I've used them for my customers vehicles for about 10 years, I've always had great customer service and on the very rare chance I have an issue they are quick to get it resolved!

Terrible service from Tom yells consistently and does not know how to properly speak to others. Extremely suggest the owner to fire him before he loses all his customers due to an inexperienced as well as inadequate employee. Specifically, because his desk is in front of the door he is the nearly the face of the customer service.

If I could give zero stars I would.2,500 miles since I had an Engine World rebuilt motor put in. Head Gasket popped due to the head not being torqued down correctly. My Mechanic sent photos to me saying this motor has old pistons. No way these are new one of the pistons was just honed off but is still pitted. I called Engine World yesterday and the dude on the phone said I order the parts so I know they are new And I told him I m sure you order the parts but your guys didn t install them. He told me we don t even rebuild them anymore we sub them out . I don t know how this place is even in business. Do not deal with these people. Now I m down $4500 due to there lies and deceit.

Buyer beware. Engine World is a joke. They rebuilt my engine but refuse to honor their warranty. This company only cares about making a buck. I'm taking them to small claims court. Please read other Google and Yelp reviews before deciding to use this dishonest company. Note the Better Business Bureau rating is only a B minus. THIS SHOULD BE ENOUGH WARNING. Also read the last 10 Google reviews.... 8 of the last 10 postings only award 1 star....that is terrible.Update - I won the small claims court judgement!! The judge told Chaz, the unscrupulous manager at Engine World to "give the customer what he paid for". Yeah the court system does work.

They are not testing the engine properly and make the job double for auto repair shops and customers. And if you ask for refund they never do it and deduct 20% surcharge

DO NOT do business with this place. They are HORRIBLE with customer service.I called and explained that I purchased a vehicle and I believe the engine was replaced with their company. So I asked if there was a way to get records by VIN for the vehicle on which the "owner" said no only by customer name.I said " oh man, yall should keep records by VIN" and then he proceeded to verbally assault me calling me all sorts of names and demeaning me. Absolutely uncalled for behavior from the so called owner of this business.Never give these people a dime.

Bought an H6 for my wife's 2006 Subaru and the engine is running smooth. When we opened it up before install everything appeared in good shape and what was in there RE fluids was fine too. Options for buying an H6 from other sources was limited and so I was glad I chose Engine World. Most other sources had mixed reviews because of the nature of the business, in used automotive parts, and since Engine World was similar in terms of reviews or even a bit better I chose them. Also I appreciated the longer time operating under their business name and location since some parts suppliers have a much shorter history and that concerned me that they may be shutting down as one business entity and opening as another as some unrepeatable business operators do. If it helps FYI, I tend to check how far back reviews go, how long a domain name has been registered and look at google street views/satellite to see the actual location along with BBB complaints etc... So for me I'd call it a 5 star experience and hope it goes well for others too.

BUYER BEWARE !! My 2005 Subaru baja turbo is ruined and I am out $8,000. Driven less than 700 miles: blown head gasket, warped heads and burnt up turbo !!!! Refused to send another engine, when they finally answered the phone !!! The name should be changed to EngineWrecks ! Reported them to the BBB(Better Business Bureau). Funny thing, ... they are not members of the BBB. April 10, 2023... update : The bad engine was purchased by my mechanic. I called him today. The invoice number is : 113839. The engine number is : SU-E-EJ-25-D. If you want to make it right, send a another engine to Max's Garage in Lakeview, Oregon where the the lifeless body of my little blue Subaru sits.

Sent us a blown motor, ended up costing more than it would have to completely rebuild the motor twice. They refused to honor their "warranty"

Engineworld provides a service not seen with other engine suppliers. This company bench tests every engine for compression and oil pressure before giving it to their customer. Our dealership has been using them for years. We have never had a problem. It is nice to know there is an excellent supplier that provides quality used products. I highly recommend this company to anyone that needs an engine or transmission.

My experience her has been miserable. I was warned by most Repair shops in California area not to buy from them. I have been told that they have most junk yard engines. If engine goes bad they will just give you store credit. Customer service is miserable. They don't have proper techs to do tests. Every other mechanic I spoke to complained about them.I will never recommend anyone to buy from them. It is waste of money and time. I'd rather buy from a Junk Yard.

They were very helpful and knowledgeable when it came to supplying me an engine. They explained to me what I would have to do when I receive my engine to make it smog complaint and with out a doubt I followed there recommendations and everything went great. Extremely happy with my purchase through them and plan on using them again.

Awful experience. Spent $1700.00 getting their defective transmission installed before finding out that it was cracked and defective. In order to use their fully guaranteed warranty I would have to spend another $1500 to get the defective transmission they sold me removed and another $1700 to get the replacement they were willing to provide installed. Blake assured me that THIS TIME he would make sure it was a good one! Great Blake, why not make sure every one is in working order before you sell it? I ended up having to junk the car bc it wasn t worth the labor costs and was unable to get a refund on the defective transmission. Do not buy from these rip offs!

I was in the hunt for a transmission for a customer s BMW for a few weeks. Most places that did have the transmission had ones with way too many miles on them. Engineworld was able to get me a transmission with low mileage. It was shipped across the country to my shop in just a few days. The transmission arrived very clean and drove amazing after install. I will be using them again in the future.

