These guys have no idea what they are doing. They claim to be VW experts but they didn't even know to change my DSG fluid on my Volkswagen. This resulted in the transmission blowing and all they could do is say "ya that happens sometimes". A mechanics job is to be an expert advisor and they couldn't identify this service need during the multiple inspections I had with them.Very unprofessional and unknowledgeable mechanics. Don't let them fool you, they don't know what they are doing.Do yourself a favor and go to a real VW.

Let's start by saying Im from Malibu,CA and I just drove/towed my car over 100 miles to come specifically here to North county Independent Audi.I own a Audi S4B5 with RS4 Turbos and cams obviously its tuned and all the other good stuff....My car has gone through so many retarted mechanics in the last few years its absolutely sad. 3 prior mechanics ended up giving my car non operable and still charged me a fortune.Scotty on the other hand was a real human being down to earth and to be quiet honest ...amazing with pricing!I got in my car today and cried joys of tear because no one but him could get my car going. I owe everything to him. I can't thank him enough.Scotty is a very busy shop I set my appointments far advance and had no time limit which worked our for both us because the car turned out absolutely incredible. Always remember to be patient when it comes to your vehicle so let a mechanic work in peace with no rush.Scott again I thank you!

I def wouldn't recommend. check engine light was on took it in after a rough time getting an appt, I drove it 30-40 miles same check engine light same code.. thousands spent for nothing. Please Look elsewhere save your time/ money.

After calling around and looking a place to install my hybrid turbo for my Audi rs3, y all Recommend it to take to north county independent audi & vw . I call them got my appointment in the same day and got my car back the next day. I m super happy about the install, the owner Scott , Eric and the team are super awesome. This shop is absolutely an Audi owner's must regarding repairs. These guys work on these types of vehicles because they have a passion for them...and that makes these gentlemen consummate professionals. I had another shop misdiagnosed my A6 and thanks to the owners and technician it was reevaluated correctly here.I cannot speak highly enough about this shop. No reason to look any further for a more than decent repair shop. You will find integrity as well as impressive analytical skills at North County...Melissa Gruner, San Marcos.

Mechanic stated I had a leak in the within the water pump housing and that the water pump and thermostat housing needs to be replaced, around a $1200 fix. I went to another shop in Miramar called PureMotorsport to get a 2nd opinion. They stated that nothing was leaking and even showed it to me in their working bay. This place just wants your hard earned money. Their owner is also impatient and overall rude. Wouldn t recommend.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I highly recommend North County Independent Audi & VW! My old GTI has needed some care over this last year, from a new clutch plate and flywheel(manual transmission), engine ware items(spark plugs, ignition coils, etc), alignment, and coolant pump replacement. Everyone who works here has always been super nice and understanding. I m a car person myself, and they ve always been open to me asking detailed questions and having general car talk about what s going on. I love the openness and direct information, especially as a woman who most mechanics try to swindle without knowing better! I have recommended this shop to friends and family, and they ve also only had good things to say.Their prices are incredibly fair and great. They have the best turnaround time for diagnostics and repairs, while maintaining top quality work, I ve seen - especially in today s post-covid market.Services: Transmission, Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Wheel alignment

I don't usually write reviews but this one i had to. Eric and Scott are awesome. Brought my Jetta GLI in for some minor work. They are very professional and fair on pricing. While i was in there they even did an ECU upgrade as well. They are very knowledgeable and quick with their work. The next day had an issue with my car and took it back in. They were on it right away and swapped out the spark plugs. I would highly recommend these guys for any service work on your VW or Audi.Thanks Guys.

Time for a 75K Service on my A4 Quatro. Dealer wanted a ton of money. Looked around for independents. Picked North County based on reviews. Really glad I did. Eric was great and saved me a ton of money. All repairs and maintenance done as expected. Check them out. Extremely knowledgeable, trustworthy, and fairly priced. I have the utmost confidence that all work on my cars is expertly done, reliable, and warranted. It's not often you find mechanics who can be trusted like family, but these guys sure can. I can't sing their praises and recommend them highly enough.

Eric and Scotty are some of the most down to earth and trust worthy technicians I've ever done business with. My GTI loves breaking and every time it does, I gladly drive/tow it 30 minutes across town to the guys. They know what they're doing and are always on time. Very pleased with the service on my 2009 Audi A4. Walked me through every issue on my car, actually showing me the problem. Provided several repair options based on level of importance (safety vs comfort vs performance) and cost. Did not seem to upsell, but still significantly cheaper than the dealer. Definitely recommend.

I highly recommend servicing your next VW, Audi, and Mercedes with NCIAV. Eric and Scotty are super honest, nice, and highly knowledgeable in their fields. Their fair repair pricing not even close to what other mechanic shops charge. Taking it to dealer is even worse. They use OEM parts and back their repair service with warranty. Work completion is superfast.My water pump went bad and was leaking coolant on my 2013 Tiguan with 82K miles. I called the dealerships and was quoted $1,300 to $1,500 but could be more depending on their diagnose. The dealer said that it would require extensive work because they have to remove fuel injector housing. Plus, the service departments told me that their appointments are full. So, I called other VW specialists near my house and all quoted $850 to $950. I got in contact with Eric at NCIAV and quoted me a fair price of $750. Dropped my car the same day and was explained to me that removing the fuel injector housing was unnecessary. They diagnosed and confirmed the water pump was bad. Completed the repair with 48hrs and did a complete maintenance check.I am more than satisfied with their service job, fair pricing, and customer service. I am now their loyal customer.Thanks again Eric & Scotty!

This shop has done all the maintenance on our Audi A4 for the last few years. Eric, the owner, is a great guy and is very good at what he does.The shop is honest, and gives you a much better price than what you would pay at the dealer.

Though I won't have it for much longer (with VW buying it back) North County Independent Audi & VW has always taken great care of my VW Passat TDI diesel. They are busy (because of their top notch work and honesty - so word gets around!) they are professionals and always do excellent work. From maintenance to repairs, North County Independent Audi & VW is well worth it. If you're looking for a dealership alternative, then I highly recommend North County Independent!

This is seriously the best Audi mechanic I have ever gone to. I used to build and drag race audi's about 15 years ago and would never let ANYONE touch my car except for myself. Recently needed my engine mounts swapped on my A6 and I just don't have the time anymore to DIY.I talked to Eric, who knew the whole procedure and reassured me of everything. Their price was unbeatable. They're shop is near my house. AND THEY EVEN PICKED ME UP AT TRAIN STATION WHEN CAR WAS DONE.These guys went above and beyond, and they are now my go-to mechanic for anything on my car (next are my axles). They even programmed my keyless remote for free also!!!!!!!Can't say thanks enough! See you soon.

You won't find nicer and more relatable Audi and VW mechanics in San Diego. Not only are they fast and diligent mechanics, but very personable. It helps that they are much cheaper than any dealership.

Truly dedicated to not only the craft but the art of what they do. Scotty keeps all my Audi s running even when the cars are reluctant. Always super reasonable with their pricing and have bailed me out when I needed help. Can t imagine taking my Audi s anywhere else.

Did a big job in one afternoon so I had my car for the weekend. Made a great impression and will be bringing the GTI and Q3 here from now on. Fair price to support a local shop.
