I had a very good experience working with the team at Autohaus. They approached a significant repair in a methodical way. They took into account my needs for transportation and got my car running with the instruction to put on more mileage and return for a re-check. I felt that our two-way communication worked well. I was treated fairly, and well, and have confidence in the repair. I definitely had savings over dealer pricing. I will return for more professional service by this team (Kristin, Sebastian, Ben, Abraham).

CA Autohaus has gone above and beyond with my 2016 RR Sport. Unfortunately I bought it with more issues than I realized but thankfully CA Autohaus was able to get it back in perfect order. Kristin, Sebastian, and Ben all seem to really care and take pride in the work they do. Very transparent and up front with everything!

Used California Autohaus for a second opinion on work needed for our BMW. They ended doing the work at a more reasonable price, completed the work, and explained all the work done. Very happy with California Autohaus. I highly recommend them.

They were AMAZING, yesterday: Kristen and then Ben! We're from Canada and are camping nearby in our RV build on a 2019 Sprinter Van. We suddenly had an issue with the hydraulic balancers; they wouldn't come down because the monitor said the parking brake was not on, even though it was on. We called them at 2p and Kristen, the service mgr, was responsive, intelligent, and empathetic. She said to come down between 4 and 4.30, and someone could see if there's a quick fix. We did. Ben figured out the problem, and in 15 MINUTES, we were on our way and SO GRATEFUL!! Thank you, and bless you, California Autohaus!!

Just recently stumbled across this place. They are honest, amazing and professional. Kristan who works in the front is a very kind, personal, professional, and amazing person! She is very knowledgeable and ready to help with whatever needs you have. Their service is impeccable and their pricing is competitive. I strongly suggest this place for anyone who owns a foreign car or SUV.

Sebastian and Christine are superb, they make an outstanding team. They make a point of keeping you informed about their diagnosis and how much it would cost to remedy the problem. What more could any customer ask ?The quality of their service puts the big dealers in San Diego to shame. I would never use them again! Tony is fortunate in having such dedicated, experience and friendly associates front of house.

Not happy with this place. Got a quote for just over $300 and then of course they call back and say now it s $2000. Fine, I get it that services are needed. Then I go to pick the car up, the thing is filthy first of all. Maybe I take a little more pride in my work than most but there was grease and gunk everywhere and the whole car stinks now. Then I look at the price break down and two line items jump out at me. Changing the spark plugs (all four right on top of the engine) cost $400? It s about 30min to 1 hour of work for someone completely untrained like me. I would think a qualified mechanic would be at least as efficient. Then changing the cabin air filter This one I have done before, it s in the glove box and takes about 1 minute to change and they charged me $160 for this. Friggin ridiculous! They even looked it up on YouTube which also was a 1 minute video showing the entire procedure and had no explanation for it. Then I open the hood on my way out just to make sure that someone had actually touched something in there and I see palm seeds in there which is obvious evidence of rats and again, maybe my expectation are far too high but I would have thought they would toss those out and give me a heads that I have rats and might want to watch out on that. Nope, not a peep. I don t think I ll be heading back.

Autohaus got my limping VW right in and got me back on the road in no time. They quickly diagnosed my issue and didn't attempt to fix a bunch of nonsense that didn't need addressing. Great expert service. Kristin and Sebastian are a pleasure to deal with. Thanks Autohaus!

My experience with California Autohaus was definitely a 5 Star . Kristin & Sebastian, upfront, are very knowledgeable & easy to work with. They mentioned their bread n butter are Land/Range Rover, however, they also work on all foreign & domestic vehicles. Once you drop off your vehicle they have a great texting system that kept me informed every step of the way. They also had a car service to drop me off at home. Pricing was also very fair, would definitely recommend.

Amazing crew! Long story short, Kristin and her amazing crew fixed the braking system in my van! When the other shops coudnt figure out the issue, this shop did! I am very grateful for the hard work, patience, and innovative thinking this team used dealing with such a complex issue. My van is back on the road safe and solid! Highly reccomend this shop.

I am not sure why people pay 30% or 40% more at a dealer when the same quality work can be done by Autohaus. Their mechanics are just as knowledgeable and they did a great job on my porsche macan. will do the 40k check up with them as well. Lindsay in the front office is a great resource and suspect she could be a mechanic herself. Thank you.