DON T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I spent $1,500 to have my engine removed and have the used Engineworld engine installed. Long story short is that the used engine did not work. I was like you thinking that oh, that s everyone else...the bad experience won t happen to me. Engineworld WILL NOT REIMBURSE YOU TO HAVE YOUR MECHANIC REMOVE THE BAD ENGINE. So, there I was out another $1,500. In the end I had my original engine rebuilt, which is what I should have done in the first place....if I would of just listened to the other reviewers. Engineworld will tell you that these used engines won t have more than a certain amount of miles but trust me when I tell you that they have no idea and no hard proof of how many miles, or whether you are getting a lemon or not. These used engines come from Japan. If they say that they tested the engine like they told me...that still won t guarantee that the engine will work....compression testing is only one aspect of an engine s health. You cannot tell if an engine will work until after it is installed. And, in the meantime while you are waiting another week or two to have your engine swapped out again you are probably losing more money using a rental...OR AT THE VERY LEAST IT S VERY FRUSTRATING!In Summary: Spend a little more in the beginning so that you get a good peace of mind to REALLY KNOW the history of your engine...and you will save money in the end. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! SAVING MONEY IN OTHER AREAS IS DOABLE BUT DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DON T RISK TRYING IT HERE!

Buyers beware!!! Buy somewhere else!!! We waited 3 weeks for them to rebuild a 2010 Subaru engine. Installed, no issues.. Vehicle is now out of the state and leaking oil from rear main seal. Blake who is the manager said there is no warranty on seals. Really??? They rebuilt the engine that they provided, they installed the seals and 3 months later it leaks!!! No warranty on seals on a rebuilt engine!!! Ridiculous. Lost all of Europa Motors business and all my affiliates.

I was able to order an old engine for an 1985 CRX. The price was good, the shipping was fast. Engine came clean and painted and the valve train looked brand new. Compression was perfect on all four cylinders. The engine ran beautifully and got me through 4 years of college and over 50,000 miles. Still no knocks or ticks. I just removed it for something with a little more power and for a restore as it is now a project/summer weekend cruiser. Great and quick service and they sell quality engines. I plan on ordering a new engine for my old Tacoma here soon. Awesome company if you're a mechanic and do your own work. Since they are imported from Japan some of the systems can be different. I had to use my original fuel system for my CRX since the Japanese emissions system was not compatible with my US version of the car.

I purchased a V6 rebuilt engine from Engine World last year for our Toyota motorhome. Within 1,000 miles, the engine broke an intake valve and left my wife, our 6 year-old son and myself stranded over 500 miles away in San Diego. "Blake" at Engine World refused to send us another engine unless I prepaid for the replacement plus $200 in shipping. (The money was eventually refunded.) A month later we returned to San Diego after we had the engine replaced by a shop only to find an oil leak coming from the rear main bearing that Engine World installed. We ended up paying more money to have the oil leak fixed. Engine World refused to take responsibility for it. The ordeal turned our vacation into a nightmare, and cost us over $3000 in towing, shipping, labor, hotel, and car rental. I filed a BBB complaint against them only to be told that they will not compensate me a dime because the damage was not covered under their "Limited Warranty" that was written in fine prints. I was initially alarmed by all the negative reviews I read but went to Engine World anyway because they were selling their engines for half the price of their competitors. Now I know why they are the cheapest and have a mere 6-month "Limited Warranty". What a nightmarish experience and it makes me wonder how long the replacement engine will hold up.

Called in and spoke to Blake the manager for a engine for my 2011 highlander was quoted $1350. The next day called back in and was quoted $1450. Asked several time how many miles are on the engine and stated under 50k miles because the engines was from japan. So i called around to 3 other salvage yards in the bay area. All of their engine had higher miles so i went with engine worlds. Note: Only reason i purchased a used engine and not repair my engine was because off the low miles stated from them. Replaced all gaskets and seal as stated on the contract from engine world and installed the engine into vehicle and after installation i inspected the work done and found a vin tag still mount on to engine and was painted over with gray paint. I ran the vin at the dealership. Come to find out the engine was not from japan but from a salvage 2011 sienna van from the US with current known miles of 112k from a toyota dealerships last service recorded before being salvaged. I contact blake to ask for a refund less then half the cost for false advertising and lying about there product and miles on it. He states owner will not refund anything but can give me another engine or refund my back for the engine. Now if i went with a engine replacement how would i know it has less then 50k miles in it? He knows i paid for labor to have it install and with all the gaskets and seal replaced back into the vehicle already. How does that make any since for me to pay for labor again because they know they don't cover labor cost. If they told me the truth about the actual miles on the engine i would have never purchase it from them and fixed my original engine instead. I even filed a claim with BBB and still no refund. SO BUYERS BEWARE, if they tell you the engine has under 50k miles and it is from JAPAN i wouldn't trust them. That is how engine world do business SCAMMERS. They know the miles which the engines has before selling from the salvage vehicle it comes from or by running the vin tag on engine like i did. Customer who decide to have a used engine install from a shop and they say the engine came from engine world, do a little research yourself. The miles affect the cost of the engine big time. If you decide to go with them have them show you proof. It costed me thousands. So any response to this review engine world?

My Nissan Altima recently broke down, and my mechanic recommended Engineworld to me. I ended up getting a used engine for a great price. The engine only had 50,000 miles on it. The mechanic installed it without any issues. Happy I saved money and have my car back on the road.

After purchasing an engine, from Engine World, then having problems with the motor, they said they would honor their warranty and reimburse us. After we took care of the warranty issue, we requested reimbursement and Engine World said they do not pay out warranties in cash/check, instead they issue you a "store credit". When going to purchase the next engine from Engine World after this, we inquired about our store credit, and they "could not find it in their books", even after speaking with the owner/manager of Engine World, the warranty has never been honored or paid out. Beware of this company!

So far so good! The 7afe Toyota engine I bought from Engine World is running great. I've now put about 1500 miles on it. It has burned about 1/4 quart of oil which is not bad. Thanks engine world!

My son recently blew the engine on his Subaru. We ended up getting a Japanese imported engine from Engineworld. Our local shop installed the engine, and my son couldn t be happier. He was so bummed when he thought he was going to have to get rid of the car. Thanks, Engineworld!
