Dropped my car off around 12 noon, stating that I had AAA pump up my tire 5 minutes away so I could drive over, as I was sure I had a flat. The person helping me said they would get me helped by 1:55pm, which I felt was really long considering how many people are working versus 2 people waiting. At 2pm, I asked the supervisor about my car....to which he apologized and said they must have forgotten to tell me it was "done."I was called to the counter, where they said I could buy a new tire but patching it wouldn't be possible. After considering my options, I did a price match...which is when the guy helping me had a full change of attitude. He then told me he would accept the price change but that my new price wasn't even legit, since it was for a used tire and not a new tire. I showed him 3 places on the website, where it has said "new" tire, not that it even mattered. I left paying a little under $200 and being in there 3 hours.Also, I left my very plain Travelers cup in the lobby. I had a friend call to see if they could hold it for me, but they told me it wasn't there. I called back 2 minutes later and thankfully she supervisor apologized to me and said he was trying to wave me down, while I left, so I didn't forget it, when he was on a phone call.

Just disappointed. Been going here years and this last time may have just been my last. Went in for a tire rotation and was told to make an appointment or wait and leave my car. Well no I'm not leaving my car for a 3 hr wait. Call me when it gets closer and I'll right over. Nope, won't do that leave it or make an appointment. Ok fine I'll make an appointment. I get to my appointment just to have the kid tell me they WONT rotate my tire because they're too low on tread, "won't make a difference, but I suggest buying new ones" Seriously?! I just wasted my Saturday afternoon to be told this? Why didn't the first guy check this out before hand? I could have kept my plans with my family intact that day. I was only in town for the week.Lazy and rude guys.

I've been buying my tires there for several years. Appointments are available. They offer free tire pressure checks. The technician explains what's going on with my tires. Very helpful. There's usually a line of the or four cars waiting for the air pressure check. It's worth the wait.

i stopped in for the free tire air check. it was so easy and Obed provided great service.i had some tire related questions. he answered all my questions and was knowledgeable and patient. i dont need tires just yet - but when i do i will come here.there was zero pressure and no gimmicky sales tactics. he was honest and let me know i dont need tires just yet but keep checking.

One of my beliefs is,"We all make mistakes, it's taking ownership and fixing it without excuses". A series of little problems was dealt with and repaired.It's so rare in today's corporate world. I'm now a fan of Discount and will tell all that want to hear it.

I had a tire patched there a year ago and they were friendly and quickly fixed the problem.I recently had them put 4 new tires on our Tesla Model 3 and they happily matched an online store for prices on the tires. I was in at the appointed time and also out in the scheduled hour.They do get busy so make an online reservation to save some time.

These guys are the absolute best!! Ernesto was extremely helpful in making sure my car was in and out in a timely manner as well as giving me all the possible scenarios for repair of a punctured tire. Went to the dealer for a routine check up and they noted a nail in one of the tires but said it couldn t be repaired and had to be replaced. The Encinitas Discount team took and look and said it was repairable, fixed it, and got me on the road before my next meeting. Big thanks to everyone there for all the help!!

Free tire rotation and balancing. I m not sure why it was free but I m not arguing. Great, fast service and my steering doesn t pull to the right anymore!

Simply the best experience I ve ever had. Driving back from San Diego I ran over a nail, 4 hours from home. Every place was closing and I was going to be stranded as I had been turned away from 4 places unwilling to help. My spare was also undrivable even for 1 more mile. They took me in minutes before close and showed the kindest heart I think I ve ever felt. I only wish I would have taken a picture with them. I ll never forget you guys. As long as I live I ll tell the story of this moment. When I have kids I ll teach them to follow your example of kindness. I m just so thankful!

I've been bringing my vehicles to the Encinitas CA Discount Tires for the past 25+ years and won't be back in a win for Costco.I just walked in to buy tires and stood in line (with no one in front of me) for 15 minutes watching the two guys behind the counter stare at their screens with phones in their hands but not talking. They never even made eye contact. I'm pretty sure I could still be standing there now and they wouldn't even know it.Wow. Seems their ftont desk ppl just graduated from an anti-sales program.

Went there today to get my Tesla Model 3 complementary rotation and after taking an appointment it was promptly executed within 30mins. I left them a tip for the great service. Will look into getting back for my new Tesla tires for sure

Thomas was very knowledgeable, helpful and went out of his way to ensure I was making the right tire decision. Thomas took the time to physically bring several tires out to me and explain the difference between them. This was awesome for me and I really appreciate great customer service like Thomas demonstrated!

Staff was friendly, personable, and extremely accommodating. We ordered tires in and they called us to alert us of the backorder and took it upon themselves to find us other tires and paid the difference to ensure we were able to get new tires and on our road trip in time. Highly recommend them!

Didn t align the hubcap with the tire air valve when they put the new tires on. This is so dangerous preventing the tires from being filled. Pay attention please.

We were on vacation and we found a gash in our tire. We took it to this store and Adrian was awesome. He checked all our tires and found another tire that needed to be replaced. He found the tires we needed, and made arrangements for us to come in the next day to get them replaced since we were supposed to drive home the next day. And he worked with the manufacturer to make sure we got the rebate we were due. He helped make sure our vacation plans weren't ruined and made sure we had safe tires for our drive home. We'll definitely use Discount Tire again when we get back home and I highly recommend this store.

Replacing my tires was so easy. They were honest the entire way and Joe took care of me the entire way through. Let me see when the rims came in and was always upfront with everything. It was a pleasure!

