My 2016 Nissan Altima did not have the normal performance. The acceleration was sluggish and the check engine light turned on indicating trouble code P0101 for Mass Airflow issues and replacing the sensor didn t fix it. I learned that the Altima has two catalytic converter and the one by the exhaust manifold under the hood had been replaced. I called three muffler installation places for a quote and decided to go with Midway Muffler because of their no nonsense pricing and great reviews. The rear catalytic converter had to be sawed off and welded back on. The repairs were completed quickly and timely. Very impressed with the quality of repairs and a diagnostic report for a first time customer. (The stuff in the bag is what came out of the front catalytic converter and clogged up the rear one)

Stole my catalytic converter. Bob gave me a great price and great service. My truck is back to CA legal emissions at a price no one around for 20 miles could beat. Trust me I checked them all. Closest bid was still 2k more. Will recommending / returning here myself.

I dropped my car off because of exhaust issues, and was super happy with my experience. Evelyn who worked the front desk was very helpful and welcoming, as well as the mechanic who worked on my car (unfortunately I forgot to get his name). Everything was very reasonably priced and they even helped save me money which was a big help. I would definitely return!Service: Exhaust

Quite impressed with the phone call....Honestly, I've called several places for estimate on oil changes and Midway the only one that called back, some emailed...but, I will stick with Midway...this is just for the customer service....I got an appt this Thursday at 8:30amUPDATE : 6/19/23Evelyn was the host who checked me in and addressed payment and all... she is super friendly and her customer service is outstanding. The server tech is great at his job...my car drives great!

I highly recommend Midway for any and all vehicle services and/or repairs! Dropped my Tundra off to replace a squeaky belt and had to leave right away to go to work. They called me an hour later letting me know everything has been fixed & no more squeaking. I didn't have an appointment, I was a walk-in & they got the job done quickly. Extremely impressed! Thank you Joe & the staff for taking care of me! I will always come back when my vehicles need service!

Exhaust pipe broke on 1985 944 porsche last Friday on my way into work... Dropped the car off and got same day service which was amazing. Got the pipe repaired, installed a new cat and Flowmaster muffler for a decent price! Runs great and sounds better than stock now Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Brought in a flowmaster cat back system that I needed installed on my Dodge pickup. The assistant at the front desk was very helpful, she even gave me a ballpark quote over the phone before bringing the truck in. Brought the truck in, met with the gentleman who would be installing the exhaust, and explained how I wanted it installed. A few hours later, got a call to come pick up my truck, and check out his beautiful work. He did an amazing job hanging the exhaust, and even used his own, better exhaust hangers. Welded the entire kit for a fair price, and did it exactly how I wanted. It s hard to find people you can trust with your vehicle, I ll gladly recommend midway muffler & brake to anyone needing work done on their vehicles. Definitely something I enjoy every time I drive my truck, it was worth every penny having them install the exhaust!Service: Exhaust

I brought my classic car for header s replacement they quoted me $485 to install my new headers and they will fabricate new pipe to connect on to my new headers when I m picking up my car I was surprised they did not install new pipe instead they used my old rusted pipe! The car would be on the show and have to deal with the old rusted pipe!! When I asked them about the change they still changed me $485 plus extra charge for parts I was expecting less charge because it s less hours and less materials!! They are so expensive!!!Service: Exhaust

I have been here twice in the last 3 or 4 years. Both times because of theft of catalytic converters. This latest time, the a$$hat crooks stole both converters out of my Toyota sequoia.Dealing with insurance and dropping my car off about 9am on Friday, I wasn't expecting to get my Toyota back until the following week.Customer service at midway muffler was awesome. They were able to work with insurance to get paid, receiving both new converters early in the day, they managed to get my car repaired by 2pm the same day that I dropped it off.I highly recommend this place.

I just recently used this shop for the first time for the repair of a classic car (transmission issue). I was pleasantly surprised by the good quality work and very fair pricing. I will definitely use them again!

very qualified auto repair shop and good prices for their expertise. Have visited twice and gotten good brake job and cat converter, they are timely, and have a fair price.Update Feb 2022: had fuel injector replacement excellent work by team. I Trust this shop

Nice folks over here, they did my cat a couple of years ago. I was here today to get my muffler checked since its rattling. They checked then weld some pieces & didn't charge me. Awesome people!

On December 21, 2019 I was in need of a wielder badly for my 2018 Silver Camaro. The owner (or guy with the broom sweeping his driveway on a Saturday morning. It was four days before Christmas)I was the elderly man that approached him and ask if he could help me' The business doors, and shop doors was all opened.I wasn't ready for his Vicious reply as he spouted out at me, were CLOSED'I said thank you, and said I was just asking. He was 60+ brown hair with black frame glass. I rate this business Very poorly. No business ethics and would never do any business with Midway Muffler & Brake' not trying to be a Grinch, but I didn't deserve his response' Not a friendly Business beware anyone that needs a wielder in El Sobrante'

My 2014 Mazda 6 would not start. Died in the parking lot and gave no signs of any issue. I had it towed to Midway on the recommendation of my Road Side Service Center. They had closed at 4:30pm. We arrived at 4:40pm. Rick opened back up an took the particulars. I received a call at 9:00am describing that the airflow sensor was malfunctioning. Rick also covered all the issues of repairs and made recommendations. The car was fixed and tested at 1:00pm the same day, with a new sensor, throttle body cleaning, new cabin filter and heavy duty battery plus full testing of electronics and electrical system to factor specs. Simply excellent work plus I no longer need to go to the Mazda dealership and wait 3 hours for an oil change. I will take all my Service to Midway.

I've been taking my vehicles here for years. Bob is great at explaining my cars diagnostic and other work that should be done. Knowledgeable and capable mechanics, decent price, and quick AC service. Ended up with a mysterious brake line leak coincidental to the AC repair. Never experienced or heard of a brake fitting coming loose. Stopped leak by tightening brake line fitting. All other fittings were tight. Still seems suspicious, so reluctant to go back.
