I moved to the East Bay and it's been hard to find someone who is honest and upholds the integrity of their work, Jose is transparent, communicative, and a master at his craft. Since it's a small repair shop and many seek his services, you must be patient and have time to give to the initial process but it is worthwhile. Worse case scenario is you walk away with his counsel about your car's issues and you are better informed about your options.

This is my first call when I have any car trouble. I ve tried to get to this shop but both times I ve called with my car problems, they have referred me to excellent outside specialists. Once he told me my shaking car was probably tires and just get new tires. He was right. The other time he referred me to a mobile ac specialist who did an excellent job. Eventually I ll actually go over therebut for now this is absolutely the first place I call when I have any car trouble.

Jos� is an incredible and honest mechanic. Will definitely give you an honest assessment and let you know if he s best for the job. If not, he will find the right person. He gave my 1982 bmw a very thoughtful look over he had great suggestions to move forward with repairs. So hard to find a mechanic like Jos� and I recommend him without hesitation.

I had problems with my brake system ( brake pedal so spongy and go all the way doing to the floor ) I lost 70% of brake power I can barely stop the car in a low speed . I took my car to Jose cuz a friend of mine recommended him and it was a great choice . Jose is a nice honest guy he spend time explaining all the details about the problem in your car and inform you for everything he did to the car . The price also is reasonable . I m happy with the results.Service: Brakes

This guy is masterful at helping you with your smog problems. He helped me solve a problem I've been working on for a year and he figured it out in one minute of talking to me. If you can't pass smog, he's the guy to talk to!

I had Jose work on my car a few years ago and I was always very impressed with his knowledge, quality of work and honesty. Someone recommended him to me and I'm glad they did. I moved away and haven't needed a mechanic since but now that I'm back in town I'll be sure to visit him when I do.If you're having issues with your car, Jose is the man.

Jose is the most honest and knowledgeable mechanic I've ever known. He is very fairly priced and quick. I ve been taking my Toyotas to Jose for ten years now. I cannot speak highly enough about his honesty, friendliness, and workmanship. The most trustworthy mechanic I ve ever experienced. Will continue to bring him my vehicles for as long as I live in the Bay Area.

Truly the most honest, trustworthy mechanic I've ever met. Jose will go into detail with you everything he is doing with your automobile, and wont do anything he knows is not worth your while. I tell everyone to go to him. Thank you Jose.

I went there because my engine made a lot of noise.Jose checked my engine without charging me. Unfortunately, it was the end of my Hyundai Santa Fe 2007. He took 1hour of his work time to explain me the problem of piston and injection. And instead of taking my money to change my engine ($1000 at least), he told me to give my old car to vehicle retirement and with this money buy a other car. He showed me on his computer how apply online at the Consumer Assistance program. I m new in this country and I had never heard about this program. I was so lucky to go at tecknica automotive and found Jose, an honest man. Moreover, he wrote a list of old reliable cars I could buy and the adress of Buggy bank. And to finish, he told me when he could check the car before I buy it. In conclusion, Jose is an honest and professional worker.

What a nice guy! I came to Jose worried I'd have to do some type of electrical overhaul on my Mazda. After a quick diagnostic, he explained the issue and just told me to buy a new battery. Nothing else needed. Can't wait for some car problems so I have this guy fix me up!Service: BatteryService: Battery

Too busy to work on cars even if you have parts and wait months. After waiting two months and sourcing all the parts for the job he took my car for three days and did nothing. If you're gonna go here maybe do it in 6 months or a year when he can handle managing his time correctly. He completely wasted my time and now it's costing me money to not have a vehicle for work. Two stars because he didn't charge for diagnostic.

There s nobody I trust more than Jose. He has so much experience and has your best interest in mind. I ve had Volkswagen GTI, mustangs new and old, corvettes, and Corolla, he does it ALL and is so knowledgeable.

PROMPT, PROFESSIONAL, PROFICIENT -- AND PLEASANTLY PRICED : .If your surgeon is this good, you're lucky!My 1998 E320 Benz 4Matic Wagon had an intermittent, difficult-to-reproduce starting problem that was leaving me stranded at the worst possible times. Calls to MB-USA & trips to authorized dealers left everyone puzzled -- until I brought it in to the Tecknica Team.QUESTION: Why does a Mercedes have four wheels?ANSWER: To keep the computer chips from dragging on the ground (so the cynical joke goes.) Still, over half the problems I've had in 38 years and five MBs are beyond the scope of all but the most experienced and technically savvy mechanics.Many independents make a quick guess without really listening to the driver (particularly women!) -- then just "swap parts" until the problem is "solved," without ever discovering the underlying cause -- like a physician too busy to diagnose, hoping a broad-spectrum antibiotic will make the problem go away.NOT Tecknica. Out comes the oscilloscope, multimeter and the diagnostic tools to find the REAL cause so you won't have to return for another "guess." Courteous, friendly, reasonable rates and a real guarantee the real problem is found and fixed -- even the little ones that haven't YET grown into big ones.This IS a local business, which I appreciate, But if I had a problem with Benz, BMW, Audi -- or any technically complex machine -- even 100 miles away -- I'd still say "Tow Me To Tecknica!"
