Shout out to Michael & all the fellas at Genesis/Hyundai Escondido! They provided a fair, no nonsense experience during my car buying process. This was my second purchase here & their top-notch service will make them my first stop in the future if I ever decide to buy a new car. They beat Corona and other San Diego dealer offers with both my trade in value & overall price on the car, do not overlook these guys and give them a call!

UPDATE: I dropped by the next Saturday and was delighted by the service. Alma met us in the parking lot and helped us find a Genesis with all the features we were looking for (plus a lot more). The test drive was thorough including freeway driving, twisty country roads and congested city streets. The Genesis GV60 Advanced is amazing! The interior is very elegant with extras like a drawer-style glove compartment and built in, retractable shades in the rear doors. The car is powerful with a comfortable ride quality. The Heads Up display is amazing, easy to see without blocking your view. It includes turn-by-turn directions from the built in Navigation but not with Android Auto or Apple Carl play. We also love the Genesis implementation of Surround View. However, it seems that there aren't options on the GV60, just three trim levels. The Standard level doesn't have everything we need, but the Advanced level is a bit over our budget. Alma was amazing. She was able to find knowledgeable answers to all of our questions and even found two cables and an iPhone so we could test both Android Auto and Apple Car play in addition to the built-in Navigation. Oh and she introduced us to a colleague who is an avid bicyclist to help us consider our choices for transporting bikes in or on the GV60. She was very helpful and extremely thorough.I guess I should have made an appointment. I checked their website and discovered that they had a big inventory on the lot. All the models I am considering in several trim levels and colors so I just dropped in on a nice Saturday afternoon. There were only 2 or 3 other customers on the lot, but there were no sales people to answer questions, all the car doors were locked (even the cars inside the showroom), and there were no informational displays or brochures available at all. Besides getting a good look at the exteriors, the dealer visit was a waste of time. Don't waste your time driving out here; just research online, watch some YouTube reviews, and then go to the website to agree on a price. You can pick up a new car here, but no one is available to sell you one.

I had been in the market for a G70 for several months. I went to Genesis Escondido a few months ago and worked with Mike. Not only was he a fantastic rep for Genesis on the first visit but also kept in touch with me for several months even though I left the first visit on the "be back" bus. Mike was professional, consistent, and honest. That is why I came back to him when I was finally ready to buy. I bought a CPO 2019 G70 from him and worked with Ernie in finance as well. Both were excellent ambassadors for the brand & dealer and were a strong hint as to just how much I'd love this ownership experience!

Conducted research on the Genesis G80 3.5L Twin Turbo AWF Sport Prestige. Contacted Genesis of Escondido and scheduled a test drive. I was impressed by the email communication from the sales staff. The test drive was amazing!My wife and I went for a second test drive, so she could verify what I experienced. Sayuri was our Sales Associate and through her knowledge, courteous and respectful nature, and overall professionalism, we were able to purchase the vehicle exactly to our specifications and in a very efficient manner.Since the sale, Sayuri has done everything possible to ensure her follow up with us is as comprehensive as possible.The vehicle and the customer focused support have been first class! I highly recommend Genesis, Genesis of Escondido, and Sayuri for anyone looking for a superb luxury vehicle.

The Express-Buy team at Genesis Escondido is stellar. I viewed their available cars on their website, placed the order last Friday night, was contacted by text the next morning by Lorenzo Celaya, got my trade-in virtually appraised the same day, and was contacted the same day by the finance team (James Curtis). I e-signed the contract that same Saturday afternoon. Lorenzo delivered the car the next day on Sunday afternoon according to my preferred time, to my home. Wow! The entire process was superb! Each member of the team was fair, courteous, timely, and professional. Even after the delivery, when I had questions, Lorenzo answered them and was attentive to my needs, responding quickly. I highly recommend the dealership and Lorenzo Celaya. The 2022 G80 is a beauty! Don t hesitate to work with the team. If you ve never tried the online express buying, 2022 should be your opportunity!