Great service and a great job, every time. They honored the mileage warranty on the 3 year old tires I had purchased there, and then gave me a great deal on another brand of tires I wanted. I made an appointment for installation later that afternoon. Adrian said it might take about an hour. Well, they had the tires mounted, balanced, and installed in about 30 minutes! Back on the road, and now with a much smoother ride! Thanks!

Worst staff ever. This location is filled with guys with passive aggressive attitudes. Not helpful at all. I do business with this location constantly and every time I come in I m met with a rude demeanor. I am not to blame for your shop being busy nor do I have anything to do with other customers so there is no need for the attitude the guys have. Adrian in the only helpful employee in the entire shop. Everyone else gives incorrect information as to when vehicles are to be brought in and when they will be finished. I have had nothing but bad experiences from loosing my wheels to having to wait days for my car to finish.

I am very impressed with this team. I brought in a tire with a huge nail thinking I was about to spend hours of my life and a few hundred dollars to repair this thing. The team took my tire and fixed it overnight, telling me I could come back quickly and they d pop it on in the morning all free of charge! When I returned in the am, the line was out the door. I had to head to Orange County for a meeting so I said I would return later that day. Bring that safety is a big concern for them, they said they d move a couple things around so I didn t have to drive all the way up there on a spare! I was in and out in 30 mins! Thank you to Matt and Andrew for making it happen!

I cannot believe that this company can repair a tire without a charge, but that is what happened yesterday when I went in to fix a slow leak. Not only was the price right, but the staff was friendly, efficient, and professional.I guess old fashioned excellent service isn't dead everywhere....... yet !

Rich one of the service tech s got me in & out of there extremely fast. Really appreciate his friendly service helping me recalibrate the cars computer so it would stop telling me the tire is flat. The car is smarter than me! Thanks again Rich a great employee!

Excellent Customer Service. I appreciate their complimentary tire check and their free flat tire repairs irregardless of you being a customer or not. That is why I will continue to buy my tires here.**UPDATE**I was just there this morning (Thursday, 12/29/2022) for a flat tire without an appointment. Joe checked me in and was very helpful and friendly. In less than 2 hours I was texted that my car was ready. Greg checked me out. He was pleasant and friendly and thanked me for my business. The repair was FREE, even though I did not buy my tires there (this time). All the staff were running around busy but happy and with a smile. Thank you!!!

Came here with screw in my tire. They took care of it quickly (20 mins with no appointment) at no charge. Excellent customer service. You can tell everyone is trained very well and the culture is to do right by the customer. They even told me the torque specs of the wheel lugs, clearly very attentive to details. Super impressed!

I got 2 screws in both front tires and they were able to fix them on the spot for free - only an hour wait! Amazing service!!

This is by far the worst Discount tire I have ever been to.� The manager at this location is extremely rude.� He mistreats his customers and down talks and degrades the employees working at this location.� Their is also another person at this location who treats other workers very badly including cussing at other I'm assuming subordinates.� I felt real bad for one employee after I heard how the ones in charge disrespect and mistreat the other employees.� It is very saddening and troublesome that in 2022 employees are still getting treated horribly.�� To the upper corporate/management for regions and or districts please look into this as soon as possible.� Whether you have to go undercover to get your answers please for the employee who was getting mistreated today upper corporate needs to look into and investigate this issue.� Thank you in advance because I am assuming you will do what is right.

I am a mom with 2 little kids and I discovered a screw in my tire of my huge SUV and started freaking out so I came here to see if they could fix it for me. There was a 2.5 hour wait or I could make an appointment for 2 days later! With car seats in my car and no other option, I was in a panic! Thankfully the nicest guy, Will, was the one that helped me and he said he would do the work himself and fix it!! I couldn t believe it. Within minutes he was taking my tire off and fixing it for me. This place has the best service ever and I could not have felt luckier to have Will help me today!! I can not recommend it enough. If you come make sure you ask for Will!!! He is the best!! Thank you so much!!!

I love Discount. Love it. They really know how to put customer service first. I took a tire with a nail in it to them, unsure if the tires had been bought from them (it wasn't my car), and they took the nail out and patched the hole AT NO CHARGE with no questions asked. I love the "tire check" station they have out front where they check your pressure and fill up if needed... again, at no direct cost.And yes, I've actually bought tires from them before. Their prices are very competitive and they get the job done fast and efficiently.I really can't think of anything to add that would be a negative. If you drive a car and need tires, definitely give this place a try.

My "Service Tire" light came on in my car so I did some online research and came to the conclusion that the TPMS sensors had gone out in at least 1 wheel. I ended up buying the sensors online and bringing them to Discount Tire to have them put on. These guys did a turn key job for the bare minimum amount of money. 5 stars! Very professional, very courteous and helpful! Highly recommend this location!

Yes, I ordered 4 tires! Thus far, I am satisfied; Wednesday, November 6, 2019, Chris W. gets the 5 stars for working with me on the price for 2003 Audi Cabriolet! Yesterday!Today, I rejoice Thursday November 7; Thanks be to God for the extremely quick and diligent work to get me out of there in under 2 hours without an appointment! Will gave me my car and keys fast - and to you, other crew members, you have consistently provided polite service!Because of intelligent people (Chris W.) and common sense actions (Will), Discount received my business; my respect and gratitude! Businesses are businesses. They exist to fill a need and make a profit.
