My Family and I have been taking our vehicles to Gilberto at Baja 1000 for close to 10 years now. Most honest and thorough mechanic around and always goes above and beyond the job. Wouldn t take my car anywhere else and 100% recommend anyone and everyone to visit Baja 1000 Auto Repair for any services needed on their vehicle!

It's nice to have a mechanic you can trust. Many years ago I went to a different mechanic and got a quote for a lot of expensive repairs I was told I needed. I randomly ran into Gilberto at Fresh & Easy and found out he was a mechanic. So I asked him for a second opinion. I didn't even need most of what the other guy quoted. He got my truck running great for a fraction of the cost. He's never let me down since.

Highly recommend! If you are looking for a mechanic who truly knows his craft, Gilberto is your guy. He can diagnose any difficult issue on a car, getting to the root cause, and properly fix it. Most knowledgeable mechanic I have found in the area.

Moved to Escondido a year ago! Found Baja 1000 from an oil shop. Gilberto does right by me every time. Great prices and always makes time to work on my car and my Jeep !

Very detailed explanations about issues with my car. (Most mechanics do not bother). Gave alternative solutions to pricey repairs. Could have insisted worst case scenarios as other mechanics did such as broken head. Was clear and honest about severity. Very friendly and reasonably priced. Definitely going back for future services

Gilberto had the best customer service ever! He was so patient and helped me right away. He totally made my day today by helping me get my window up, it was stuck down. I'll definitely be coming back for more service! Thanks again!!!