They make it so easy to purchase your car, the maintenance department is unprofessional/disrespectful/racist/unethical. Even when you complain to management, they don t do anything about it. Check your car before you pick it up from oil change/ maintenance as they try to hide it if they scratch it or hit it.

My sales experience on my new electric Genesis G80 was excellent. The car is superb. Smoothest ride and comfort of any car we've test driven over the last 2 years. Dealers love deposits if you are serious about buying a car these days, which is the only way I got one of the first electric G80's in the country the first week they shipped.Not a single defect, except the license plate mounts didn't fit the plates. Dropped by without notice this morning and they fixed it right up without even a service ticket. So far, so good!

Stay away from this service center and Genesis brand in general! I recently purchased an electric Genesis gv60 in August and after only 2 months owing the car i began to have problems with it.I took my car to Genesis Escondido service center to have them look at a warning light and also that my car would not charge properly on a level 2 charger. They told me that they can't figure out the problems and Corporate Genesis will not look into my car anymore. GENESIS of Escondido gave me a loaner gv60 while they had my car. (Same car I have). This car charged perfectly fine on my home charger and I let the dealership know that. I also explained to Brandon Martinez the service advisor that I had my solar company that installed my home EV charger come to my house twice to inspect my system when I initially thought the problem was with my system and not the car. The company inspected and showed me the ev charger is working properly.Brandon the service advisor told me they can't replicate the problem on their charger and I explained to him that the car only malfunctions on a level 2 charger and not the level 3 electrify America network chargers. So they had my car for 3 weeks only to tell me that the basically have given up on trying to figure it out, even though they never put the car on a standard level 2 charger like most people have.On a phone call that I recorded with Brandon when he called me and told me to pick up the car, he told me that Corporate Genesis says not to investigate the car anymore because there is nothing wrong with it. So now I'm stuck with a car that doesn't charge properly, lost significant range, and has had warning lights come on after only having 7000 miles on it.This dealership refuses to fix an obvious warranty issue and put the responsibility on Corporate genesis office (which is also a nightmare to deal with) so they could get rid of me. Stay away from Genesis of Escondido and especially Brandon Martinez because they tell you one thing and do an another. Also record your calls when you speak with the service advisors if you have to bring your car for warranty related work. This way they will be more accountable when you have to pursue legal action like i now have to. This dealship and Genesis brand are clearly neglecting to fix a warranty related problem and will leave you with a headache! Stay away this service center and owning a electric vehicle made by Genesis.Update 9/1/23My car is now having the same probelms and there is a class action lawsuit against Genesis for this problem. I had to drop my car off again here and I saw Kyle in the service department. He remembered me from the past and his attitude was confrontational from the start. He tried to flip things on me like I'm the problem when all I want is a car that I can charge and works properly. He told me take my car somewhere else if i dont like it and blah blah. This is the same guy who told me 9 months ago there was nothing wrong with my car! There is always confusion between the dealership and the Genesis Corporate office and they are never on the same page. I was correct about the problem 9 months ago when I brought the car in and no one wanted to hear me then, but I had to threaten Corporate Genesis with legal action and they finally allowed the new part to be installed which worked up until now. Stay away from this service department because they all have arrogant attitudes and Kyle wants to act like a tough guy when hes there to do a job he cant. Save it for someone else and just try to do a decent job at something! Kyle and the service department are a joke to say the least. Kyle should work at a scrap yard in Ramona instead!

Stay away from this dealership and all the headaches they will give you. Hyundai and Genesis service departments are combined, but you will honestly get worse than Hyundai service. I scheduled warranty/recall service through the online Genesis valet service, but after calling they said they didn't see the appointment. After bringing it in myself, they said they had no loaners. Red flags everywhere when they had signs all over their service department stating that customers do not have the privilege of getting a Lyft ride. The staff there looks overworked and they all look like they want to get out of there. No updates about my car, when I call I just get voicemail. No basic courtesy services like a car wash or fluid top up. Worst of all, they will do whatever they can to not honor the Genesis warranty and will blame you instead. Frankly, this dealership is an embarrassment to Genesis.

