Charlie at G&R got me in on short notice for an emergency oil system repair in my 7.3L Ford while I was in Escondido for business. The crew got it done quickly and competently. I was so impressed I will most likely be driving back down from Northern California when it s time for me to do an engine rebuild next year.

Absolutely outstanding. Charlie the owner got my sway bar fixed, oil change, chassis service and generator service on my 2004 Tiffin Phaeton diesel pusher. This is my go to place from now on. I was in and out in a day. Make sure you make an appointment. I do not leave a ton of reviews but this business deserves kudos. I was impressed. Charlie did not up sell a bill of goods and took care of what needed to be done at a very fair price. So from this senior to the rest who read this review G&R Auto & Truck rock and roll hands down. I took my Dodge Turbo Diesel truck in to this place as it was a recommended place for these types of truck. To my surprise, they took it apart but never worked on it for over 2 weeks. I was given excuses after excuses and wasted my time. They were afraid to get into a big motor repair & never did a diagnostic. After visiting & calling the shop many times they never did any work on it. I got a tow truck to tow it somewhere else & then the manager tries to charge me for having it sit there for weeks!! No shame & DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SHOP! Don t waste your time.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would definitely do it. I went in here trying to fix my truck only to find out that three weeks later they had left it parked in there garage untouched. The manager never gave a clear explanation and when I asked to speak to the boss he/she was never around. I went in a couple of times early in the morning only to find them drinking coffee and eating donuts which is understandable, but when your truck has been parked in there garage, UNTOUCHED for three weeks that angers me. When I finally wanted to move my truck to another shop they wouldn t let me take it until I payed them a certain fee for the time they had it parked in their garage. On the first day I took it they let me know that in one day they would give me the diagnostics but although I kept calling almost everyday to hear the diagnostic they never had anything for me and kept saying that their main mechanic was sick and couldn t work on my truck. Again, I understand if one of their mechanics was sick, but any other mechanic could ve at least gave me a diagnostic on my truck. This place is beyond disrespectful and I will never come back here again nor recommend this place to anyone.

I had some work done on my motorhome last November at G&R, which included an oil change. I didn't take the motorhome anywhere in 2020, but checked my oil recently and found it to be BLACK. I changed it myself today and confirmed it was not changed. That's the last time I go to G&R. Really pisses me off when the simple things are not done.....Jim Haskins (work done 11/6/19)

They do great work when they actually get to your vehicle. As long as you are not in a hurry. Warranty on the work they do is awesome.

A good shop to fix your RV. They don't work fast or cheap, but they do a good job. Make sure you make an appointment because they are always busy.
