Zack professionally took my call and his employer, the business owner LuAnne, graciously took the time to chat with me as I awaited the work to be fully done. The shop is roughly 3 blocks away from the Money Pit for those who want to pass the time eating great food. It s also within walking distance of the Veterans Green Projects HQ that does electronics recycling & vocational technical training for veterans.It also helps that they have a 10% off labor costs Spring 2024 promotion, and they are very transparent with their estimates plus you can pay down your total bill with different debit & credit cards.Overall, you can count on the multi-generational team at John s Automotive as a quality service-conscious, no-nonsense, & friendly small business that can cost-effectively get your car back on optimal track!

An oil change and a few fasteners later, John's Automotive has offered nothing but excellent, honest, and straight forward service for my 2017 Mazda 6.Matt expertly diagnosed a rattling problem and boldly proceeded to replaced stripped bolts that had caused the problem. All within an afternoon! Other shops failed to find the problem and/or said I needed thousands of dollars worth of repairs.I'll definitely be using John's Automotive while I am in California!

Luanne the owner and Zack provide Outstanding customer service. My car was ready on time and serviced by Matt who is a Outstanding mechanic. No extras added and everything was explained to me on the invoice by Zack. If you visit Evans tires they will double the price and find something else wrong.Do not go to Evans tires.Johns Automotive is the BEST and trustworthy. Just completed another visit to Johns Automotive for a synthetic oil change, brake fluid exchange,rear and front brake inspection, engine air filter and AC filter and all fluids inspection. No problems at all. If l had gone to the. Car dealership for my Chevy Camaro they would most likely found something wrong and jacked up the price for my bill. I watched the mechanics do all the work and I was out of the shop in 1 hour. Great service and service writer Zack is full of knowledge and answered all my questions. Matt and Ulysses are outstanding mechanics. Highly RECOMMEND Johns Automotive for any type of car service.

They do great work! I made an appointment for oil change, fluid checks, tire rotation, break inspection. Matt and Zack took care of my car very quickly and were super helpful and kind. Will definitely come here again. Thank you guys!

These guys are honestly great. It s the first time I ve gone to a shop and genuinely felt like the people working there, are working to help me. They re genuinely honest, hard working, and fair priced. These guys are great. They were professional and easy to speak with. They didn t have the typical douche bag attitude that most mechanics have. Did a walk in drop off to get get my rear brakes changed. Had the vehicle back in just a few hours. They said the fronts were still good and didn t try to jam me to get all 4 sets replaced. They showed me how worn the rear pads got, so I felt good about taking the car in to get the replacement doneService: Brakes

10 stars! I've been to several big name auto shops over the last 6 months. Nobody could figure out my truck issue until we came to John's. Everyone was helpful, professional & very knowledgeable. In response to the owner comment. Yes, they were willing to give the senior citizen discount and military. They also gave it on the initial inspection to for 10% off which I appreciated.Reply back from CalWest Auto that fixed our car:Freon was low causing AC compressor not to turn on. No obvious leaks and passed a 20 min vacuum test. Serviced with leak dye. We have a Freon sniffer and checked in the vents and found nothing so it has been filled up and works great and is warranted for a year. I always recommend returning in a month or so for an inspection on all seals since the new compressor oil has leak dye in it and you can get a very slow leak from the seals. -Super disappointed by this place. Went to get my dads A/C looked at and they said that they had to take the dash out, fix a leak in the coils, had to call to get the replacements. The total cost? $1,900.Then on the appointed time, (a week and a half later) their mechanic couldn t make it due to family emergency. Something seemed off.We went to another place to get it looked at and it was NOT what they had said. I m upset because I didn t think places like this existed where they just try to scam you out of your money.I m sure this place does great for other things but be weary. If you need the cost estimate they sent to us versus the new place (go to Cal West Auto in San Marcos btw) I ll send the paperwork your way. Trust that you should not go here.

I found this place not to long ago and they are the best. I have had 2 cars worked on and the quality of work and trust I have in this place is very high. Excellent work, Friendly and Professional..Good place!! They have earned any future business I may need. JUst had a 3rd car repaired there. John s Automotive replaced the spark plugs and 6 ignition coils in my older vehicle. The repair was finished within 1.5 days of my appointment request and the final price seemed reasonable. I had my first visit here today to get help with my car window. The manager Kenji is super nice, patient and professional. He did a great job on my car, gave me accurate information of the issue, charged low price. This shop is trustworthy and so helpful. I definitely recommend it to others who need services.

Ben is absolutely the nicest mechanic I have ever met. He is always honest and willing to explain everything to me, which is a very nice since I do not know much about cars. John's Automotive Service04/02/2021Awesome I was trying to replace the wiper arms on my old ford expedition. I could not get them off. It was stuck on there. Mechanic came out and said don't be nice and just yank it. He pulled on it and sure enough it came off. I was like wow! They were about to let me go. I asked them to go ahead and replace the wiper arms and worn cowl with parts I had. boom they got it done for a great price. Honest mechanics. Kenji at John s Automotive always goes above and beyond. I have been a customer here for the last couple years and have never been disappointed. A few weeks ago, I was running late after work on a Friday night, and Kenji was so kind and waited for me to come pick up my car. The service here is great, very thorough and I truly appreciate their hard work. I brought my Jeep to John's Automotive because they were referred to me by a friend. Ben and Matt at the shop were professional and honest. Yes.... Honest!!! I was expecting to get raked over the coals, as shops usually do, but I was given a quote for thousands less than the dealership, they used Mopar parts and didn't cheap out on china parts, and delivered on time! What more can you ask for? I would give them 6 stars if I could. Great shop, great people, and amazing service!!!

John's Automotive: I've had my vehicles serviced at John's for 13 years. Rick and Maria are the absolute BEST people. They have been there for me when I've had dead batteries, broken window gears, weird noises in the front end, oil changes, and various major repairs. I HIGHLY recommend them. They are honest, hard working, good people who do good work at a fair price. check em out!!!!

I wish I could give 6 stars at the service, kindness, and price point of John's Automotive. I am blown away by their customer service, and they definitely embrace the mom 'n pop aspect of a local business. They will go out of their way to make sure you take care of your vehicle properly, and are always available to answer any questions without judgement. I found my mechanic, and I will be suggesting this place to everyone I can. Ben is a great manager and customer oriented, well versed in his trade, and overall, just a nice person.

After almost 40 years of having my own shop found myself in need of a trusted mechanic. Once again a wonderful experience. Every time I go there I understand exactly what Ben and Matt are doing with my car and why they are doing it, unlike so many other places that are cryptic and only want to hand you the bill. Furthermore, because they help you make an informed choice on everything regarding your vehicle maintenance. As always, John s will remain my first choice for any maintenance needed on my car.

Honest and reliable mechanics, who ensure that they do the job right. They have taken good care of my 2004 Grand Cherokee, following up on any repair issues until I was 100% satisfied. They even gave me a discount as a member of the military, making the repair affordable.Thanks guys!
