The toughest part of staying here, is always the day we have to pack up and leave! For the past 4 years, this has become our Go-To spot to unwind and enjoy amazing coastal views. It s located within walking distance to the beach, harbor and great restaurants and breweries. Our personal favorite is the walking/biking trail in front of the park and along the beach. There is so much to love about staying at Pillar Point RV. From the scenic ocean views and great park amenities, to the amazing and helpful camp hosts and manager!Trudy & Rhonda are the other bonuses to staying here! They are friendly, accommodating and always willing to help solve any problems that may arise! They really take pride in keeping the park nice, clean and beautiful. Above all, they ve always made us feel welcomed. They are a big reason why we keep coming back! Pillar Point RV has truly become one of our happy places.

If your trying to stay in San Francisco in a RV do no do it , I would recommend this place , so gorgeous the view is breathtaking. So peaceful and safe . The lady that checked us in (feel bad don t remember her name ) stays on the property and does a walk through to make sure everything this good and would stop and talk that was awesome. My family felt safe . This is our first time traveling in a Rv and some of the returning campers helped us with some hints . There is a bus about a couple blocks that will take you and to the Bart station so you can get to San Francisco .

It was good spot to park. *Currently under construction 1/2024. Parking lot not so good now.Very gray cloudy day. Walked out the short pier. Saw all the Pelicans, hundreds of them.It was lunchtime, there were a few patrons there at the pier. I drove down the road a bit, Barbara's Fishtrap was hopping and the place across the street too. Left out for my appointment. Sam's Chowder House on the PCH was really busy too.

We had a great experience! Front row views were fantastic. It s a Parking lot with double wide parking space. Amazing how the big rigs were able to get in or out of their sites. Biking out of town on trails away from the crowed areas and not on busy roads were enjoyable.

Will be back if we are ever in the area. Was the best 6 weeks of our trip/year. No reservations accepted. Hosts are friendly and are great about keeping website updated with availabilities. Fave sites 37 and 41. (Non premium) Extremely dog friendly. Great walkability.

Such a nice park! Stayed here for my 30th birthday for a few days and everyone was so friendly including the camp host. Got lucky and had an ocean view spot for the weekend. Had a great time and will definitely be coming back.. maybe for a few weeks next time!

Great location with awesome views, beach access and short walk to Sam's Chowder and other food places. Amenities are standard, some road noise but did not bother us too much. Friendly Camp host and clean facilities. Nice stay for a quick coastal RV getaway/remote work in SF Bay area.

It's a Great location However the traffic is horrible and we didn't sleep well any of the nights we were there. Spots are tight if you get the back row it's literally 5 feet from the lane for highway 1. There is also some fog alert or something that beeps every few minutes 24-7 so that also keeps you awake. Otherwise it would of been the perfect place on the water and close to restaurants. Funny thing is we went to this park to relax and catch up on sleep as we just worked 7 weeks straight not a day off and now we are leaving here more exhausted and tired then we were when we checked in other than that staff was nice park is clean

We just stayed here for over a week and it was great! One of our favorite places over the last few years. Hospitality, ocean, beach, great food, great rates, everyone is having a good time. No wonder this park is so full all the time. Thank you Trudy you helped make this our best stay so far. Hopefully we get the chance to return soon!

Such a cute little spot. It's first come 1st served with arrival by 8pm to get in. So quite and beautiful, we made it at 5 till 8:00 and she got us right in, we were right at the threshold for size and we are towing a car but she made it work for us! Definitely on our "stop again in the future" list, no showers but full hook ups Right on the Ocean too! NO complaints from these 4 campers!

This small RV park is next to the Highway 1 with a breathtaking view, we got here right in time for the sunset. Friendly hosts. Dumping stations next to each Site. Restaurants in walking distance. The only cons are, that they don't have showers and that you can hear traffic from the highway - but didn't bother us. Definitely a place we can recommend.

I'm doing this against my best self interest, because the more you know, the more you want to be here. This is when I get to call the Pacific Ocean my back yard...when I'm lucky to get an ocean view. I've seen the prices rise, especially during the dreaded COVID years, but no matter, it's my respite from the heat of the south bay. Terry, Trudy, Rhonda, you're the best!

Wonderful location! We showed up Friday morning and there were no ocean views. Just partial views. We knew this prior to arrival. Pillar Point takes no reservations and is first come first serve. We were told a couple of spots were probably opening up so we waited a couple of hours and ended up with an ocean view spot. Well worth the wait. Our view was beautiful and Terry was very helpful. Everyone in the park was very nice and friendly. We're already talking about our next visit.

pros: great view and easy access to beach & rv hook-ups cons: hwy road noise and loud fog horn every 20 seconds 24/7/365. spaces are too close together for our taste but overall is a relatively quiet & pretty spot to stop for a night if on a road trip but maybe not weekend getaway fabulous

Love everything from the views to the Manager. Great people and great place! Walking distance to everything you need and want. As close to the beach as you can get, so worth the visit!

This park is situated right on the sand in Half Moon bay and the park is definitely an asphalt parking lot and all RVs must be fully self contained. There are no camping amenities such as tables or grills but the location more than makes up for that in proximity to beach front availability, restaurants, shopping, and marina, all within easy walking!

Electric, Water and sewer Hookup steps away from the beach was great but, the spaces are tight, not much amenities and price per night commands top shelf for a RV Park. As of this review, Ocean view spots are at $140 per night but still my favorite RV Park in Half Moon Bay.Camp Host was pretty hospitable too.

Ellen Drew Forrester in as Camp Host. Not nice. Loud. Embarrassing others in public. Drew the previous camp host before is way better! Quiet. Cool. Helpful. Professional. We missed Drew!

I feel like to look at the ocean right from the front of your RV and you'd like to watch Surfers and you want to see a whale or a seal and there's bike paths everywhere well then you might like it here cuz we certainly do. Not only that but when we arrived people that worked here or extremely helpful so yes I give Pillar Point RV Park five stars and personally we're going to stay here as long as we can

Please don't come here, cuz you might take my spot, lol. This place is wonderful. Patsy, the camp host, is an absolute sweetheart and keeps the place running like a clock. Nice people, gorgeous views, easy walk to the marina, shops and restaurants.

Hands down the greatest RV park we've been to. We watched the whales migrate south, and had a blast on the beach and at the local marina. Easy access to San Francisco.