Kristen and the whole team at California Autohaus are amazing. They solved issues with my vehicle that the dealer couldn't solve, and did so efficiently and economically. Don't hesitate to take any make or model of car there - they will get it right. They also navigated the warranty payment landscape for me gracefully, which was greatly appreciated.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

This place was the best in the county until the new ownership. I just brought my truck in for warranty on work they performed last year and they told me they are not warrantying the parts or work they installed prior to the acquisition. I spent a lot of money at this shop for years, I have four trucks I serviced here.

This auto shop is amazing! Sebastian was informative, transparent and fair with repairs needed and cost. He built out an entire plan with no pressure and keeping our budget in mind. Now we have a sensible roadmap for maintaining our vehicle moving forward. Much better service and price than any dealership we would typically use. Kudos to everyone at California Autohaus. Thank you !Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Warning! New owners. I had previous provided a 5 star review, but recently took my Range Rover Sport in for a broken shifter. Autohaus quoted me $2k saying they needed to replace the whole shifter. I called Land Rover in Carlsbad and they said they have a refurb kit and could fix it for $500. Autohaus didn't even know that existed. I did some web research and found out it's an even easier fix and I bought the part on Amazon for $15 and repaired it myself in a half hour. It was literally a small plastic piece that broke and is a common issue. Of course the part I bought was aftermarket, but it worked perfectly and Autohaus was ready to replace the whole gear shifter for $2k. If you get a big estimate get a second opinion and do some web research!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I have been taking my 2006 Land Rover here for the better part of a decade and have had nothing but positive experiences. On my most recent visit they went out of their way to ensure I was back on the road the same day, despite their being extremely busy. They are subject matter experts, provide honest advice, and top notch service.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil changeServices: General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

I was referred by a friend. It was great he had previous experience and that their location was convenient for me. It can be a challenge to find the right fit for help with foreign cars. I made an online appointment online which I found to be very user friendly. It was confirmed via text. I arrived the day of the appointment (6/15/23) 15 minutes early. I met the service manager who was seemingly/instantly put off by me being there. My intent was to discuss the fact that my car is idling high and that I was requesting a new air control valve be installed. I was told that wasn't "how they do things" and that I would need to leave the car and it would be $277 for them to diagnose it. I am not an "expert" but I did my research and came up with a plan that I was willing to pay for them to help me with. I pointed out their method and approach wasn't clear in the online appointment or confirmation, in fact it doesn't say anything of the sort and was told, "you just booked the appointment online, you didn't speak to anyone". I realized quickly, I was being scolded It wasn't just that the service manager was not listening to me but how she was speaking to me and the eye rolling that was transpiring. I apologized twice for whatever I did to annoy her to which she repeated, "nothing" before politely excusing myself and leaving. Everyone has a bad day. I get it. But in a service industry this experience is unfortunate and lasting. As a local business owner I strive to support other local businesses. I really wanted this to work as I just bought this car and it has a significant need list in phases. I do feel bad for how the owners brand was represented today in a first impression. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this with him/her. Thank you

I brought my old Mercedes E500 in for the dreaded rear air shock replacement that Mercedes tells you almost always happens at 110K miles. I used to repair my own cars, so I'm quite familiar with the pricing, parts and labor. I specifically asked for a particular aftermarket replacement part that reduces the labor that the OEM part requires. Kristen was very helpful in accommodating my request (unlike the Mercedes dealer). Even though we discussed the repair, there was a miscommunication in the repair order, and I mistakenly approved the work order containing the error. We discovered the mistake after the fact and while they had every right to charge me for the extra time, they did not! How often does THAT happen? Then Kristen and I discussed the correct repair, and she compared shop manual pricing and saw a wide divergence in labor hours between the books. So we discussed a fair price that was right in line with what I knew the repair would take.Kristen was exceptional, she deserves a tremendous amount of credit for turning what could have been a very negative experience into a very positive experience. I will definitely take my cars to California Autohaus again. If there's one thing I wish they'd change, the mobile app they use to send out work orders for approval, it displays a lot of information on a small screen - too much. They're not hiding anything, it's just too much data for such a small device. I wish they sent the work orders through email instead so they can be more easily read.Service: Steering & suspension replacement