Service department sucks at best. Three strikes and you are out. Frist strike: I made an anointment using their website and requested a loaner as stated in my sales contract with Genesis. After a couple of calls someone came by to pick up the loaner. However, they did not bring me a car. The Service Manger stated that I did not check the box that I need a loaner. I went back and looked at the website in which I used and there was no such block. I believe that I was just fed a line so that they looked like they were not at fault, Second strike: Had a 120:30 AM appointment for a pickup for service. I stress in my that I absolutely needed a loaner. Someone show up around 10:30 AM I called and spoke with someone. I was told that they would be aver immediately to pick up my car. I asked them if there was a loaner. The person did not know and checked. No loaner. I just cancelled the service. Third strike was today. This time I made the appointment on the Genesis app. The appoint was for nine and it is now noon. I am going to have my attorney contact The Genesis Corporate Office and request a buy back Since they are unable to fulfill their obligation through the Genesis Valet service. It's a great care except for the car's firmware problems. Which I had hoped to solve today.genesi

The dealer lacks training. Love my GV80, people working there are nice.I paid MSRP which is kind of normal these days. The car was promised for noon delivery pick up at dealer. I ended up paying and signing. Car ended up belting delivered to my house at 4pm. Plastic protective wraps everywhere inside, yellow temp wiper blades, one tire only 27lb and warning light on. I have purchased over 12 Toyota trucks next door and great dealer. I hope they get it together. Again love the vehicle styling and performance.

Purchased the Genesis GV 70 from Genesis of Escondido. Salesman was very nice. During the sales pitch they told us we would always have the choice of a loaner car or home pickup for maintenance and service. Unfortunately the very first time we wanted to bring the car for service they told us they do not issue loaners and that home pickup is not available to us. They promised we would get a call from a manager to straighten things out but it s been three weeks and we are still waiting for the call. So much for luxury car service.

We were looking for a new genesis and speaking with their internet sales team. I asked them if they were willing to match a competitors quote, they asked for the quote and said they didn't see why not. The next day, they gave me the sticker price as the quote and informed us they purchased the vehicle from the competitor. We informed them that that was pretty shady and they never responded back. I would never purchase a vehicle from this dealership. In fact, based upon this experience, we are no longer looking at purchasing this brand.

I could write 2 pages single space of how GOOD my experience was with Moises Alameda of Genesis of Escondido. I can sum it up in 3 words. Moises was PROFESSIONAL, GOOD LISTENER, and PATIENT

Zero stars (but I cant submit without giving them one star). Long story short. Brought car in for service to address a Check Engine Light which I diagnosed myself and 60K service. Long story short, the car was there almost 30 hours and the only thing they did was an oil change.Worse customer service ever experienced at a dealership. Not one callback, I had to call them repeatedly for status. Disgraceful. For the non-readers digest version, read my review on dealerrater.com (no length limit).

Leased a new Genesis through them more than a month ago, but never received information on how to pay for the lease. The dealer just called and wanted us to go in to sign a new contract!! They refused to send this request through email or US mail. They said that if we don't go in to sign the new contract immediately, they will cancel the lease. I think that they will use the excuse that we did not pay the lease and to hold our down payment when they cancel the lease. Already complaint to Genesis, and I will update on how Genesis handle this situation.

Dealership is dishonest and deceitful. Stay away, previous reviews should have warned me, but I decided to give them a chance. I was wrong, and they wasted 2 days of my time and they absolutely do not follow-up. Had to get genesis concierge involved in order to communicate with them.

I received great service except for the lack of valet of valet service. I was denied valet due to distance yet I received valet service for a previous visit.
